I genuinely love love love warcry. It was the first ever helminth ability i got, and i subsumed it onto kullervo, its just so good. Armor, attack speed? whats next, slowing down enemies so you can melee them better? Wait, yes?
One of my top is very situational, voracious metastasis, specifically on hildryn, on hildryn it just drains part of your shields, but it also multiplies how much energy it gives to allies equal to how much shields you give up
Perspicacity. I actually ran into a scenario that it would help. Sortie and Nightmare missions don't let you use ciphers. Rescue Sorties automatically trigger the alarm when entering. On Lua the time you have is very short if you don't know the shortcuts, didn't bring Override, slow at hacking, and bad at guessing the correct one.
I honestly dont like the narmer hacking since it highly screws with your brain inverting the control through half of the panel🤢 perspicacity makes that simple asf
Someone else also mentioned Narmer Hacking... Maybe I am simply blind on that eye because to me it comes quite naturally. But hey, obviously it's not as simple then ;)
@@MHBlacky_ENG im normally not as fast to think on the narmer hacking even the corpus kinda screws with me as well, but we all hav our likes and dislikes
@@MHBlacky_ENG in my opinion it has some uses like for example when i was farming ivara or maybe harrow from the kuva fortress that instant hack may help you in some cases if you don't have or you don't want to run ciphers but that what it comes to my mind with that skill, have a nice day Btw i love your videos i've learned a lot since i got back to the game recently =)
Parasitic Armour actually has a niche. Exactly one. And that's Rhino. Rhino has pretty good shields base and the strength of his Iron Skin is based on his armour value. So what you can do is build a ton of shields, convert them into parasitic armour and then activate Iron Skin in order to get an unholy amount of Overguard. Niche, but not useless.
Him being one of 2 frames (3 if you count Garuda) that can have Roar and Nourish at the same time makes other choices so lackluster in comparison. It is a cool interaction though
My main n sadly yeah. He really just needs to be able to recast without augment then he can cast them do the 12 step program and then recast for insane amounts.
Honestly Perspicacity is just SO GOOD to speedrun Spy Archon Hunt missions. You can't use ciphers, you always have that weird console minigame (not saying it's impossible, it's just bad to use the mouse to aim it) and you can't fail any of the consoles. I have a specialized Wukong with Perspicacity JUST for that mission, pair it with the Untraceable mod and I always finish those missions in about 3min
I started using Wukong specifically for such purposes. Particularly when I wanted to ultra-speedrun spy missions. I was bad with Ivara and was farming for Rime Rounds. I used Perspicacity on him and Loki and they simplified so the Archon Hunts too. Great use.
@@ascrassinit still works. For ivara herself just use navigator and make sure the cloak arrow hits your sentinel. For other frames there's a method that makes it easy to shoot your sentinel. Just slide and look back to hit your sentinel
Another person ignoring that titania's spellbind gives total status immunity scaling off duration ALONGSIDE its crowd control ability. Subsume it on any supportive warframe that already does duration like gara for splinter storm and you get damage reduction, status immunity for at least a minute, and a shield wall for any target. Total status immunity means anything from the eximus units does nothing, energy stealing knockdown, everything. In that way, its only competition is helminth hideous resistance, which has limited charges, is more expensive, and only affects yourself.
Nezhas helminth can do the same but its more clunky, idk why but it mostly works but in some specific scenarios it doesnt. It isnt listed in the wiki either, but i run it sometimes with chroma cuz im too lazy to forma it more for primed surefooted. It gives u some speedboost too that its really nice.
Total status immunity for you and allies scaling off duration, cc for enemies scaling off range, and with the augment you can even get energy back. I feel this ability was totally downplayed in this video.
@@nator313 its cause it's when you are standing/walking on the fire caused by it, which realistically doesn't happen *that* often unless everyone is aware of it/actively using it. More frequently people are jumping around who knows where far away. And I don't know how that interacts with flames in the air from bullet jumping. It also only lasts 20 seconds compared to the 35-40 seconds of spellbind (with similar 200% duration), which just follows who you cast on.
Important note about Mark For Death, It's not just the damage, it also includes status proc. For example you attack marked enemy and you proc radiation and slash, all enemy in the radius not only get damaged, but also gets radiated and suffer the Slash DOT. this in my opinion is a great niche helmith to give to warframes that lacks any room clearing abilities like Loki. I kinda want DE to allow you to mark multiple enemies
Breach surge is better in almost all situations. It doesn't spread statuses but it has crazy damage multipler and it one shot groups of enemies.Mark can still be good for spreading one shotting slash dot bur mecha set on kubrow is the same ability but better.Mark is not bad ability on it's own but breach surge and kubrow does all of what mark does but better
@@kb0t177 Counter Arguments >I never said Mark for death is S tier, I said it's a great niche helmith ability to allow none nuking frames to have an option of nuking a room. >You need to sacrifice a wisp to get breach surge while you only need to level your helmith to get Mark for death (this isn't so bad if you have time to farm for another wisp) >As for Kubrows.... We are talking about Helmith abilities here, and you need to built a specific mod set for that and at full set the mecha set for kubrow has a 15 second cooldown which can be lowered by manifold bond., which i think is not equipable by beast pets. Here's the difference kubrows has a cooldown and you need to kill the enemy (Which can spread MORE status), MFD don't have a cooldown and you get to choose when and who to mark (Meaning you have more control) >While breach surge is certainly better most of the time FOR nuking purposes, that doesn't mean Mark for Death should be ignored. Seriously, MFD is B tier (Meaning it's a good specialized skill) while BS is S tier >Both are similar that they spread damage but the way they do it is different. Breach surge is a more consistent way of spreading damage since you are basically making every enemy a spark generator each having a higher damage multiplier but its slower as the sparks need to travel first. Mark for death is weaker at its damage multiplier but its instant at spreading damage and status which can be a life saver since sometimes you need damage and status now. >Mark for death is flexible as you can utilize it to spread status not as a way to damage but to weaken or CC such as Viral, cold and radiation making it still viable for low strength build. You can certainly build a pet for this but it doesn't hurt to have another way to spread status >I think Mark for death is still underperforming, hence why I said I want DE would allow us to mark multiple enemies giving us a chance for a domino effect of damage and status >Another one for the Kubrow, what if I want a sentinel over a kubrow >Finally, Warframe is a game where even in Steel path, having a decent well informed build will be make it a cake walk even without the use of helmith, most players won't consistently play missions where enemies are lvl 200+ and even if you want to, playing in a party makes that easier. Just choose which one is more fun to you, no need to sweat in the META Just in case you want to fight for the honor of breach surge. I already told you it's better but I just want to highlight the differences and why you might prefer MFD over BS
Hey, working on a loki sinergy for this that will probably help him room nuke. Get a gas sniper, cast damage decoy and m4d on an enemy (damage decoy increases health beyond m4d damage cap since the decoy gets its max health from like 15% health of every enemy in a 15 meter radius) afterwards kill the Target w a gas proc and watch all of the gas status overlap and spread.
Silence is even more special than only affecting Acolytes, it also affects enemies with special abilities such as Eximus units and enemies with Overguard from Bolstered Belligerents in Deep Archimedia, disabling all of their abilities, including frozen bubbles, magnetic puddles and shield auras. It also has an insanely long duration. It's a must-run on my Zephyr, I'd put it as S tier solely for the fact that no other ability can shut down enemy abilities
let's not forget how beneficial Silence and it's augment is for ranking. All that finisher damage in an exterminate can shoot something up straight to max if abused. Silence is also range bases, so you can retrigger the stagger by waffling about and reintroducing the effect to an enemy.
@@thedoomslayer5863 both, so long as you subsume silence over the first ability. the stealth kill multiplier for affinity is easily cheesed with this augment
Molt is always underrated even without the augment. Status cleanse on those frames you don't want to find a slot for Rolling Guard but have a useless skill to subsume over plus a decent movement speed buff if you're building for strength+duration. It's more of a utility/niche choice but on certain builds its fantastic
I think it's the best shield gate ability in the game. Instant, no casting animation, and cleanses status. Subsume over Banshee's 4 and all of a sudden she can actually survive higher levels.
