I am very excited for season 2 and I had always planned on making a diptich to this video with the burning barn version of hayloft 2 so keep an eye out for that after S2 airs haha. this is my first AMV. I always loved them growing up but I didn't realize I could make them until I started doing animatics in high school. At first I only heard the scream that was over caitlyn, and I was struggling because I needed the scream for Jinx but it was too late for what I wanted, but then I heard that there was a fucking second scream and I was so excited because I remembered Caitlyn's scream as well. It ended up perfectly slotting together.
I had never noticed this before, but at 0:55 where it shows Vander's face, his black eye is on the same side as Silco's. Literally "an eye for an eye." The brothers mirror each other in this moment - Vander has become like Silco moments before Silco kills him
this is incredible! i love it when amvs have obvious intention behind their choices. the visuals were obviously chosen to create a particular visual narrative in combination with the song choice, which is a fine art that's an entirely different skill set from just beat matching. seriously, this is now one of my favorite amvs of all time. absolutely emotionally moving and incredible.
There’s so many points of great synchronization with the music but no one’s talking about 0:42 with the hooks swinging and Vander stepping in in time with the beat…. Also the line “singing that old song” coinciding with him going back to his old violent ways that have become legend in the Lanes in this scene, literally an ‘old song.’
2:31-2:46 One thing i like to imagine about that scene: we all know when she saw the girl, she saw vi. She has those memories of vi while still holding onto the girl, while holding onto vi, in her view of the situation. The last time she saw vi, she left her, alone in the chaos. Now that "she is here" again, in the mess she caused. She holds "vi" close so she doesnt leave her alone again. By the time she let go, "vi" immediately runs away to get herself out of danger, and jinx shoots her so she can't run away and leave her alone again. She was powder, she couldn't do anything the last time vi left. Now that she's jinx, older, stronger, she has the power to make sure "vi" didn't leave. Full circle
I actually originally thought that Jinx screaming while firing the gun would be placed there, but there ended up being a scream a little before that in the song that made way more sense both for the narrative in the video and intensity wise and I remembered that clip and yea, it just all slotted into place

Also how you combined the fire from the shark to powder falling after blowing up the factory and how it ties to the next shots of her being a kid. it gives me goosebumps!!! everything is so well tied together omg ALSO the the part where Jinx is shooting fireflies and the eyes of fear and realisation on Vi, so goooood
Jeez so, Even tho i love amvs (always have) and one of my favorite things after watching a show is search for them, I grew bored of the arcane ones pretty quickly. Sure, it’s always cool when the beats match the guns and punches perfectly, but after a while it’s no longer creativity, it’s just technic. But this, omg, so first I was instantly drawn to it because of the song, but then the care you put into it, it not only matches rhythmically, but there’s a story there, like different perspective to arcane and jinx. It’s what first got me to fall in love with amvs, and I’m glad there’s still people who make them this way. TL DR: I LOVED IT
Yea I’ve always had the same sentiment, I hate AMVs that are just kinda, clips slapped together with occasional syncing with beats. The ones that always made me excited were the ones where basically every frame was thought about. There are still a couple of things I wish I did different in this AMV but overall Im very proud of this AMV

I've been watching this over and over and it seems to be primarily from Jinx's perspective and I didn't realize initially why the Vi vs Sevika fights in there bUT I JUST REALIZED THAT'S ONE OF THE ONLY VI FIGHTS JINX WAS ACTUALLY WATCHING,, this whole thing is so clever and I especially love how you make the movements jerky in the beginning and the whole amv is linear in the way it tells the story

THEN she thinks of all the best moments with Vi and the moment she had hope of reconciliation right before flashing forward to her shooting the council down-
I REALLY like this whole AMV, it has such a great scene choice and I really like the accent on the parallel from the bridge at the very start of the video!

