Brother GT tried his best to interpret about NEFA but before those division their was Twang, Pemeko, Menchuka, Tsari Chu etc dated back to 8th Century even older than The Ahom itself not to say about British whose history is contemporary. India Hindu mythological story to be precise has noting to do with NEFA. Even Genetically people of Southern Tibet ( NEFA) are of East Asian not Indian or South Asian. Culturally also they don't share any similarities with the Indians.