@@chriscooper1449 It's amazing on Dagath specifically. She doesn't necessarily need the Pillage armorstrip, the speed bonus is pretty noice on a frame that likes being positioned well, it is a status cleanse and it has no cast animation so it's ideal for quick shieldgate fill
Master's summons can be used to put the moa behind walls to allow it to hack consoles w/o having to do mechanics to open the door. Lua spy comes to mind, my clan mate pulls off fast runs there by using master's summons to get past alot of the tile. Dark verse and aqua blades can be used on nekros since it can slice up enemies, doubling the bodies nekros can dessicate, freeing his weapon slot
Banish+rift haven on a volt for defection/cetus bounty makes any npcs invincible to all non skill damage while constantly healing them for a large chunk of their health, while making them go zoom. A stretch and extremely niche, but a use. Banshee can also use it to have banish+silence to make any defense target in arbys/archon hunts basically invincible. Side note for khora's ensnare, it works on demolishers.
45:23 Quiver works wonders in survival endurance runs, really niche but decent at it ! It's super chill on Saryn and Xaku, you go invisible and from there it's pretty much the lowest input possible for SP you could come up with but you'd have to use Zenurik to manage energy or glaxion/grimoire could work as well nowadays
@@d.v.2796not really. There's a hidden trick you can do with quiver by shooting your sentinel so that the cloak arrow follows you around and you can freely use your weapons unlike shade and huras kubrow that restricts that and many people do not know about. It's incredibly useful on frames that have poor survivability
Yeah i just realised that while doing a sp survival using harrow with pillage subsumed onto condemn. Insane instant overshield. Would highly recommend using Pillage on Harrow
Empower - Because of the way wisp's buffs snapshot to the highest mote you have been effected by, and can be refreshed by lower-strength motes you can use it to min-max wisp buffs which have numerous situations where it is very useful. Long endurance runs where you have other frames to carry the damage, some events.
Still not that useful on Wisp imo, I would rather have Gloom for a defensive build, slowing enemies to a crawl around you so they do 20x less damage, or Roar for an offensive build giving your whole squad 100%+ multiplicative damage, double-dipping for DoTs, for faster nuking. Best use of Empower that comes to mind is a hybrid Speed/Slow Nova, running around 50% STR for speeding the enemies a bit, with Madurai and Empower. If an "Oh Sh!t" situation happens, you double sling with operator and cast Empower, and now your Molecular prime has 140% STR for almost max slow on enemies. Still very niche, but it can be useful on certain scenarios, like doing Lich/Sister defense missions, speeding them a bit, and if Lich/Sis spawns, swap to slow to help with killing them or controlling enemies while you deal with them.
i stopped using it for a while when i got nourish, it gives you viral damage, energy bonus and it can be applied to team mates. far better than the small str bonus to the motes youd recieve
Im not sure if this was already mentioned but one key difference between Terrify and Tharos Strike is that the latter is able to armor strip bosses (even event bosses) and acolytes. As far as I know, I've never gotten the same results with terrify. So for boss runs/Assassination missions, I opt for Tharos Strike over Terrify.
I have a use case for Empower, and it's one SPECIFIC case. Plague star farming with Razorwing Blitz titania. Empower can freely take her 3 slot, and you keep the 50% strength the entire time you're in razorwing and titania is VERY good at free farming the event very quickly
Why not use Nourish? These 50% seem additive to already built up Strength which isn't that much, while Nourish both gets bonus viral (which should theoretically be equal or more), viral stacks (which, with her rate of fire, stacks up instantly) and even more energy pickup (Energize + Nourish do wonders in this otherwise very energy dry frame).
@@ShadeAKAhayate the mobs at plague star don't take much from the added viral, and you have to come out of razor wing to cast it, whereas empower is in effect the entire time you stay in razorwing
I use empower for a switchva nova build. Speedva to make the hemocyte walk out of the boil faster, hit empower, slow it down when it's weak points are open
You missed something with voracious metastasis. On Garuda & Hildryn you can grant free infinite energy given how bloodletting and her shields used as energy works.
@@hallowfiended That does not result in giving infinite energy to your squadmates. You become one of the best supports with this as Hildryn can charge everyone and give shields and armor strip a room. For Garuda your bloodletting gives you plenty of energy and the healing of voracious metastasis can keep up with the damage. So not only are you one of the best dps frames in the game you also charge the squad with energy and maybe health with blood altar.
Agreed. VM in D tier is just an uninformed take. infused on Hildryn she becomes the highest yield energy support in the game, and I honestly don't think it's close. Maybe Styanax with Nourish on high strength? But honestly probably not. Squadmates channeling also shuts that down. VM is also completely accessible because you don't need enemies to do it like EV Trin or Harrow. You can just cast it and = energy.
I don't think it was said, so I'll say it here, Oberon's smite can be used as a support ability with his augment. Giving the team within his radius free radiation to all their weapons for I think 30-40 second when you hold cast the ability. It's a better use of the ability than trying to use it offensively in high levels
Empower is good for hitting thresholds and bypassing the disadvantages of Corrupted Mods. For example, Mag can get a full armor strip from her #4 Augment if she gets to 134% Ability Strength. The Overextended mod is -60% Ability Strength, so 100 - 60 + 50 = 90%. Then you can get to >133% with more options like Intensify (+30%) and a TF Crimson Archon Shard (+15%). Not as useful as the new Precision Intensify mod (+90% on 4th ability), but with Empower you can also strengthen Mag's death bubble. It's niche, but there are uses where it frees up Mod/Arcane space.
Empower is the last possible strength buff to consider. Before it you'd add archon shards, kitgun, aura mod, umbral intensify. In a world where you can reach +400% str without Empowered it loses it's strength and if you minmax strength already, why would you not pick a helminth that benefits it like Pillage or Roar? It's a meme for people that want to see a number to higher. The closest to useful it gets is for Switchva where you are Speedva by default then you pull enough strength out of your ass that you fully slow enemies, but it requires so many steps and haven't found a mode where it would be useful and Nova desperately needs helminth to address one of her many shortcomings like lack of damage and survivability.
Reave is great not just for dealing damage but also for getting back up to full health and giving you an escape route if needed with 1 click when you're being swarmed with high-level enemies.
Yareli's aqua blades are good on grendel and limbo for projectiles for meatball man in meatball form. For limbo he gets to attack enemies on the other side of the rift plane during particularly volatile situations.
Mind Control is good on one specific Revenant build that wants to maximize the damage bonus from Thrall Pact. You first let an enemy get stunned with Mesmer Skin, hit them with viral/rad, then you cast Mindcon, then headshot them as much as you can, and finally enthrall. You get a superbuffed, invincible thrall. It might not be meta but it's fun.
Dante's dark verse has a very good synergy with Nezha's 4th ability augmented with Divine Retribution (especially with negative duration). Use your 4th, ennemies are impaled, you now have 1.5s to cast Dark verse, which is going to apply 20-40 slash statuses to each impaled ennemies. Statuses damages gets immediately applied as the 4th abbility ends. Very efficient room clearing. The difference between using nezha's 4th and Dante's 4th is that nezha's abbility goes through walls, no line of sight issues.
Personally I'd move Terrify to A tier. The issue with Terrify is that it's a temporary debuff ability were enemy armour removal is temporary. This means demolisher regain their armour when their anti Warframe ability cancel bubbles activate. It doesn't work well in Disruption missions. This is why I think Tharros Strike would be more fitting for S tier with it being cheaper to use also.
