When it asks for the region/country, select "International" or whatever it's called. This way you can get a clean windows install without any of the region specific bloatware.
If you want to add any mcrosoft apps later, you will need a microsft account. Sorry, but I'm not sure what the big deal is logging without a ms account anyway. I do this with a pin login and it works fine. Also, makes it easier to contact and get help from Microsoft, which I have done occasionally.
This reminds me of some trick back in XP where there was a key sequence to bring up a cmd prompt during the setup and you could reset the computer password
How do you see if hardware is functioning if you can only enter bios? How about with Remote Desktop? My gaming computer has part timers with the monitor plugged into the graphics card and not the cpu. So that one is through power shell.
