I have some doubts. Some of the faculty who are indulging in unbecoming behaviour are supposed to be senior people. Did they wait till the exit of Leela Samson for behaving this way?
Leela Samson changed the original logo designed by Rukmini Arundale which contained the emblem of Nataraja and dancing vinayaka. Apparently, this has something to do with the universalism of the Theosophical Society. If so, why did Rukmani Arundale, a theosophist, design such a logo that went against the tenets of the theosophical society? Obviously, the woke were unhappy when Leela Samson had to resign.
According to a Times of India report she was questioned, about the irregularities found by the CAG, by a panel that included Gopalakrishna Gandhi, who is not a Hindutvavadi. The fact that the whole thing started with a post by Leela Samson that she removed immediately makes me very suspicious. Of course, the usual suspects like T. N. Krishna wade into the controversy.
I do concede the possibility that this has nothing to do with Leela Samson and there is misbehaviour by the faculty. If this is the case, I hope that the enquiry delivers justice to the affected students.

Thanks for not blurring the face of the devil who committed such heinous crimes under the guise of a Guru. Appalled by this revelation. Hope victims get justice/

The students deserve to be acknowledged for speaking up, which is never easy. More power to the one who filed a police complaint. Credit to Leela Samson for putting a spotlight on the issue. And to The Print for its sustained coverage.

i am baffled but not surprised. if that makes any sense. Sexual Harassment is like a sielnt parasite in our society, as a woman, I have NEVER felt 100% safe outside my house at any given point of my vivid memory. I still don't and I don't expect to in the near or distant future. That's because our society is still teaching Girls to be safe instead of teaching Boys to fucking behave themselves. i wonder how many women must have had to go through so much pressure that only now we are seeing some cases come up. It's like the tip of an ice berg. i don't think this is all there is to it. But great work.

Most boys do not harass and not all women are victims, some are Culprits too.

Great job, but a bit of context can make it worthwhile since most of this is now in public domain. What did NCW do and why did NCW shield the predators? What is the current director's role in this predatory saga? How is Hari Padman, an assistant professor so powerful?

Hello! NCW seems to have dropped its investigation because there was no written complaint by then. Hari Padman is the most influential man on campus because of his role in casting for the repertory - the college's dance drama contingent. Please refer to our story in description for more details on the same. Keeping a time limit in mind, I didn't include these details. Apologies for the same. I hope this clarifies somethings. Thank you!

      1. Why wasn't a police complaint filed, since it was clearly a criminal case?
      2. Why did NCW make a mockery of the case by asking the victims to narrate their ordeal in public - isn't it rather strange considering it is supposed to be on the side of the victims?
      3. Why was the current director shielding the culprits?
      4. What action is being considered against NCW and the current director who has wilfully tried to discredit students?
      4. What is the current status of the rest of the three perpetrators?

I wish you would throw a light on predatory professors like Mahitosh Mandal of Presidency College, Calcutta and Angshuman Kar of Burdwan University, West Bengal who've been shielded from heavy punishment because of their political connections. The slap-on-the-hand consequences have led to emboldened perverts in academia.
As for Kalashetra, a lot of opinions I have read seem to consider it a Left-Liberal witchhunt attempt by earlier regime's acolytes. TBH, I just hope there's an impartial enquiry.