I have to strongly dissagree about Vaubans Tesla Nervos. It actually has unique applications for it. First off, you can throw up to 4 grenades for the price of one by simply holding the ability key a bit. But why would you want 4 grenades running around? Simple. They have aggro manipulation. If an enemy is within a certain radius of a grenade and you are outside the radius of the aggro, the enemy would start aiming at it... to no effect however course it's a non-damageable entity. Moreover, the electric status and damage are useful for Archon Stretch. Over time, the energy you get passively from the grenades is higher than the casting time and energy cost. Lastly, the Tesla Nervos have an augment that allows the grenades to store all damage that the enemy they are attached to receives and then discharge said damage in a small AoE. It works similar to Acid Shells on the Sobek and effects similar to it. All in all, this is a utility ability that is not S rank by any means but with enough "there" there to not be placed in D rank. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
Tesla Nervos is actually pretty good if you have the augment with it, any damage you dealt gets absorb by the roller then burst out electricity damage by the damage you dealt to that enemy, so it's kinda like breach surge so yea maybe C-tier at least... But it also works with the archon mod too
silence is clearly S tier, it trivializes anything in the game. silence disables any enemy ability you can think of, so any enemy becomes a "normal" enemy. on top of that the enemies are also confused and don't target you as much. it comes with high base duration and range, making it extremely viable on any frame.
Defy is not just a armour ability it draws enemy fire and reflects it back at the end of the duration. Therefore on someone like Hildryn that can AOE 360 Armor and shiled strip if you refelct back all there damage u can nuke completely in an AOE
Great list! There are a couple of things I'd like to add: Dispensary is the best choice for the many duration-based builds, that have no range at all, but need a lot of energy, health or ammo. 400% power strength doubles its output and makes it also better than Energized munitions with some loadouts. For this I think it should be rated at least B. Silence can be used for fast leveling, since you get stealth multipliers. It's also great to get finisher kills, that you can boost 300% with the augment - also works with Ash, for example. Since it's the very best choice for some builds, I'd rate it at least B. Null star probably belongs in C, but can be useful for very specific builds. You need to have at least 300% duration for maximum damage reduction, and you need to use the augment Neutron Star to be able to refresh it. The augment gives the stars heat status, allows for a bit of shield gating, and using it to pop crates. If you infuse Eclipse on Nova, you can combine it with the Null Star for double protection and never die. Cold Elemental Ward has a special function, that works quite well in protecting you from and reflecting back enemy projectiles in high level content, while not needing range in your build. Maybe consider B-tier? There is one specific build with Quiver I've used to cheese many MR tests, Liches, Acolytes and SP Circuit runs: Mesa the invisible turret. You can make yourself permanently invisible, while using energy packs, operator and other abilities, just killing everyone on sight without them ever fighting back. For this use it's a clear A tier for me.
Voratious metastasis is amazing on GARUDA ability spam builds. Blood letting generates energy by sacrificing health, Metastasis instantly replenishes health.
Perspicacity is amazing if you're speedrunning spy missions just slap it on wukong and not only will you zoom through the map you will also zoom through the hacking minigames especially for people (like me) who have ignored warframe parts and now need to grind ivara parts this is great
This is really well edited and awesome for a returning player like myself. I'm buildcrafting a million different things in my head and I can't wait to try stuff out.
Dispensary is for when you want to give the whole team stuff, not just yourself like the other ones (nourish gives team a bit but diminished). And also when you don't want to have to meet a condition ie playing a bit passive (like defense missions).
Quiver is actually a very good skill to have on any frame, cuz it's an invis, and we all know how invis is overpowered in this game. Also there is a silly tech, you can shoot an arrow on your sentinel, which in result will make you fully mobile and invisible
Empower is actually really good if you're going for an Ulfrun's Descent build on Voruna, since you're unable to activate any of your other abilities while Ulfrun's Descent is active. That's the only build I know of where Empower is useful.
Quiver lets you give any frame permanent stealth. Combine it with shade and you aren't stuck in one place. It's not as versatile as ash or octavia but it can still be pretty useful, especially in modes like excavation or defense
I use condemn on Vauban because its additional effect is incapacitating enemies, to which his damage bonus comes in to play, the shields are just bonus. and when building for range its quite hilarious seeing how far those chains can rattle after a target before they're caught up to them.
You should check out Electricy Elemental Ward Hildryn. Increases her shields and reflects damage allowing you to just tank to a ridiculous amount and reflect the damage back to enemies making them end themselves. With her armour strip in the mix, it can easily kill enemies and it's just a really neat build.
Yeah! Also the thing with Elemental Ward on Hyldrin is that the shields you spend in casting any ability *do* count as damage, so any of your casts will proc it on a nearby enemy.
It should be mentioned that Pillage can be instantly called back by hitting the button again. If you need shields immediately you can do a quick cast and recall to strip from the nearby enemies and then cast again to strip the rest of the area.
I saw marked for death and immediately slapped it on my ash replacing shuriken. prioritize strength and efficiency and get a decent bit of range and then clear rooms with the good ol' "Omai wa shinderu"... fatal finish teleport
Smite has 2 niches. 1 as a demolisher killer even on Lvl cap SP, but only with Mag. 2 as a weapon primer, but this niche is less useful now that radiation mods are in-game.
For Nidus pull, if your smart with you shot you can pull enemies that none of the 2 can get, like out of sight targets, and you can control exactly where they are going
Yeah You can shoot like above you and larva will grab enemy that sit behind cover But still its not good enough 1 - reduced range with gelminth 2 - you cant recast until every grabbed enemy die and that can be problem if you play like status build when you need to wait bleed or toxin 3 - pull just cheaper on energy 4 - yeah larva grab 360 but on many missions there already no enemy behind you so you need just grab enemy in front So I think larva is realy good Especially on nidus himself But when you put ability on other frame there not realy much reason to take larva over pull or ensnare
@Dima666Air With Nidus Pull you can better shoot all the enemies at once with my Velocitus with Riven and not only that but with the Augment Larva Burst you detonate and deal 600 Toxin Damage in a 8M Radius and this damage stacks for every enemy grabbed by the Larva.
Garudas blood altar can be used as immortalize for target that can extend chaining weapons or something like Mags magnetize that is more effective on life targets. Nishe but can be used like that. Simular to Xaku Entangle(i think) Have a nice day!
