The vibes were high, and Saturday held the promise of another great day on the track. Triple Crowns 1 & 2 showcased impressive results with a 2nd and 5th place finish, keeping the momentum alive.
However, fate took a challenging turn during Triple Crown 3, as a season-ending crash for Ishoel unfolded between him and another rider. Elias and the SRT crew had worked tirelessly to ensure Ishoel's snowmobile was race-ready, making the setback all the more heart-wrenching. Elias Ishoel, a true champ, remains strong, determined, and driven in the face of adversity. Despite suffering injuries including broken ribs, vertebrae, a lacerated liver, a collapsed lung, broken elbow, and broken femur, Ishoel is already making remarkable strides in his recovery.
