- It's been a long time coming!
I've ran 33's on the ute for two years now and its gone some pretty unreal places, very excited to see where it can go on 35's running super low pressures with the confidence of beadlock rims.
Would always recommend going across from each other when torquing them up. Coming from working at a tyre shop, they always balance x10 times better when torqued like a set of wheel nuts. Looks absolutely killer though !
Go a tray lift to sort the up travel and scrub. Absolute weapon mate!
Do a walk around video on the car mate… motor ect
Yeoww we got the bullbar!! Great choice!!
Yeah it’s pretty neat. Still can’t confirm the brand of it
@@HaydnKamp it’s a TJM bullbar :)
@@SUPERCHARGEDHILUX I thought so, the indicators say TJM but I’ve been told a while back that is was some other brand 🤷🏼♂️
absolutely top build. amazing work
Thanks man!! Appreciate it
Just got a ln106 hilux these mods are pretty cool do more vid about it would love to see more
I will do for sure!
Such a nice rig 💪🏻
man those beads go so sick with your build, black white chrome solid. Might have to copy you and slap some on my 1999 tacoma here in Oregon 🤙. Also recommend going opposite across for even pressure tightening on the beads. Good content
They really suit it hey!!! Go for it🤘🏻
To be honest I only tightened them up like that because I thought it would look cooler in the edit 🤣🤣 sounds silly I know.
That's some cheeky flex
Cheers man
What an absolute weapon that lux is 👌
Cheers man!! Worth the effort that went into it 🤘🏻
I used once this nitto trail grappler 35x12.50r17 and switch back to 37x12.50r17 yokohama due to weight issue.
Nittos are a heavy tyre! I got Yokohama G003 MT’s on my N70
Poor little 3L pushing 35's🤣PS Soapy water / dishwashing detergent or your tyre lube on valve stems NOT grease. Grease rots the rubber. 😉Wicked rig 👌
It’s slow with 32’s 😅 I’ll tear the valves out on a rock before it swells the rubber to become an issue, pro tip but 😜
Love this hilux mate would love to make mine the same 👍🏼
Thanks man! Been a dream of mine for years to build one up
Think the old fella hanging around is a bit jealous of that flex.
I subbed you’re a cool dude man so why not
Cheers man! Appreciate it
Unreal rig pal love to have that in uk blast around in
What a weapon 🤙
Cheers Luke!
Nicely done. I had a similar 106. Got the leafs flexing decent on 35’s after trying heaps of different things. Always wanted the leafs out of a Silverado 2500hd like the yanks do. What rears are those?
A love the 106’s! The rear leaves are from a Toyota Tundra, same width as hilux too. Works really well
@@HaydnKamp well I’ll be. That’s sick. Great option. I have seen them, long springs. Good choice. Direct bolt on with long shackles?
Looks mint as
Cheers man!
Never knew you could get a leaf to flex like that
A lot of time on the hoist trialing different things
Just subbed! Nice videos man love the 106 videos if the bolts were black that would look sweet 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Thanks man!! Keen to keep making more 🤘🏻
Got a link for the wheels, look sick
I don’t sorry man, just got them off fb marketplace
hey man love the video but i always wondered did your rpms at 110 decrease due to bigger tyres and turbo??
Yeah rpm decreased dramatically and speedo is 10kph slower at 110. Turbo makes no difference to final drive ratios
@@HaydnKamp nice man planning on doin same any chance you tell me how much it sits at rn compared to before
Hey Haydn do you still have the N70 HiLux?
Yeah still have it
Nice luxury. New on ya channel down from Victoria
Hey mate, what would you look for in buying a ln106. I use to have a 01 luxy. Then a patrol Gu but I'm going back to a ln106. Cheers man
Rust mainly and if its been abused
i went the more agressive side wall biters on the outside for more grip haha
Might have to go for a wheel together and test that theory 😜
What beadlocks did you get?