energized munitions actually makes you only consume an ammo every 4rth shot not a 75% chanse, but a flat 1 ammo is 4 shots with the 75% ammo effeciency buff that is. With 50% it becomes 1 ammo is 2 shots and with 25% every 4rth shot is free
A list of everything I noticed that you did not mention or consider, at least not verbaly in the video: - Smite: Similar to volts shock, was used in the past with its augment to give you a massive damage bonus for radiation. However, since the change to nourish happened which also offers many other benefits, this has become pretty much obsolete in pretty much all cases. So C is still right. - Dark Verse: This has become VERY important to exactly nezha with his new augment. Giving a warframe that basically was only tanky the ability to wipe entire rooms in just a second. In my oipinion this is now as mandatory on nezha as is pillage on gyre for example to complete the frame. And by your definition of rankings, this than should be a B tier ability. it is also still very good on its own. - Fire Blast: not at all comparable to thermal Sunder, it has one specific niche, an that is on Warframes that do not go for strength or even have a bit of negative strength and still want to strip armor. On these frames where you dont go strength and also dont need defenses and have a good energy economy with preferably a good amount of range, you can simply and completely strip armor with this ability in just two casts. Making it a decent alternative and better in some sitatuion than Terrify or even pillage for example. so it is also a B, even if it is rarely used. -Shooting Gallery: Even without the augment it is capable of jamming enemy guns, providing a good bit of defense by itself. also to note, while it IS a damage increasing ability it can actually be subsumed onto warframes that already have a damage increasing ability, which is usually not possible. So it can be used for some fun stuff. I would still only give it a B or even C tier regardless, as it is heavily outclassed by MANY things. - Wrathful Advance: While it definitly is a damage increasing ability, its uses are fairly limited aswell, because you also want high strength, high duration for it to be fun, and frames that go for these stats, like mirage or revenant for example, usually opt for an armor strip. so it nichely used on Atlas for fun or other stuff, but very rarely optimal sadly. Also Melee has the problem that sometimes Melee simply doesnt work. thats why S is definitly to high, A I would understand more. - War Cry: this is NOT just a damage increase, and the reason I made this comment in the first place. You failed to mention that it also provides a very respectable armor increase. so on any frame with already decent armor, this can become a very powerful subsume if you like melee and beeing a beastly health tank, especially on frames or weapons that you want to hit very fast with to beging with, such as condition overload builds to apply alot of statues quickly and spread them around. and ever since they finally added the accessability option to simply hold your melee button to continue attacking this has become a very nice ability to use on many frames. definitly a B tier ability, because it is still outclassed often, but very fun on some frames for a cool build if you can go full melee. - Pillage: Just wanted to mention that you can always just reclick it to end it early to gain shields quickly. negative duration obviously also helps. so yeah, easily a top 3 ability. - Fractured Blast and Lycanth's Hunt: its simply not an A tier ability. there are just many easier ways to get health orbs than sacrificing a whole ability just for that. not sure if this is even a C tier ability. Nothing wrong with just beeing honest. And lycanth's hunt is even worse in basically all cases.. just benefiting melee is bad and/or just benefiting headshots in 2024 (lol) is also bad. There is no case I know of where this would ever be used, its a D tier ability.. it isn't even that good on Voruna herself, and the healing is not enough by itself to keep her alive, and it only fixes your energy economy on her thanks to equilibrium and you only keep it becasue her 4 is even worse. - Spectrorage: it was used in the past as an energy source / CC. but yes, it is also very much obsolete now. Still more usable than the other two abilities above thanks to the augment. C tier. - Dispensary: What? just, what? Im sorry, but this is more than just controversal and just wrong in this case. you have fricking fractured blast in A tier and this in C, this is something that is just wrong information here. I also definitly not like dispensary for many reasons, but it is clearly the better ability than all of the above in this category, THIS is the one that makes all the others obsolete IF you even ever want something like this. if you want a good equilibrium set up, THIS is the ability. it gives 100 healtpoint healthorbs, giving you infinity energy by itself with eq, and yes I still think it is only a B tier, but I think many would even put it in A. You CAN NOT have the others higher than this. - Silence: it also has two niches in fact, both of which you did not mention. With its augment it give a GIGANTIC finisher damage bonus so it is insane on these builds that go for finisher kills such as ash, and even though ash is still very meh right now, it does help him do insane damage. It can also be used to quickly farm xp as it gives a stealth multiplier to xp earned, so there is a niche way to quickly solo farm xp with silence. - Wyrd Scythes: Also simply not an A tier ability. At best it is a C tier, but it is pretty much so useless that I have to mention it. You even said it yourself, panzer vulp exists, as do many other viral spreading things. - Decoy: it has completely changed and is now VERY good, it is pretty much a better resonator now. VERY niche still, but CAN be used. IF you want an ability to break enemy AI, THIS is the ability to do it. - Terrify: You always want to use it with the augment if you can, unless you can also very quickly nuke directly after using it. otherwise enemies running away can be pretty obnoxious if you want to kill enemies quickly. - Null Star: thanks to the changes to eclipse this is now D tier. never use it. - Qorvex' pillar thing: I dont think there is ever a warframe that has the luxuary to never need anything else to justify getting this. simply a D tier ability. - Spellbind: its used for the CC imunity onyourself, not the CC on enemies, but yes, very pointless as many other above, simply replaced by prime surefooted. - Elemental Ward: it is pretty hilarious in starchart on hildryn as electric, it lets you just walk around a nuke every enemy you come across. still bad otherwise though xd And even though you can just be more honest with some other abilities that simply feel bad or are so outclassed they arent used at all, such a trinity's and garuda's Everything else is pretty much on point and right. :) good video!
you forgot 2 things quiver is the only helminth with stealth. silence shut down hability including acolytes negate pulse and lich/sister (only exception being nully bubbles)
@@ascrassin he did mention the silence acolyte thing. quiver beeing able to turn you invis is something I tried once and immediatly laughed at how bad it is. you basicall need to stand completely still in a tiny area. no thanks.
I would advocate for fractured blast being better than despensary as it does not rely on duration AND strength and can get more value from simply damaging multiple enemies. Sure dispensary is much less maintenance, but it also isn't hard to press a button every once and a while for some energy/health orbs. Otherwise, I agree with everything else.
@@thatoneguy4584 but it is reliant on strength, especially as a helminth it just has a 25% chance. So If you have negative strength this Chance becomes very Low, meaning you have to hit alot of enemies, and you NEED to Run equilibrium to Turn These into Energy. Now hitting alot of enemies might Not be that difficult in Steel path, but in many modes there arent that many enemies, and relying on enemies for your abilities to work isnt all that great in General. Also, personally, I dont want to Spam a single ability over and over again Just to get Energy Back. When I need such an ability, I use it to Spam Something Else, so I dont want to need to Spam 2 Things, because that means I cant Spam the Thing I want to Spam. All versions of fractured blast I have seen or heard about are just gimmicky and Not really that good. Especially since there isnt a single Warframe that actually want any of These anymore. But Sure, If you dont have duration but you do have range, and you have a free modslot for eq, then maybe yes. But it still isnt very good.
Aaaaw happy you're enjoying it so much :D Was definitely a lot of work (You might hear my voice crack in the vid at some point xD) Thank you for your awesome feedback
I have some mixed feelings about the Helminth subsume system. On one hand, I appreciate the variety it adds to the game with all the possible crazy builds. On the other hand, I'm also the kind of player who cares about consistency, and I can't help but feel that it turns warframes into some kind of Frankenstein monster. For example, seeing all kinds of warframes doing the Grendel dance always makes me laugh and makes it hard for me to take the game seriously. :) That being said, I do use a couple of Helminth abilities. I like Gloom on my Garuda because I think it actually fits her kit pretty well, not only synergy-wise but also thematically. I also have a Lavos loadout with Golden Instinct to search for collectibles. Combining it with Ophidian Bite and Swift Bite allows me to use it more often without having to worry about running out of energy. As already mentioned by many people in the comments, Perspicacity really helps during the missions that have timers and don't allow you to use ciphers.
Trinity's well of life has one aspect you forgot to mention: that it gives you immunity to status effects. Also, banshee's silence is able to turn off eximus abilities as well.
and its augment makes any enemy a fast access dispensary, I use it on Ember, pick an enemy, cast all my abilities until i'm out of energy, attack the target and refill instantly. it takes seconds.
The problem that puts perscipacity into deep D-tier is quite simply: Ciphers exist and they're cheap to build and literally all you need to do is press a single button when hacking. You can have thousands of these things stacked up by the time you unlock that Helminth option. Like, outside of a tiny handful of specialized gamemodes that block gear items, there's just objectively no reason to sacrifice your Helminth slot and some energy on something that a dirt cheap gear item can do.
Yeah but Sorties, Archons and Nightmare missions don't allow ciphers. They do allow the auto hack mod on your parazon but that's unreliable. If someone really struggles with hacking it could be justified to subsume on an disposable config
I was thinking about something similar but haven't tried it yet. I could imagine it being not all that great though. Those damage linking abilities would take the damage taken by the first enemy and apply it to the rest but then again their armor and damage reduction would come into play. I think Reave only really works on those enemies that you hit directly but I'll look into it ;)
I use it with the Untraceable mod in my Parazon to turn invisible with every hack. Nice with Titania! Also my Mirage's Explosive Legerdemain build can stay permanently invisible on corpus tilesets, where the traps cause an alarm with every cast.
