Love to watch the master at work! Such a great work area and group of instruments for creativity where digital and analog are happy together. Everything from a NTS to a Peak! :) My studio is 100% hardware, no computer in sight. I choose to use an arranger keyboard as my pattern sequencer, almost bought the Akai MPC-X. When you design a "style" from a blank program just for the song you are writing these arranger pattern sequencers are the most powerful in the world...but...not all arrangers style creators are equal. (using a 1010Music BlackBox as my sampler).
Thank you for the kind words! I sequence everything from the MPC. I usually start with a 4 bar loop and expand to 16 bars and later to 4 sequences for one song.
Vraiment fort…superbe stand, super ambiance great composure. Je me demande comment disposer mes machines je vois c’est simple et efficace. Une longue et fine planche…j’aime quand au possible c’est gratuit. Super son. Bye
I knew it! I just knew it! As soon as I seen this. I just had to click on it. I thought "surely not! Too gd to be true!" Fantastic setup. It looks great. The sound is decent quality. Everything in the right place. A brilliant UA-cam video. Probably one of the best performances out there. 3:09 is the akai one gd for this melodic techno. Would u recommend? Does it struggle in places? I’ve something of a similar setup but my sequencer is a "mode machines SEQ12." A nice sequencer and powerful but a bit limited in my opinion. LED driven rather that a nice touch screen like your akai. Again lovely Balearic Melodies here 6:35. Reminds me of BT and chicane and Greece 2000 7:33.
@@d-rantz443 Thanks a lot! I love the MPC, but it's not for everyone. It is a very versatile machine and you can use it in many different ways. I use it for drums, Sound fx and all the sequencing.
This is great! i want to learn live hardwate synth jamming. Can you explain what is each synth doing and the workflow in general to create a jam like this
@@masterd.7052 this si great!! So You control the drums volume with the novation mixer!! And how You control the volumen of all synth???( bass, pad, chords etc) can You control it from each hardware synth??
@@masterd.7052 can You also tell me if You hace some specific routing set up? Like sending all Your drums or basses or pads to a send, then apply compresión o SFx. Are You putting limiters o comp in the Master?
This is really good and i live the setup! Are you using 8 tracks only on the midi controller? (4 drums and 4 melodic/midi?). Also, I'm assuming this is all done in one MPC project using sequences?
Thank you :-) Yes. I control the 8 submixes from the MPC via the launch control, which are kind of the drum tracks: kick, ohat, clhat, clap/snar, perc, loops, rizer/crash, snar roll
@@djnormalnorman6590 Thanks 😊 I use a Mackie Onyx 12. It has multitrack over usb, what I use for separate tracks. For the jams I only use the stereo out.
Great set, well rehearsed. Do you use Song Modes in MPC or do you switch patterns on fly? I do not seem to find a way you do it, as you're mostly adjusting the midi controller
Thanks man 😊 I don't use song mode on the MPC, but I use the sequences. The whole jam is one big project, and a track consists usually of 4 or 8 sequences. I'm switching the sequences on the fly, but also switch on and off different tracks in one sequence, for additional sounds or solos. The launch control is only for the drums, which are from the MPC. GREAT!!! again... 👏 nice flow and the mix sounds really good. I like especially "Hyper Space" and "Tribal Moon" 👍

Thank you! To explain the whole setup could fill a book, but in short: MPC = drums & all sequencing, Minitaur + WestPest + Edge = bass, Crave = arps & leads, Peak = chords, arps & leads, Buzzzy = arps & stabs, S-1 = chords, arps & leads, JT-4000 = arps & stabs & fx, EastBeast = arps, Launch Control midi controller = controlling drum busses in the MPC
