I takes a really deft hand to "lean into the quirk" but still know where and how to pull back. Guardians used the quirk (raccoon, tree, etc), but pulled back by making their characters toned down into archetypes we recognize (Starlord for instance). Get weird with limits. MGS is a fantastic story in general, but there's a lot of fat to trim. I really hope Jordan cracked the code of how to compartmentalize the greatness without losing the thematic elements. Best of luck to you, man!
The best route is casting unknown actors. I think this is so because every known actor you guys mention already is automatically associated to their previous comic book adaptations.
Haven't listened to interview but I love me some fucking Metal Gear Solid. With that being said, they have so much material to use and if they do it correctly this game should produce multiple movies. Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaasssse make this work lol
the only way you can capture the visual language of metal gear is through CGI. Spirit Within was a flop and killed SquareSoft and sony was involved. Beowulf barely surpassed his budget on the box office, both of them had a budget over 100 M. So, I don't know man. On the other hand, Avatar made like 3 billion (and wasn't a very good movie -history wise-)
The way metal gear is told story wise, I don’t think it should be a film. It’s to confusing and diverse that travels multiple timelines. It’ll work better as tv series or animated series. To many important characters to explain in 3 films that took 20+ years to tell
Really reassuring to have a fan be the director.
I couldnt agree with you more man. I realllllly want this movie !
My god, this guy really gets it. He is so right about how this film needs to be, especially regarding philosophical ideologies and quirks.

I need a metal gear solid movie. It’s practically a movie in itself.
Dear god the possibilities
This movie has to have 30% spy, 40% stealth and 30% raw action. and raiden needs to be in the movie with the same design he had in the later games.
Its official... this guy is my favourite director. I'm so glad hes doing this
Keanu Reeves for solid snake and hugh jackman for big boss
Just the man we need to make this movie!
I could see Josh Brolin as a older Snake / Big Boss

How do I give him my money now?

Please cast Hugh Jackman as Snake!
Radames Rivera he’s a bit old for a younger snake but he’d be perfect for big boss
kingofkings1stfs agreed
He's too old to play Snake, but he'd be great as Big Boss.
Too late Oscar has the role . Though he would do great for big boss as a prequel
What a great art.
Still think jackman would be amazing for snake and always thought Clint Eastwood as big boss but maybe he's too old now which is a shame.
Cool
Was the movie envisioned to be live-action or animated?
i hope the movie will be 3 hours long atleast
This movie is soOoOoo anticipating i cant stand it
Sure...Sure...Sure...Sure...Sure...Sure...Sure...Sure...Sure.
Is this movie live action or animated?
