Is anyone still listening to this PV in April 2024? When I first heard this song as a kid, I didn't understand the English lyrics, but I loved the melody. Years passed after I studied English, and here I am listening to it again. I still absolutely adore this song.
My first concert in the late 80’s. Loudness opened up. In 2017, Saw Michael sweet in Plymouth, Massachusetts playing this song acoustically. Didn’t miss a beat
@@troy6071 Wow, Loudness was the opening act?! That's amazing! It must have been an incredible experience to hear this beautiful song performed acoustically live. I would have loved to be there!
That's good that there's Metal and Rock bands spreading the message to God because there's too many bands influencing children to worship Satan and commit murder. We need more bands like Stryper. To hell with the Devil.
Good choice and congrats!! Going on 25 years now!! I will have a place in my heart for this band!! Someone has to stand up for OUR Lord Jesus Christ!! Love Trev
Beautiful song, we were blasting Stryper on our three hour road trip a week or so ago, and I had to hold back tears when this song came on, and I'm 17 years old. Who cares if he has a feminine voice, its amazingly beautiful, he can also shred flames with that voice if you listen to some of their other songs. hoping to catch them on their world tour God Bless Stryper!!
Just got home from the Stryper concert tonight here in Portland,OR. The last time I seen these guys was the summer of 1983ish at Magic Mountain down in Cali. I will say this. These guys have not missed a beat! Just absolutely spot on and Michael's voices hit every single high pitch note still after 25 years. I had front row next to Tim, We chatted between songs. If they come to your town. You have to see them live. So worth it and I would go again and again.
...will never forget when I was on a horrible situation in my life and heard this song.... and that line that goes "I will never betray your trust in me"... That was God reminding me who he was (and is).... What a beautiful song!!!
I went to Panama for a missionary trip and got baptized to this song. I wanted my pastor to sing it but he had to have his tonsils taken out. so he got a video of his friend singing it instead. that friend turned out to be Michael Sweet. Needless to I was completely floored but totally happy.
To GOD be the glory, for in this life I have failed him so..tonight I ask for forgiveness and he listens and smiles..He is wonderful, thank you STRYPER..
I just recently came across this group after a long time of not listening to muisc. I love this song, This is the first group I came across and these guys are awesome
I was married to a horrible person for a long time and wasn't allowed to listen to any music at all....but thankfully my second husband turned me back onto music
This song ALWAYS reminds me of my first daughter-in-law Cheryl who left us much too soon, this was one of her favorites. It reminds me of the friendship she offered, but it also reminds us that Christ is the best friend we could ever hope to have. Styper is still awesome I will be posting this song today in memory of my beaututiful Cheryl, for today marks `4 years since she went to join JESUS.
So glad for you my brother yeah God is sure amazing. Strypers music helps me through the hard times and they work almost everytime. I'm so glad that they chose to follow Gods plan for their lifes so that their music can be to blessing for people all around the world :D

To anyone of you bashing Stryper remember this:The band has been around for over 20 years. The same members have been in the band and they still tour today. They're doing something right.
I woke up early this morning and the melody started to float in my head as I opened my eyes. Don't know why. I supposed I am to find out an employment somewhere else outside US where the pasture is greener. Also to maintain equilibrium people have to leave if you bring others.
My mother is much more desperate than I am that she tells me to leave to work somewhere. I don't think someone with associate in Music can do anything but scheme!
I love this band, they´re the best christian rockers I´ve ever listened to. I´ve come to know this band when I was a teenager, I am 35 now and still enjoy those old songs. GO, Stryper. Christ abides with you!
Friends like that aren't so easy to come by. If you are fortunate enough to have a friend like that, hold on and don't let go. And try to be the best friend to them that you can be too. Love, love, love this song.
Tammy Lynn Luman Blakeslee recently my childhood friend was killed by a drunk driver, she and i did everything together, she wasn't my girlfriend, more like a sister, 35 years of memories and loving friendship gone in a instant.

This song has always completely melted my heart, as it has many others, and that truly says all that needs to be said.

Admit it, Stryper was ragged on because they are Christians. If they didn't openly put it in their songs I can guarantee you wouldn't hate them as much.
While we are speaking frankly here, the reason that Christians are ragged on quite a bit is because of their "turn or burn" approach to proselytizing people. I mean, who really wants to be told that they are going to Hell because they are living their lives differently from the way the bible thumpers deem acceptable to their standards? THAT'S what drew me away from the Christian faith to begin with. I mean, come on, how often do you hear about people being "saved" through the fire and brimstone style of preaching? If there IS a truly loving God, then He wouldn't send people to Hell for either holding some measure of skepticism about His existence or denying it altogether. That doesn't sound like a loving God that people portray Him to be. As long as you are a genuinely good person, it shouldn't matter what your views are in terms of religion. Not to say that I don't respect Stryper's Freedom of Religion (I believe that they have every right to incorporate their religious beliefs into their music and I personally applaud them for doing so), but all I am saying is who cares what their religion is if they are playing music that you like?