Honestly, I use Perspicacity whenever I do any missions where I need to hack because I use Wukong, and I just slotted shards to give him max energy when spawning in, so I have the spare energy, and it keeps me from using resources on a bunch of ciphers in the long run. I know ciphers are still cheap, but I like saving where I can
@ragedits_ see the thing is i already know what all of these do and I'm more interested in where he rates them. The intended audience however probably don't know what half or more of the helminth abilities do. Great format for newer players but annoying for experienced ones
Fire Blast is definitely underrated. It might not be a full strip like Terrify and its damage is pretty lousy but it's much larger range and I feel like with the upcoming armor changes, being able to nearly full strip an entire room will be incredibly valuable and is worth a lot more than a tiny written note at the beginning of the section.
An interesting one about Empower is that it allows you to run a Flex Nova that can switch between speed and slow within missions. Voracious Metastasis can be very good on Hildryn for infinite energy for allies, and you can put it on Garuda to juggle it with her 3.
Empower is useful to hit break points mainly for channeled abilites as they don't have to be recasted. I use it for a green shard excal EB build so that enemies get armor stripped even quicker as strength increases chromatic blade's status chance bonus.
8:38 - Helminth - Voracious Metastasis, wrong, put it on hildryn and it will refill around 700 energy to all your teammates in around 10 seconds, it's great support option for her, or you can slap it on garuda to replace her team heal with self heal and energy for team
I've been fire blast on volt for years, its amazing, with 200% ability strength it strips 100% armour from all enemies around you, and you can spam it like crazy.
It can't 100 percent strip, it has a cap. No amount of strength raises what it can remove, more likely 2 other peeps are running corrosive projection and they reduce the armor enough to wipe it out
Here is a thing with Well of Life, its the only ability in the game that locks down a target, makes it immortal, and still count as a hit when you hit the target. So far i have one use case for it, and that is concentrated arrow Ivara, but deam is it a good use case, fixes the one problem with Concentrated arrow, and that is your team mates.
Spellbind main use is casting it on yourself and allies for status/knockdown immunity , just cast it at your feet or long press it and it will prevent you from knockdown and from getting any status effect
Just unlocked the Subsume ability on my Helminth, which I ignored for far too long. And this Video really helps in understanding what to focus on, and more important why, and where to use these skills. 🙂
My partner uses Tesla Nervos on her Gyre build, because the roaming electricity procs allow her energy regen and upkeeping her abilities in case she's ended up clearing the room.
The damage buff from Mesa's Shooting Gallery applies to all your equipped weapons, btw - though it's damage bonus is additive to the likes of Hornet Strike etc but a damage boost nonetheless. The ability ITSELF jams enemy weapons and staggers melee attackers. The augment only ADDS the blind after 6 kills or 6 kills from your teammates. I am not sure if it still works BUTT Muzzle Flash worked on Demolishers as well, making it even easier to kill them if they get too close to the conduit if they are near it.
13:10 I've believed this for a while, but range actually does help the skill a crap ton. I use stretch and augur reach and it makes the ability pretty large.
THANK YOU for mentioning the accessibility feature of perspicacity. My brother had muscular dystrophy and it was the only way he could do the grineer one without assistance/frustration/cipher when available
I ran Master's Summons on my Nekros so that in longer runs I wouldn't have to deal with reviving my Loot Sla- Smeeta. I was looking through my Nekros builds and saw it last week and it brought me a good chuckle. Though, I run Perspicacity on Ivara, helps in Spy Sorties, instant hack, it's also very helpful in Narmer hacks, as fun and cool they look, they get boring real quick.
While increasing armor has diminishing returns on DR. The effect of DR has a linear relationship to Effective Hit Points (the actual damage you are taking). This means that Parasitic armor can be a worthwhile survival tool if a player does not have a better defensive tool from the Helminth system (they don't have the warframe in quesiton, or they're actively using the base frame and haven't gotten the prime).
Spectrorage with Vauban or Zephyr is afk gameplay. It works with Khora as well so I can't see why D. It increases energy drop rate and reduces the chance of your frame being targeted, solid A imo.
Voracious Metastasis has one amazing use case that I know of. Infinite Energy Captain Garuda. No need for an enemy to serve as an altar. Just alternate between health and energy. Edit: Also, that dispensary take was cold, lol. You even mentioned it's unique stat of giving ammo for EVERY TYPE OF WEAPON. B teir.
Haha it's tough, you know xD With almost 150k subs there will always be someone who knows some niche scenario for any skill out there so I assume my criteria for D was not the best choice xD But in reality, I've nerver struggled on ammo with any build due to mods so this feature doesn't really elevate Dispensary for me personally.
Molt Reconstruct arcane is the way to go for Garuda, freeing up the helminth slot for something more useful. Nourish for 1-tap full energy and extra viral on weapons, Breach surge for crowd control and spreading slash procs of your 4, Reave for turning % health damage into slashes of your 4, Gloom for slowing enemies and also healing with your damage... lots of options depending on your playstyle.
Radial Blind vs Breach Surge has some advantages. It is one handed cast, goes out super fast and reaches all of its radius instantly. It also has greater range. Costs less too. It also has the augment for finisher damage so you could run it on Ash to instagib everything with Bladestorm, or at least if not for the fact Silence does as well and Ash can turn invisible too
Hey blacky I really enjoyed this video honestly quite a good list a couple of stand outs id change would be empower helminth skill is good for some dumb niche builds so i'd say your rules would put it in B and yareli's augment for aquablades allows u to throw the blades at enemies for a mild energy cost from what ive used aquablades is actually really solid and underated I would honestly say A or B for it though to each there own keep up the good work :)
I honestly think you’re underestimating how devastating sentient wrath is in combination with other frames abilities. The damage vulnerability is multiplicative with other vulnerability sources such as magnetize, reave, and final verse, and it’s the only other ability apart from xata’s whisper that lets you deal bonus damage to overguard-which lets you delete things like thrax at level cap. My mag 9999 cascade build uses it, and with 260 strength I can one to three tap an armored stripped thrax with my tenet plasmor, which is an absolute trash weapon for single target damage at high levels normally.
The other thing I forgot to mention is that since this isn’t a “damage ability” you can fit this in frames such as rhino without needing to replace roar, which is another nice benefit.
Another note on Eclipse: Using Total Eclipse on a Nekros with a helminth Eclipse ability also buffs the enemies you resurrect as your allies. It can make them super tanky really easily Edit: if youre using zephyr with vaubans helminth ability active, the electricity status will recursively trigger more damage with the tornadoes
Tharros Strike will always be my go-to ability as an Excalibur main. As my focus is aggro and being in the enemy's face. It works for stripping armor, reducing or completely depleting shields and heals you for each target hit. Which if you also use the arcane Molt Reconstruct and you use Tharros Strike can nearly give you a full heal in most circumstances. Great CC, great boss crippler and great heal. Perfect for the user who likes cramming Skanas in the enemy's abdomen. As well Tharros Strike has a tendency to work more on enemies where Terrify Armor Strip does not. If Terrify does not strip, try Tharros Strike.
Empowered on wukong might be handy because of how his abilities activate/deactivate, his twin could have a permanent 50% boost, plus his ultimate could make Empower over powered.
With the addition of Jade's Ophanim Eyes. I would add it to S tier. It's very strong even though it's altered to remove reviving allies from afar. It removes enemy armour, removes enemy shield, reduces enemy movement speed up to 90%, deals passive heat damage and has a long duration. With over 200 strength, it only takes 5 seconds to maximise the effect. With over 150 duration, it lasts for 3/4 of a minute. It's cheap to cast as well, 50 energy or 78 energy if using a Blind Rage mod. It's like a mix of Gloom, Pillage and Tharros Strike. Acolytes, Demolisher in Disruption missions, and Thumper Doma on Plains of Eidolon won't take long to defeat with this ability. I'm sure this will get nerfed in the future.
