Excellent match. Jelena was cruising to 5-3 in the 2nd and Ons kept scratching and clawing. IN the 3rd, Jelena had 2 easy shots at 2-2 and 2-3 that would have given her the momentum but give Ons credit for digging the ball out.
Jabeur's defense got better as the match progressed. Ostapenko is not known for her footspeed and Jabeur planned to use drop shots to bring her into the net. It finally started working.

All I can say here is that Ons is No 4 in the world for a reason. She had no biz winning this match. For the first set and half Jelena practically bullied her round the court. Ons truly has the heart of a champion. Kudos to both players. Fantastic efforts.
