    The card not having visible numbers is a security feature they added! You can still use the card at stores. I hope that was a joke.

    Ya know, “not sponsored” means no affiliate links too 😆. I’m not sponsored by the product I made the video about, however here’s a competing service that I make money from lol.
    You have a solid channel man, people are going to watch your content. Don’t get caught up in bad “UA-camr” habits.

    The 1-3% cash back and no annual fee is pretty standard for most cards. GS should be able to handle that. I think the billing cycle issue is a tool used to get people to miss paying by the statement closing date. So now they can’t charge interest.
    It’s possible that they may have either have a ton of people that have defaulted accounts so lose money or they have a ton of people that pay off the card at the end of the month. However I do like that we can roll the cash back into the 4.15% HY Savings account. The user experience in the Apple wallet is the absolute best.

      My Wells Fargo has like 2% cash back, and it has annual fees… lol.

    I don't think you said anything wrong per se. I think you overlooked some things though. The apple card/savings is easy. I don't have to remember which card to use at which location for which rewards. You don't have to manage multiple rewards that may expire. If I don't fly my flyer miles don't go to waste. You can spend a lot of time juggling all the different rewards.
    With the apple card you just simply pay, the rewards you accrue are cash immediately and so they can be spent on anything. On top of that they go straight into the high yield savings so instead of thinking "how should I spend my rewards?" I think "great more money going into my savings" and I leave it alone, so it not only gets saved, but it also builds interest on top of that.
    Additionally, having too many credit cards isn't good for your credit score which is very important if you actually do want to try and buy that house you are saving for.
    Financial stuff is complex (I am far from a financial advisor) and different people have different needs. If someone is flying 1-2 times a month then maybe it pays for them to have a card with flyer rewards. However, if you fly 1-2x a year, eat out some, and do a little bit of a bunch of different things than a generalist card might actually be better for you.
    The apple card may not be right for you, but it is right for a lot of people. Ease of use and access is not to be underestimated. I am so busy in my life that anything I can setup, not think about and it runs itself is a godsend.
    All that said I really do enjoy your content in general and while I may have had some things to pick at in this video most of them are spot on!

    • @kerrydaniels8460
      @kerrydaniels8460 9 місяців тому

      You say all that, but most cards don't really have expirations on points or miles. Two, it's easily automated. I have like 3 main cards. Ot's not hard at all and pretty easy to manage. My stuff is on autopay.
      I literally get way more money from other cards. It's not hard at all to tale two seconds to spend points or get money right away. I $500 more in 3 months from using points than any apple card would be worth.
      Apple card simply sucks for anyone that actually cares about maximizing their money. Put a little time into setting up your finances and it becomes routine.

    • @DavidGrossNYC
      @DavidGrossNYC 9 місяців тому

      A lot of this is subjective to the person, which I did say in the original post. Yes, if you manage all the cards and keep track of them and redeem the rewards etc you will end up with more. That said, it's not just a matter of setting up auto pay (which I use) it's tracking and using them. No it's not "that much time" but depending on what your life is like that mental load may be something you don't want to deal with. When I was younger (I'm really not that old to be fair) I used to do a lot more maximizing of stuff like this. However as life has become busier it's easy for me to forget or not have the time to worry about paying with the right card and making sure to redeem the rewards etc. (If they don't expire then sure I will eventually redeem them.)
      Also, you have 3 main cards, not 9 lol. The apple card isn't the only card I use, and I do have 2 additional cards to places that I specifically shop a lot because yes, I get better rewards. But for my everyday purchases they all go through the apple card because there isn't enough value for the time spent having all the cards, especially since you have to keep an eye on all of them for fraud and such.
      Also, as I mentioned if you have 9 open cards that may impact your credit score. @@kerrydaniels8460

      In my opinion and for my lifestyle, I'd say the Apple savings sounds like the perfect situation for me. I'm well incorporated into the Appleverse. Have an existing Apple card that I use regularly and receive cash back from regularly. It appears sooo quick and easy to set up as it was setting up the Apple card itself. And why is no one talking about how ridiculously easy it is to chat for customer support! You literally imessage them straight from the wallet and they are available 24/7 and tend to resolve my problem within mins. The APY is great. I have a very basic need for savings. It appears great for anyone with the need for a HYSA looking for something super user friendly. And Apple is a known brand that I trust. I personally see no real cons of this HYSA from my personal standpoint.

    Wow! Wow! Wow! You know it would help if you could be a little more objective in your criticism of the Apple Card. But I do agree with you. You shouldn’t have to apply for a credit card just to get a savings account. The other thing to consider is that Apple is not a bank and they have partnered with Goldman Sachs bank, USA and they are the ones that handle apples customers accounts.

    • @drawingjac

      The savings account should be looked at as a benefit of being an Apple Card user, not a separate service that forces you to use something you don’t want.

    1:00 Are you joking when you say the physical card is useless, or did you just not do any research? Because I use it everytime I can’t pay with my phone. It has a security chip embedded in it and the numbers not being printed on it is a security feature. You can access the numbers from within the Apple Wallet.

      @@DayoAworunse Also, the app is convenient and the ease of use is great. The rewards never expire. I don’t have to do anything other than only buy things I can afford, and pay off the balance every month.
      I have a savings account with PNC and if I meet certain criteria they will bump the interest rate up from .02% to .03 percent. As long as there is a minimum of $2500, a direct deposit of at least $1500 every month, and 5 purchases on the debit card. 4.x% interest blows the doors off that .03%, and the convenience of having it all in one place is great for someone who doesn’t want to have seventeen different cards. One for restaurants, one for fuel, one for groceries etc.