8:00 Actually, the diminishing return is kinda deceptive. Your EHP (Effective HP) keeps growing quite well. E.G.: At 300 armor you have 50% DR (damage reduction), which means if a enemy does 200 damage on you, you just take 100. If you have 1000 HP, the enemy should do 2000 damage to kill you. Given that, the formula to understande the EHP is: EHP = HP / (1-DR%) So, if you have 1200 armor (80% DR), it means that your EHP is 5 times bigger than your actual HP (HP / (1-0,80). [HP = 1.000 then EHP = 5.000] If you have 2700 armor (90% DR), your EHP if 10 times bigger than your actual HP (HP / (1-0,90). [HP = 1.000 then EHP = 10.000] It still have diminishing returns, but is not that big. You doubled your EHP while your armor got an 2.25x increase. I don't know how much armor you can stack on a warframe, but from Railjacks you can get easy 95% DR using MK3 parts, and for instance, an increase from 94% to 95% seems to little, but actually is huge (20% increase) on EHP. [94%DR > HP = 1000 EHP = 16,666] [95%DR > HP = 1000 EHP = 20,000]
There is a niche build with Well of Life with Ivara. Gives you an immortal enemy to spam headshot with Artemis Bow explosive headshot augment. It’s niche but fun
Doesn’t banshees skill also cancel abilities? like eximus abilities and those grappler ancients? if put on zephyr, she’d be immortal, bc in the air those are the only things that can affect her, with her 3rd ability blocking projectiles
C tiers for dispensary is a little rough. It is the only helminth that can consistently give you energy without needing any kill. In fact you need about 10 kills every 10 seconds to beat dispensary with others helminth like lycat hunt (all of that with equilibrium ofc). That might not seems hard to do especially in solo. But if you play in pub or in a lower enemy density mission, it can be harder to keep the energy flowing. For a khora for example i have a setup for high kills per min with like lycat hunt and a one for lower kpm with dispensary so that way i never encounter those hawkward moment where i don't have energy because there is not enough enemies. Ofc dispensary need you to pick the orbs at the location where you cast the ability but honestly if you have decent energy capacity and energy efficency you can still move a lot and get you energy 30s later.
Tharros Strike is what I use if I need defenses stripped because it's permanent, works on shields too, and is some nice health regen. I have it on Baruuk over Blur part because shield bonk is the funnies but also because it being permanent stripping works out well with 12.5% Duration
Perspicacity. I use it on my Ivara whenever I do Spy missions, for the same reason I do EVERY Spy mission solo : Waste Of Time. I don't want to struggle with annoying laser parts (Thanks Ivara), I don't want to wait for teammates to finish their point and potentially FAIL THE ENTIRE MISSION in Sorties, and I don't want to spend any more time clicking or spamming space bar. I did a lot and I mean, A LOT of Spy, and I simply can't bother anymore. Especially like someone said, in Lua, and in Kuva fortresses, and other uncommon Spy objectives.
Armor doesn't give diminishing returns, it gives mutiplicatively the same return For example, having 50% damage resistance is half as good as having 75%,the same goes with 90 to 95%,the clores it is to 100, the less you need toultiply the actual outcome
And quiver is the only invisibility option currently available in the helminth. Its kinda rough as it basically requires you to run a sentinel if you want to be mobile and its duration is underwhelming but invisibility is quite nice.
2:15 I actually use empower on my Rhino (replaced the first) to buff his roar and armor just that bit more. It's maybe not the best, but now I use his first the whole time, while his default was not used at all.
Xata's whisper was patched recently, and it doesn't double dip with devouring attrition anymore unfortunately. It's still good as a damage buff against overguard tho
It may no longer double-dip, but it's still the strongest option for devouring attrition, adding non-crit instances of damage that can still proc the 21x damage, just not 441x that was really broken.
Spectrarage is more of a C, maybe B-- I'd say personally. if you don't have a frame that either A ccs enemies into an area or deactivates them in it or B something that just does massive nuking before they can even get in range to kill it, its very useless. But on frames like vauban where the only thing that could destroy it is an eximus unit or nullifier it becomes very easy to maintain. I kinda just drop most of my defensive abilities in conjunction with something to shoot my shields back up because it becomes that easy to maintain. It's nice on qorvex but its definitely a lot more rough. It doesn't just deactivate those within the area, that being said, with a max range its a soft grouping tool and turns a deceptively large amount of the field into an energy drop zone, as the lure zone is ALSO counted for the orb drop chance, not just the center. I've not had it work very often outside of frames like Vauban, Khora, or Qorvex, as without some form of CC and/or high range, it's really not that good. All this being said, if you already are doing range, and you do have the CC, it's exceptional and nothing else quite does the job like it. But if not it's far below niche
Thank you for sharing! :D I can see that. If you go for range anyway and therefore don't have to mod for it specifically, then that's a ccase where I could imagine it being useful as well. Especially if you run low Strength and therefore can't go Nourish ;)
@@MHBlacky_ENG Yeah 9 times out of 10 nourish is def better, specially on frames like vauban who can use archon stretch, or characters who can slot equilibrium effectively. Not to mention, viral is always a banger
Coil Horizon is my favorite helminth grouping ability. With archon stretch, it restores some energy, keeps enemies in place, groups enemies from all around you, not just in a cone and it's pretty cool. My problem with pull is that enemies most of the time just fly past me, so I rarely use it. Also during the 60 eyes murmur bossfight, we would've run out of ammo if not for one protea who had her dispensary up all the time. So it can be useful in that situation.
I made an ash build where i decided to set my goal as to be able to instakill any enemy with a finisher, i did achive that, if an enemy can be finished, it just got deleted, and because the weapon is the arca titron, it gets charged with those kills, i then could just kill other enemies with that charge, it was working pretty well... And then i put marked for death on him, everything just dies if i finish an enemy, it works so damn well
Which one is your Top Helminth Ability?
It's pronounced meta-STAY-sis.
Thank you :D
ima have to go with either nourish or terrify no doubt
Wow, this is definitely niche, but I didn't think about that. Thank you for the heads up! In this scenario nit can truly make a difference :D
@@MHBlacky_ENG in my opinion it has some uses like for example when i was farming ivara or maybe harrow from the kuva fortress that instant hack may help you in some cases if you don't have or you don't want to run ciphers but that what it comes to my mind with that skill, have a nice day
Btw i love your videos i've learned a lot since i got back to the game recently =)
I have such build btw, I don’t play with rhino a ton but parasitic armor is nice on him
rhino is one of my most used frames and although it’s funny to see big number realistically this ability isn’t doing much for him
Him being one of 2 frames (3 if you count Garuda) that can have Roar and Nourish at the same time makes other choices so lackluster in comparison. It is a cool interaction though
My main n sadly yeah. He really just needs to be able to recast without augment then he can cast them do the 12 step program and then recast for insane amounts.
Sadly you can just do it with his one charge augment anyways
Honestly Perspicacity is just SO GOOD to speedrun Spy Archon Hunt missions. You can't use ciphers, you always have that weird console minigame (not saying it's impossible, it's just bad to use the mouse to aim it) and you can't fail any of the consoles. I have a specialized Wukong with Perspicacity JUST for that mission, pair it with the Untraceable mod and I always finish those missions in about 3min
I agree my dude. Definitely my fav warframe and helminth for Spy/Rescue. Just cast Perspicacity and cloud walk from console to console.
I started using Wukong specifically for such purposes. Particularly when I wanted to ultra-speedrun spy missions.
I was bad with Ivara and was farming for Rime Rounds. I used Perspicacity on him and Loki and they simplified so the Archon Hunts too.
Great use.
That archon hack minigame always messes with my brain even tho I did it so many times already
Fun fact: You can attach Ivara's Stealth Arrow to sentinels if you line up the shot just right. And now the stealth bubble follows you around.
sadly it seems to have been fixed. and you can't do it anymore.
@@ascrassin It still works, I use it all the time on my Ivara, just have to do it while aim gliding.
@@ascrassin no, look at youtube guide from H_ex its literally the best surv ability from helminth
Funner fact: Grendel can use the ability to hit a foe, and then eat them. The arrow lasts as long as the enemy in his stomach does.