Got them from HL max tyres in Brisbane, YiLi was the fb marketplace store. Unsure of brand.
Awesome rig mate, is that Rears up front? High steer? Flipped u bolts? Want to go 35s also
Exactly that man
So good how much
For what man?
@@HaydnKamp beadlock rims
How's the 2.8D running with such a big wheels? Do you have turbo on it. What gearbox r151? Thanks
It’s turboed, still very slow. Still running a g52 until it goes Chernobyl then I’ll look at r151
hey mate love the rig, anything that you should look out for when buying a 106 cheers
Look for rust and regular oil changes would be my main concerns
Gearbox noise also fairly common on higher km vehicles
How do you find it runs on the road on the 35s? Stable / safe?
Upgraded the brakes, steers and handles fine. Just slow 😅
How much were the wheels they sick as
Some things don’t need to be thought about again 😅
Nah $335 a rim, $400 a tyre
If you don't mind me asking, what axles do you have on this amazing rig?
Standard kzn rears , Trailgear chromos in the front.
What's your gear ratio?
4.3 diff ratio and trailgear reduction gearset in t case
Did you do anything to the speedometer because those would put it out
No I haven’t worried about it
Where did you get your shock towers from
Tm fab
Hey mate
You wouldn’t be keen to sell those 33”s would you?
Let me know , I’m local
I’ve been thinking about it, I’ll wheel with the 35’s and see how it goes first
@@HaydnKamp yeah all good mate
Chuck another reply on this comment if you do decide to sell em
Did u feel a loss of power and what offset are the wheels
Wasn’t much to start with but yeah, definitely a difference. -25 offset
Hey mate love the rig what tray do you have on it?
It came off the back of a Extra cab N70 Hilux, I just modified the mounts to suit the LN
are you from toowoomba
Sunshine Coast
How much of a lift have you got on it to run the 35’s
2-3inch however suspension lift doesn’t help clear tyres. Its locating the wheels in the wheel arch best as possible, removing material when the tyre rubs and limiting up travel that clears the 35’s
What lift have you done and what leaves/ shackles did you use ? I’ve got a ln106 and I’m looking at making the necessary requirements to make 35s fit bit I’m not sure how much lift it’ll need
Suspension lift is irrelevant to clearing larger tyres. It’s all about the position of the axle, rim offset and cutting and grinding parts of the car that foul on the tyre at full compression and full lock.
My Ute is at a 2-3 inch lift and the front axle has been moved forwards around 30-40mm. I’ve also trimmed the bullbar, sliders, guards, flares and beaten the pinch weld on the firewall flat. I’ve had to fit larger bump stops also to stop the tyres from rubbing the top side of the wheel arch at full articulation.
There’s a fair bit involved to making larger tyres work for you and not against you but it’s worth it in my opinion.
What bullbar are you running?
Where did you manage to get the beadlocks from
HL max tyres in Brisbane
What’s ur plans for insurance mate with 35s?
Limit the risks as much as possible, it only gets driven to and from tracks. If I need to drive a few hours I’ll just throw the 35’s in the tray and put a set of 31’s under it.
Where"d you buy the wheels from?
HL Max Tyres in brisbane
Did you have to re-equip to put that size tire?
Not sure what you mean by ‘re-equip’
What year model is she
1994’
Does the bigger tires throw the speedo out?
Yeah sure does
толщина стали площадки под раздатку подскажите ?
Do you run leaf retainers or?
I run retainers front and rear these days, avoids axle wrap and it's alot safer
What offset are the rims, do you have ruf or just a diff push?
Ruf, rims are -25 with ifs hubs
Is thst a 3.0 Hilux and what year is is
Yeah motor is the 3L 2.8, 1994
what brand rims are these?
Yi li
damnn, is that legal?
Not at this stage
What diff ratios?
Stock 4.3’s
Do u run reduction gears
I do, trailgear 4.7’s
