Tanya's Story - The Knibb Talks 2022

When we met Tanya, she had only been in the UK for 3 months. This amazing young lady has had an extremely traumatic journey but is strong and making a good life for herself. We applauded her courage to tell her story.
The idea for The Knibb Talks is based on the highly successful American storytelling project called 'The Moth'.
Picture the Difference created this event as part of the Kettering's Cultural Programme, in order to celebrate the diverse stories and people of Kettering. We hope it will be the first of many.
We recognise that a town is not just its buildings, but the people that live within them; it's our stories, our choices and our actions that become the heritage of Kettering.
We hope that in sharing these true stories, we can recognise and celebrate both our commonality and our differences with others in our community. In so doing, we build a legacy of tolerance and hope.