@@trentawsome8118 Yeah I was just about to mention the energy regen, which also scales off of strength as well
@@nator313 its cause it's when you are standing/walking on the fire caused by it, which realistically doesn't happen *that* often unless everyone is aware of it/actively using it. More frequently people are jumping around who knows where far away. And I don't know how that interacts with flames in the air from bullet jumping. It also only lasts 20 seconds compared to the 35-40 seconds of spellbind (with similar 200% duration), which just follows who you cast on.
@@SuperShesh2 ooooh thats why hahahahahah ty for the reply :)
Thank you for adding this. Makes it even better :D
Would be such a nice qol if we could mark more, specially with how kill heavy everything is currently.
@@kb0t177 Counter Arguments
>I never said Mark for death is S tier, I said it's a great niche helmith ability to allow none nuking frames to have an option of nuking a room.
>You need to sacrifice a wisp to get breach surge while you only need to level your helmith to get Mark for death (this isn't so bad if you have time to farm for another wisp)
>As for Kubrows.... We are talking about Helmith abilities here, and you need to built a specific mod set for that and at full set the mecha set for kubrow has a 15 second cooldown which can be lowered by manifold bond., which i think is not equipable by beast pets. Here's the difference kubrows has a cooldown and you need to kill the enemy (Which can spread MORE status), MFD don't have a cooldown and you get to choose when and who to mark (Meaning you have more control)
>While breach surge is certainly better most of the time FOR nuking purposes, that doesn't mean Mark for Death should be ignored. Seriously, MFD is B tier (Meaning it's a good specialized skill) while BS is S tier
>Both are similar that they spread damage but the way they do it is different.
You can certainly build a pet for this but it doesn't hurt to have another way to spread status
>I think Mark for death is still underperforming, hence why I said I want DE would allow us to mark multiple enemies giving us a chance for a domino effect of damage and status
>Another one for the Kubrow, what if I want a sentinel over a kubrow
>Finally, Warframe is a game where even in Steel path, having a decent well informed build will be make it a cake walk even without the use of helmith, most players won't consistently play missions where enemies are lvl 200+ and even if you want to, playing in a party makes that easier. Just choose which one is more fun to you, no need to sweat in the META
Just in case you want to fight for the honor of breach surge.
I combo silence on ash for the savage silence augment to make ash's 4 deal more damage
@@chronicler22you can fast level guns with it? What about frames?
@@thedoomslayer5863 both, so long as you subsume silence over the first ability. the stealth kill multiplier for affinity is easily cheesed with this augment
Molt is always underrated even without the augment. Status cleanse on those frames you don't want to find a slot for Rolling Guard but have a useless skill to subsume over plus a decent movement speed buff if you're building for strength+duration. It's more of a utility/niche choice but on certain builds its fantastic
Usually if you want a status cleanse on demand, you rather take Pillage, besides some niche uses or to just go faster.
molt gauss my goat
Hahaha gotta say, I did not know about this whole Moa thing xD

45:23 Quiver works wonders in survival endurance runs, really niche but decent at it !
It's super chill on Saryn and Xaku, you go invisible and from there it's pretty much the lowest input possible for SP you could come up with but you'd have to use Zenurik to manage energy or glaxion/grimoire could work as well nowadays
Agreed. If you want stealth on a non stealth Frame then Quiver can deliver this ;)
I feel just using shade and that companions ghost perk goes better than that modified ivaras quiver.
Not many people seem to be aware that you can tap pillage when it's out to bring shields back instantly if you need them quick,
Yeah i just realised that while doing a sp survival using harrow with pillage subsumed onto condemn.
Thank you for the input! Didn't see this one ;)
Bosses and accolytes can't be stripped yeah
I agree... I used Tharos Strike to strip accolytes and bosses.. it strips even Eximus who are immune to terrify.. and TS gives you health and shield
also tharos strike strip shields that can be useful on corpus disruption or farming guy with granum coins
cc immune enemies resist the spook and so they don't get stripped which is the caveat for terrify
@@OrangeCreamsicle No, Terrify still strips eximus units even if they're not feared. Always has.
You were surely cooking right there :O
@@ShadeAKAhayate the mobs at plague star don't take much from the added viral, and you have to come out of razor wing to cast it, whereas empower is in effect the entire time you stay in razorwing
I use empower for a switchva nova build. Speedva to make the hemocyte walk out of the boil faster, hit empower, slow it down when it's weak points are open
@@Cthalpa You can cast Nourish while in Razorwing mode :) But I get that some resistances can screw the math with damage increase.
You missed something with voracious metastasis. On Garuda & Hildryn you can grant free infinite energy given how bloodletting and her shields used as energy works.
Yeah but you could just use Molt Reconstruct and save the Helminth slot for something more useful
I use gloom on Garuda as her ult completely fills her health on cast while in gloom and the slow gives her time to kill😊
I use rebuild Shields for infested missions
I don't think it was said, so I'll say it here, Oberon's smite can be used as a support ability with his augment. Giving the team within his radius free radiation to all their weapons for I think 30-40 second when you hold cast the ability.
It's a better use of the ability than trying to use it offensively in high levels
That's nice indeed, but at that point just run Roar as it scales like faction mods and doesn't cost a mod slot for augments
You're right, the Augment is quite good ^-^
Wouldn't change the rating in my opinion, but I agree that I could've mentioned it ;)
@@bludde3 I tend to use Roar's augment for the range increase.
@@MHBlacky_ENG I'm fine with it rating staying the same, it's still a C tier ability even with the augment. DE, please buff my goat frame 😭
It's niche, but there are uses where it frees up Mod/Arcane space.
it's also good for warframe that have long duration or permanant abilities such as wisp's motes that only need to benifit from empower once
Right, I didn't think about that but sure, you can storm through a group of enemies like with Rhino's Charge :D
Mirage Reave discoball build. Its an old meme not even sure if it works anymore.
Yareli's aqua blades are good on grendel and limbo for projectiles for meatball man in meatball form. For limbo he gets to attack enemies on the other side of the rift plane during particularly volatile situations.
Oh, didn't think about this on Limbo... Thank you for sharing ;)
Usualy if enemy loose armor they already dead even without any other debufs or damage vulnerability
But it also works with the archon mod too
I agree
silence is clearly S tier, it trivializes anything in the game. silence disables any enemy ability you can think of, so any enemy becomes a "normal" enemy. on top of that the enemies are also confused and don't target you as much. it comes with high base duration and range, making it extremely viable on any frame.
I used to run it in a low range Nekros with Skiajati. Invisibility on finisher is nice.
Defy is not just a armour ability it draws enemy fire and reflects it back at the end of the duration. Therefore on someone like Hildryn that can AOE 360 Armor and shiled strip if you refelct back all there damage u can nuke completely in an AOE
Great list! There are a couple of things I'd like to add:
Dispensary is the best choice for the many duration-based builds, that have no range at all, but need a lot of energy, health or ammo.
Bros got green banshee
I mean who better to run Neon Green Banshee than the Neon green UA-camr :P
Voratious metastasis is amazing on GARUDA ability spam builds. Blood letting generates energy by sacrificing health, Metastasis instantly replenishes health.
Perspicacity is amazing if you're speedrunning spy missions
just slap it on wukong and not only will you zoom through the map you will also zoom through the hacking minigames
especially for people (like me) who have ignored warframe parts and now need to grind ivara parts this is great
This is really well edited and awesome for a returning player like myself.
👍Yea because dispensary don't require any kill to get the stuff. You can't always get 60 kills a minute
Also - ammo pickup open unique playstyle - archgun
You can summon it and play all mission with it
@@Dima666Air Thanks for mentioning the archgun. I thought it replenished it but never looked into it
21:56 idk if u forget it or didn't know, but pillage also clean you status effects on cast. That a plus for it.
Thanks for adding that :D
Yep, and not only you but also all allies in the LoS.
