- Massive offers a first-person action-adventure set on the Western Frontier of Pandora. It's overwhelming and complex, but the goal remains the same - fight the RDA and stop their reign of terror. To that end, you have firearms and bows.
While it may seem like another open world, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is doing things differently from the genre's heavy hitters. Check out ten things that make the Western Frontier and its various mechanics unique before the game's release on December 7th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
I'll definitely play it, but I think, it is extremely stupid that there are no Melee Weapons.
I think is extremly stupid to not let Lobus attack Backtalis too.

The Navi are fighting mechs, and airships, think we all saw how well attacking them with sticks went in the first movie.

Wait until late 2024 when the story gets finished. The last few missions are being cut out to sell as DLC chapters later on.

Both Far Cry 6 and Division 2 ran really well on my 3070. Very smooth and amazing graphics. Hopefully that will bode well for Avatar. Ready to explore :)
As long as the performance mode runs on 60, and the combat is engaging & cool, the usual ubisot open world can b enjoyed & many of those outpost can b liberated in Far cry style 😅. This game will triumph for Graphics, haptic sounds too ❤

Totally agree, the only reason why I'm getting this game is to play 2 player coop with my wife, she's pretty keen for it, if she wasn't, I wouldn't buy it because of the first person view, having third person captures me into the game rather than first person.
Have you been able to benefit from 3rd person mods etc to some of the games you've wanted to play?

Going off ign ratings is wild🤣 the best way to find out if you want to buy a game is watch gameplay videos. There’s plenty of low rated games out there that are actually good. Ratings aren’t everything. Same with movies and shows

The guy mentioned some notable differences. Far cry doesn't have any parkour. It has plenty of land vehicles instead...so traversal should feel pretty different. And no survival mechanics like having to eat. And they definitely hold your hand with map markers, which this game apparently doesn't

James Cameron's Avatar movies are one of GREATEST movies in history so it's really AWESOME there is coming Avatar Game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, that world looks AMAZING, BIG and UNIQUE. Sadly this isn't in Game Awards because this is coming in December what is good reason to wish this for Christmas. That game looks so BEAUTIFUL and I believe this will be BIGGER and more AMAZED than even Starfield. One of BIGGEST games of YEAR 2023 easily. 😮😊

Mmm... so, the best parts of Far Cry 3, Far Cry Blood Dragon, Far Cry 4, and Far Cry Primal (Hunting, crafting, exploring, gathering, collecting), mixed up together - AND some choices pieces from Assassins Creed Odyssey, Origins, Valhalla... Okay - I'm one of those weird people that don't like any AC games except for those three RPG ones (although I'm not so keen on some story elements in Valhalla, and therefore refuse to get Mirage)... so to me, so far, this Pandora game is looking amazing.
Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, and Primal were brilliant. The game play of Far Cry 4 was the best. Didn't like the gameplay changes in Far Cry 5, and the story for 4 and 5 was weak... so not bothered with 6... but if they have taken the best from those four FC games, AND the best from the RPG AC games? Hooo, boy! Only things that can tank this for me is (most importantly) the story, and secondary if it doesn't run well at launch. The latter is generally fixed soon after, but I'm getting hyper pissed with games released half baked. Story, though: that's the make and break mostly for me. If they keep to the lore, pay due respect to what the franchise is about, AND make an interesting tale? Not looking for the best story on earth, but damnit: I want it at LEAST to be engaging and make sense.
And no politics and current-day crap shoved in, please. The obvious undertone for Avatar has always been conserving nature. That's enough of anything "current day" I want in Pandora. I want to save the Na'vi from the evil humans who have a cunning plan that I have to unravel and overcome. I don't want to get involved with some random brainsick Na'vi who wants help cutting off his balls because he feels he's a female fruit-loop that needs to be planted next to the ocean, thank you very much.

@@dijik123to be fair it's based on an existing world from the books. The Harry Potter games based on the movies were all mostly bad. Same here. It's based on the world of Avatar. Not following Jake Sully from the movies.

It's kind of hard to find unique nowadays cuz every game uses something similar. It's impossible to actually be original cuz we've already done everything

All of this is just meh. In the end the core of the gameplay is combat and it is looking pretty bleak with the braindead AI. Enjoyable and informative video though

Just so y’all know, as someone who rifle and bow hunts. Rifle hunting is by far cleaner and quicker than bow hunting.

Regardless. A projectile of condensed lead traveling 3000 ft per second is ALWAYS going to be a cleaner and faster kill than an arrow projectile from ANY size bow.
