Drops after I just got an A earlier today on my research paper I did on Vince Staples for English 120.
Imhotep Tafari thesis was somethin like “despite Vince Staples’ violent and distasteful lyricism, Staples accurately depicts the everyday problems faced by low income families and disadvantaged youth of the Long Beach community.” The idea was supposed to be about how rap has a stigma suggesting it influences the culture violently while my paper suggested it it’s more so art that imitates life and rap is influenced by the culture not vice versa.
