Long time subscriber and I want to congratulate you on your retirement. Looking forward to you enjoying your retirement and taking us along for the ride in2025 and beyond! Cheers
You're a going concern. Thanks for update. Have a great holiday. Best wishes from East coast of Canada. Will be watching it all. Rusty especially. Thanks
Really enjoy your channel. Started watching at the Lotus Elise. I have since purchased one. It would take superman to accomplish all your goals for 2025 in one year! Merry Christmas from Ohio.
@@D3SshooterBelated Christmas from 🇨🇦 my interest are in your Renovation, experience and knowledge and auto mechanical engineering and engineering experience and background information man you are keep making your videos.
26 Years as a lathing foreman in Calif. I admire your work skills, and your command of the English language . Well done ! You will love retirement. I have been retired over 12 years, and it has been great doing what I want. Happy new year, and have fun in retirement.
Congratulations on your upcoming retirement! I'm sure it's well earned. I'm looking forward to all of your projects. I love history, so your building dating back to 1616 fascinates me. I also enjoy your automotive projects. I grew up around racing and have always had a fondness for race cars. Thank you for sharing your projects with us. 😊
Thanks for the update! I'm looking forward to more of your videos. I appreciate both the car content and the building restoration. I used a method of tuning an HV8 SU carb on my MG TA Supercharged Special that was inspired by one of your videos. This carb is technically way too big for my engine running on petrol but looks correct so I jetted it down to 1/8" and had to make a needle with a compressed range of taper. I used a marked storypole running in a brass tube through a rubber stopper, with a video camera aimed at it. While driving, I could note the air/fuel ratio, then watch the video later to see what needle height was running lean. This was all tested after getting 14oz total weight on the piston (no springs or dampers were used in these old carbs). The car runs at the desired ratios on acceleration and idles smoothly. Thanks agiain for the great information on your channel!
Hi Steve, these are great projects. 😊I'm looking forward to the house and OR videos. I'm currently remodeling my workshop. All the best for the next year Steve and stay the way you are🎥🛠👍🏻Greetings Olli🙋🏻
Sounds like some great projects are coming up in 2025! I look forward to viewing. I retired in July 2024 and love the new freedom. Best wishes to you for the holidays!
Yes! Old Rusty! It's crying for your attention as we are! ; ) I wish I had 10% of your Engery and 100% of your ability to repair things and make them better. All the very best in 2025.
Good morning Steve. WOW the next chapter in your life just like me as I retire in March 👍🏻 I’m so glad I found your channel back in time 😊 Wishing you and all your family a happy new year and so looking forward for your exciting videos in 2025 🤩 Cheers Stevie 🏴
Congratulations on the start of your new “career”. I’m in the eight year of my new career and list projects is still increasing. I’m looking forward to the quality content of your channel in 2025. Cheers.
Congratulations on your retirement, I look forward to 2025 and all it brings from your Chanel, particularly old rusty. Have a great new years from an Aussie subscriber 🇦🇺🦘
Best wishes for 2025. 🌵The old farm house has a lot of history and as much as I like the vintage car restorations, I think I will also enjoy the renovation and rebuild of the old farm house. 🌻It is good to see ol' Rusty and get an update on that center piece project.🐞 The cab repair on that truck was epic. What about the 1930's Peugeot, is it still around?🏁
Steve..how about a follow up on the Lotus...and would like more lifestyle and cooking segments..probably in the minority of the latter but i enjoyed them..but any projects you perform i love due t0o the attention to detail and quality of effort...congrats on moving on to your next phase of your life...peace and health to the New Year..
Old Rusty brought me to the channel and I have watched ever since. Glad you can retire and enjoy life even more! Thanks for the work you put in for the videos.
Thanks for the video. It is going to be a very busy year for you. As I looked at Old Rusty, I wondered if this would be a work vehicle for you or if you have other plans for it. Have your intentions for this truck changed since you brought it home? Best regards and Happy New Year!
That is absolutely amazing to watch. I once found your channel because you were working on the old MG-B and later discovered that you are living in this great property, Are you doing all this work alone or do you have someone to help you with this? I will keep watching. Looking forward to all your projects. Have a very nice 2025. Greetings from Germany
Do you maybe remember where you ordered those very wide ridge clay tiles? I want to restore my house and there are old dutch type clay tiles on the roof but the ridge was cemented. would like to place tiles on the ridge, but struggle to find very big and wide ones to cover the gap. Thank you!
@@D3Sshooter yes exactly the top of the roof. Thank you for the fast reply! Do you have a link or a specific product name? I am looking for very wide tiles preferably more than 30cm
Kevin, it all depends if we are talking buildings or land.... mine is 5 hectare of land and the buildings , well lets say its a square farm with courtyard. the lenght of each building around the courtyard is about 35m long and 8 wide. That is a lot to maintain... If I would do it again... I would go fro the same amount of land but 50% less buildings. Good luck in France
1616??? That is amazing! Do you ever stop and wonder about the people who lived there and what life was like? We do not have that kind of history here in the United States. Our property was part of a farm built in the late 1800s and it is considered very old! Nothing like in Europe though!
Yes , I do and in fact I have a complete history on t he farm going back as far as the year 980 where the first elements date from according to the excavations that took place on the farm about 10 years ago. Maybe , I make once a vidoe on that....
Good luck in this new stage of your life and keep that positive energy
You bet....
Can’t wait to see the remodeling and OldRusty!
Just another 30 days

Are you referring to the top of the roof ? Those are standard wide French Storm Nok tiles... You can get them from Pottelberg
