2022 NLCS Game 2 Experience at Petco Park | Padres Come-from-Behind Victory Over Phillies

I attended game 2 of the NLCS at Petco Park in San Diego on October 19, 2022. It was kind of a warm October day in the 90s at game time. The Phillies got off to a 4 to 0 lead but the Padres ended up coming from behind and winning the game 8 to 5 to tie the series 1 to 1 before heading on the road to Philadelphia. Padre fans were going crazy as they cheered on their team. I ended up getting in the middle of a beer shower when the Padres tied the game 4 to 4 and it got very loud in the concourse standing room area when the Padres took the lead in the bottom of the 5th inning.

My dad’s last memory. Watched the game and was able to talk to him about it. Not knowing two months later the man that made me a Padres fan wouldn’t be here anymore. And I still believe the pen cost us a game 6 back in SD. Gave it up late in game 5. Or would it be gave up a big lead in game 4?

As an Astros fan, I really wish it was padres vs Stros in 2022. But, felt good beating philly 🧡💙🤘
