I joined Hero Wars on 07/07/2024 and am a 100% F2P player so my progress is slow. My favorite is the Grand Arena because using the rock, paper scissors method, I can sometimes beat teams that are a little higher in total team power than mine. Hence, my ranking in the Grand Arena is nearly 100 levels higher than my ranking in the Arena by 8.00 pm local time. What I was not aware of (due to lack of research) is that I have been building Magic, Physical and Dodge teams for my Grand Arena in that order of development. As my Dodge team is the weakest, they serve as cannon fodder. My victory in the Grand Area depends on my Magic & Physical team victories. Otherwise, I’m done for. After watching this video at 4:28, I learnt that Magic teams beat Dodge teams. Dodge teams beat Physical teams. Physical teams beat Magic teams. I went on to try this concept out in the Guild Battles using maxed out version of the heroes which I have in my 3 Grand Arena teams. The outcome was Magic beats Dodge beats Physical beats Magic. Iris’ ultimate can be “dodged” unfortunatelly. For example If dante tank is in the air casting his ultimate iris’ ultimate will be wasted. Another weird scenario is galahad that can’t cancel aurora’s ultimate because she casts it too fast. The more i play the more of these i find
That's not what he means by "dodged" though. He means that an attack/skill is avoided through the dodge stat. It's also worth noting that Dante being targeted by Iris's ult typically requires him being a tank and even then, "dodging" it in that specific way ultimately means delaying his ult to properly time it and you don't want to do that because Dante counters Iris (and mitigates her countering him) by hitting her faster.
What he didn't say exactly. Red - physical attack, purple - magical attack, green - everything else in the description. The game uses green to indicate healing, debuff, control effects and pure damage. So if it's written in green, it's not necessarily pure damage. Pure damage appears in light gray during the combat, the green is the healing.
All of these mechanics could be much more worthy if manual playing was somehow more reliable, you could time artifact activation and skills more properly.
@@HeroWarsCentral Is it even useful except if you mastered albus charging with pure damage? Feels like the risk is much more bigger than reward playing on manual. Maybe default HP for every hero should be tripled for people to be even consider playing on manual other than that idk how it could be useful
@@emirsuleymantanrkuluall sorts of skill combos between heroes work best on manual. Just offhand, if you have a mage team with Polaris and/or Merlin, waiting to do magic damage ults until immediately after doing Merlin's ult and/or after True Freeze will result in 59%, 140%, or 199% additional magic damage depending on whether you time the damage with Merlin's ult, Polaris' skill, or both. If you have a mixed physical/magical team with Polaris, you'd want to time any physical ults for when True Freeze isn't active since it decreases physical damage by 80%.
Thank you Charlie for explaining the colors simply and clearly. Question: One thing I do not understand is that you said that Iris does only physical damage. Does that mean she can kill Rufus? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I thought Iris was a magic dmg dealer who consequently not kill Rufus.
"Physical teams beat mages" I don't know about that, unless you use Isaac. Most physical teams happen to use Martha or other heroes with armor buffs which give the upper hand to mages.
Well obviously there are 5 heroes in every team, but I don't understand the point about Martha. Most teams have some sort of healer, and they all have some sort of defensive artifact. The most aggressive physical teams use Aidan, for example, who has an Armor artifact. If the physical team needed magic defense, they'd use Thea or Maya right? Because they don't need it. It's also worth noting this was an oversimplification and there are plenty of exceptions.

I've actually seen iris expose soul on heidi and then the soul dodged an attack. It might have been a bug.

from my experience if dante is ''mid air'' iris will make a soul of nebula (or any other hero that's 2nd in line after airborn dante)

I think auto being locked in Arena mode caused too many people to not want to use it once they hit level 30 and joined a guild.
