wow😭 I actually had a goosebumps when viserys once said "I wish to see you happy and contended" and he actually saw it during his final days with rhaenyra and daemon being contented and happy together with their pack😭👑 if only he agreed to marry them sooner. chaos and tragedies will not happen🥺
"anywhere but by your side" - but when he needed him the most Daemon was there, that was so moving. I wasn't big fan of Viserys before, I understood the character, I've seen it's tragic but 8th episode I felt so much sympathy for Viserys, because he stood for Rhaenyra as he always did, even when they were in conflict, but when she needed him he was there, and he loved her far more than his children with Alicent, and of course it's not okay to have a fav child, but I think Alicent promoting her kids and shaming Rhaenyra only made thing's worse
If he would have wed Nyra to Daemon from the beginning, he could have lived happy life, enjoying his true family. Plus, the Dance would have never happened
There could have still been rebellion or unrest with Daemon as either king or king consort, but the House of the Dragon would have crushed them with their dragons.
It's a bittersweet tribute right until you realize Viserys had four children he did not consider family and Deamon three nepwhes and a a second niece he never gave the time of day. and the princess that finally had living siblings but never saw the. as family or siblings at all.

All of them wishing each stayed and cursing the other. Viserys because he didnt like Daemon and Rhaenyra getting married, but he obviously wished to see them in his last years. Daemon and Rhaenyra because obviously they dont like how viserys surrounds himself with snakes that plot their downfall, but they obviously still want Viserys love and approval. They all just watched each's tears ricochet but do no action

I was so choked up watching Daemon place the crown on Viserys' head, then wept when I found out it was actually improv!! This is beautiful 💔
