Esinam Attivor you are right. Abolo is one of Volta's best foods indeed. Any other region's variation is just a copy or adaptation. Volta, the Togolese and the Beninoise own the origins of the Abolo, period!
Thank You so much Fafa. I’ve always wanted to make abolo but didn’t know how. Now I’m going to try making it using your recipe. I’ve got three absolute favourites from Ghana which I didn’t have a clue how to make. Abolo, Dzowe and Asaana. Thanks to you, the mystery is solved. I will be making them when I can get the ingredients and feedback. Thank you again.
Veryyyyy beautiful, classy, you express yourself well and you have good manners! On top of that your kitchen is very clean!! Bravo!! A Lady from Côte D’ivoire 🇨🇮
Ok merci parce que votre nourriture est commercialisé en côte d'Ivoire moi je suis à l'étranger j'aime bien mais quand on regarde vos vidéos tout est en anglais et sa décourage merci de faire la différence que l'éternel vous bénisse
Hi Fafa. Great recipe. I tried making abolo your way but had difficulty because of the yeast. I believe you only add yeast directly if it is fast rising or rapid rise yeast. If it is active dry yeast, you first have to proof it in warm water and let it foam up before adding it in. Is that the case? If so the list of ingredients should say fast rising or rapid rise yeast. Thanks for bringing a bit of EWELAND to Obroniland!
My my my, now that's Abolo showing off its alimentary elegance with the perfect nooks and crannies...Would you please make 'Yakayake'? It will be the first recipe on UA-cam. TFS Sis, love you bunches
wow thank u l am going to make some l always dream of going back to Ghana and travel to the Adome bridge to buy some my father used to buy some from the Akosombo dame when they drain the they the fish in the dame and one akeaabi weigh like tone so my dad always go there and he always brings back aboloo oh thank u dear l will make some l am a vegetarian so l will not add the abobie.
I was just eating abolo I recently acquired from the village thinking on how much I missed it when it just hit me it's 2021 the internet is a thing... I'm gonna make my own
I was really excited to try this recipe (seriously excited since this is one of my absolute favorite dishes) but it just didn’t work for me. I followed your instructions to a T and even weighed everything for the exact grams. Mine was too thick I ended up adding some additional water. Then it just wasn’t sweet enough so I added a lot more sugar. But it also didn’t ferment properly. The consistency ended up too “doughy” and too firm. I left mine to rise 2hrs so I thought it would have been more than fermented. I also don’t have the Ghana corn meal so I used the regular white corn meal you can find in stores, similar to the one you used. What did I do wrong? Can you help?
@@trudykeziaabayirenkyi8424 . Really, can you mention a town among the akans that does this. Because i have always seen this among ewes especially (Voltarians, togolais and Beninese. And even among the UA-camrs , it's done by Voltarians, 🇹🇬🇧🇯. They have the baked version of abolo too.
Fafa, volta they have recipe called (Etuku), they use cassava the same method like bankye krakro but they add only salt together and steam it like Abolo, and they eat together with frying keta school boys, any fish or any stew you want. But I don't know if you know the recipe. Before I use to bought it ones in a while to ate.
