Loved the mask and how it turned out! Still trying to get M and I motivated to figure out his WW2 bomber but it’s kind of a beast. Going through the magazine wasn’t my cup of tea at first. Later on and by the time we were at C3PO vs the Terminator, I was engaged! The last bit was completely inspiring and I have my new idea for a diorama with my gunpla! Yes, keep it small, but I do love creating big scapes. Guess I’ll save that for when I’m helping the kids create dios for school 😊
Thank you, I hope you get inspired to try "up-cycling" costumes or props too! This is great feedback and thank you so much for taking the time out to write such a thoughtful response. Big scapes are good too, I just think it makes it harder to tell a short and concise story. Confessions of a closet lazy-man, thinking about packing up and moving a bigger dio, not to mention storing it, makes me shudder.
Thanks Al! Aside from trying to paint the mask indoors with rattle cans, it was a pretty straightforward project. I'm with you on dios! I work to tell highlight just the essentials and cut out all the rest, that's what makes for good storytelling.
Thanks for the shout outs! :)
Jon Bius sees all and knows all! Thanks for giving it a watch and being a great advocate for bridging the IPMS and Gunpla crowd!!!

Mask came out great! I too prefer a small diorama to tell a story. I like to imagine taking out a small key frame out of a larger scene.

Nick that IPMS journal is great! Did you get that on the IPMS website? The Kylo REN mask is beautiful, nice work for sure!
Hey thanks! The magazine comes with their annual membership, one year is just $30! www.shopipmsusa.org/