Thank you! I will try this out onve the Armor changes are through ;)
Just came back to warframe about a month ago. A lot of your videos has been helpful. I started playing back in 2015.
Welcome back! Nice to have you here :D
Thank you a lot for your amazing feedback!
Yeah
You can shoot like above you and larva will grab enemy that sit behind cover
But still its not good enough
1 - reduced range with gelminth
2 - you cant recast until every grabbed enemy die and that can be problem if you play like status build when you need to wait bleed or toxin
3 - pull just cheaper on energy
4 - yeah larva grab 360 but on many missions there already no enemy behind you so you need just grab enemy in front
So I think larva is realy good
Especially on nidus himself
But when you put ability on other frame there not realy much reason to take larva over pull or ensnare
Simular to Xaku Entangle(i think)
Have a nice day!
energized munitions actually makes you only consume an ammo every 4rth shot not a 75% chanse, but a flat 1 ammo is 4 shots with the 75% ammo effeciency buff that is. With 50% it becomes 1 ammo is 2 shots and with 25% every 4rth shot is free
A list of everything I noticed that you did not mention or consider, at least not verbaly in the video:
- Smite: Similar to volts shock, was used in the past with its augment to give you a massive damage bonus for radiation.
- Elemental Ward: it is pretty hilarious in starchart on hildryn as electric, it lets you just walk around a nuke every enemy you come across. still bad otherwise though xd
And even though you can just be more honest with some other abilities that simply feel bad or are so outclassed they arent used at all, such a trinity's and garuda's
Everything else is pretty much on point and right. :)
good video!
you forgot 2 things
quiver is the only helminth with stealth.
silence shut down hability including acolytes negate pulse and lich/sister (only exception being nully bubbles)
2 minutes into the video and I’m SO EXCITED. Who knows, I might find a new favorite helminth
That being said, I do use a couple of Helminth abilities.
Except for mission types that dont let you ise ciphers then its nice to speed run those but thats it
Yeah but Sorties, Archons and Nightmare missions don't allow ciphers. They do allow the auto hack mod on your parazon but that's unreliable. If someone really struggles with hacking it could be justified to subsume on an disposable config
You just gave me an Idea, Collective Curse + Reave goes Brrr
I was thinking about something similar but haven't tried it yet. I could imagine it being not all that great though. Those damage linking abilities would take the damage taken by the first enemy and apply it to the rest but then again their armor and damage reduction would come into play. I think Reave only really works on those enemies that you hit directly but I'll look into it ;)
I use perspicacity on almost every one of my stealth frames. I use it on ivara to make narmer spy vaults a joke
Put it on speed wukong, it's like a million times better
Sure thing. As I said, if you feel you're better off with it then go for it ;)
I use it with the Untraceable mod in my Parazon to turn invisible with every hack.
I know ciphers are still cheap, but I like saving where I can
Why dont you show an actual list?
To get people to watch the video
@ragedits_ see the thing is i already know what all of these do and I'm more interested in where he rates them. The intended audience however probably don't know what half or more of the helminth abilities do. Great format for newer players but annoying for experienced ones
@@robotic-race True
Because people will just skip to the end of the video
Fire Blast is definitely underrated. It might not be a full strip like Terrify and its damage is pretty lousy but it's much larger range and I feel like with the upcoming armor changes, being able to nearly full strip an entire room will be incredibly valuable and is worth a lot more than a tiny written note at the beginning of the section.
I like fire blast, 1 or 2 skills and strip armor, i use in my valkyr
An interesting one about Empower is that it allows you to run a Flex Nova that can switch between speed and slow within missions.
Voracious Metastasis can be very good on Hildryn for infinite energy for allies, and you can put it on Garuda to juggle it with her 3.
Empower is useful to hit break points mainly for channeled abilites as they don't have to be recasted. I use it for a green shard excal EB build so that enemies get armor stripped even quicker as strength increases chromatic blade's status chance bonus.
5:30 chifer?
8:38 - Helminth - Voracious Metastasis, wrong, put it on hildryn and it will refill around 700 energy to all your teammates in around 10 seconds, it's great support option for her, or you can slap it on garuda to replace her team heal with self heal and energy for team
I've been fire blast on volt for years, its amazing, with 200% ability strength it strips 100% armour from all enemies around you, and you can spam it like crazy.
It can't 100 percent strip, it has a cap. No amount of strength raises what it can remove, more likely 2 other peeps are running corrosive projection and they reduce the armor enough to wipe it out
Fire Blast has the bad line of sight mechanics. Hopefully it gets treated well with the next set of LoS improvements.
@@noahboddie3482 Yes it can, just use it twice
Here is a thing with Well of Life, its the only ability in the game that locks down a target, makes it immortal, and still count as a hit when you hit the target.
So far i have one use case for it, and that is concentrated arrow Ivara, but deam is it a good use case, fixes the one problem with Concentrated arrow, and that is your team mates.
I use it with it's augment pool of life on my tenet grigori mag, lets me get 12x combo for free status immunity and unlimited energy
Why not put it in a tier list? Oh yeah you need to squeeze more view time...
Why are you watching a video if you want to see a picture?
@kiterio554 You think I'd watch a video if there were reliable tierlists already lol
Spellbind main use is casting it on yourself and allies for status/knockdown immunity , just cast it at your feet or long press it and it will prevent you from knockdown and from getting any status effect

Youre so funny😐😐
tf you taking about
This trend need to die down. This is the most annoying trend to exist. 🤦
It increases energy drop rate and reduces the chance of your frame being targeted, solid A imo.
i LOVE golden instict. one of my favorite farms is treasure hunting, and it made my kuria farm sooooo much easier
B teir.
Haha it's tough, you know xD
With almost 150k subs there will always be someone who knows some niche scenario for any skill out there so I assume my criteria for D was not the best choice xD
But in reality, I've nerver struggled on ammo with any build due to mods so this feature doesn't really elevate Dispensary for me personally.
Thanks for all your videos. Getting back into Warframe, and man feels like I have never played, LOL completely lost hahahaha
Thank you for the lovely feedback!
Another note on Eclipse:
Using Total Eclipse on a Nekros with a helminth Eclipse ability also buffs the enemies you resurrect as your allies. It can make them super tanky really easily
Edit: if youre using zephyr with vaubans helminth ability active, the electricity status will recursively trigger more damage with the tornadoes
Great video thanks!
E.G.:
At 300 armor you have 50% DR (damage reduction), which means if a enemy does 200 damage on you, you just take 100. If you have 1000 HP, the enemy should do 2000 damage to kill you.
Given that, the formula to understande the EHP is: EHP = HP / (1-DR%)
So, if you have 1200 armor (80% DR), it means that your EHP is 5 times bigger than your actual HP (HP / (1-0,80). [HP = 1.000 then EHP = 5.000]
If you have 2700 armor (90% DR), your EHP if 10 times bigger than your actual HP (HP / (1-0,90). [HP = 1.000 then EHP = 10.000]
It still have diminishing returns, but is not that big.
Tharros Strike is amazing, I agree :D
Armor doesn't give diminishing returns, it gives mutiplicatively the same return
For example, having 50% damage resistance is half as good as having 75%,the same goes with 90 to 95%,the clores it is to 100, the less you need toultiply the actual outcome
I played Mag for the first time and man I cant get enough of the pull and melee combo. so fun.
Xata's whisper was patched recently, and it doesn't double dip with devouring attrition anymore unfortunately. It's still good as a damage buff against overguard tho
I should really use it more :O
It may no longer double-dip, but it's still the strongest option for devouring attrition, adding non-crit instances of damage that can still proc the 21x damage, just not 441x that was really broken.
glad to see youre going with the green banshee meta, video incoming?
I think DE was simply cosplaying as MHBlacky :P
I can see that.
If you long press Titania Spellbind She self casts it and nearby allies gain Status Cleanse/Immunity as well as they're close to the target.