ok so at first glance it was good but at second i realized how much thinking You have put into creating this :) You basically not make it in traditional amv style. its not as simple. instead You build Your own narrative of complicated arcane characters. You sacrificed a bit of fluent arcane story to match the song right. alot of work and thinking :)
Yea I fucking love making narratives and creating my own kind of story/ lense of the story in my creative works. It’s also why it takes me so long to make stuff lol. I spent a day editing it together but I spent like, a week thinking about it and just listening to the song.
When I first heard this song, I thought the same Idea about how good it suits Jinx (as everyone here, I suppose :D). Even though you made a good choice of moments for each section of the song, it still feels a bit empty because of complete lack of character's replics and sfx. But great work anyway

@@AllegoricSiren It is always your choice. It was hard for me aswell, because I was doing those tribute-styled clip the first time with the work on my channel. But it always makes a huge impact. For you it could be only some sfx that were played parallel to footage and some minimal replics, that best suits one scene or another. Look for 'Kings' by JaQenka on youtube. That could be edited without source audio (only with music), but the way it is now is just amazing

Sometimes, when you see that it doesn't get even 100 views, You think that they are bad. But there is something with youtube algorithm, because I've seen other Arcane clips on channels like mine that managed to get much more views even after half of the year after netflix release. Question How did you prevent this from getting unlisted? I'm using the same. Song in an amv I'm making and every time I upload it it gets unlisted and I can't change it
If you’re using too long of scenes unedited then you’re gonna get restricted. I made a TON of edits, like, I think there’s only that one 10 second sequence near the end that I didn’t really edit, but I still edited a small part of it. You just got to edit your stuff more probably. Cut it up and put more scenes in
@@sweet_demonic_dreams4614 oh oops, sorry I didn’t get notifications for this. Edit as in splice the scenes more. Maybe adding filters would be effective as well, it works for others. The main thing is if you have a scene play for too long without you making any edits it will get flagged. It could also be the song you’re using. Besides that idk contact UA-cam or look at the video through UA-cam studio to see what is causing the flag

Yea I fucking love making narratives and creating my own kind of story/ lense of the story in my creative works. It’s also why it takes me so long to make stuff lol. I spent a day editing it together but I spent like, a week thinking about it and just listening to the song.

Ever since this song came out I've felt like it was a perfect villain song
When I first heard this song, I thought the same Idea about how good it suits Jinx (as everyone here, I suppose :D). Even though you made a good choice of moments for each section of the song, it still feels a bit empty because of complete lack of character's replics and sfx. But great work anyway
I might look into incorporating more sounds of the show in future AMVs but I’ve always only used music (animatics typically don’t really have audio to splice in so it’s just what I’m used to)
But also, I’m not sure what character replics are, can you elaborate?
@@AllegoricSiren It is always your choice. It was hard for me aswell, because I was doing those tribute-styled clip the first time with the work on my channel. But it always makes a huge impact. For you it could be only some sfx that were played parallel to footage and some minimal replics, that best suits one scene or another.
Look for 'Kings' by JaQenka on youtube. That could be edited without source audio (only with music), but the way it is now is just amazing

@@AllegoricSiren Ah, I see. AMV is just 'anime music video' and FMV is 'film music video'. Also thanks for the appreciation. Sometimes, when you see that it doesn't get even 100 views, You think that they are bad. But there is something with youtube algorithm, because I've seen other Arcane clips on channels like mine that managed to get much more views even after half of the year after netflix release. But I think that when season 2 comes up, I will do another one anyway)

How did you prevent this from getting unlisted?
I'm using the same. Song in an amv I'm making and every time I upload it it gets unlisted and I can't change it
If you’re using too long of scenes unedited then you’re gonna get restricted. I made a TON of edits, like, I think there’s only that one 10 second sequence near the end that I didn’t really edit, but I still edited a small part of it. You just got to edit your stuff more probably. Cut it up and put more scenes in

@@sweet_demonic_dreams4614 oh oops, sorry I didn’t get notifications for this. Edit as in splice the scenes more. Maybe adding filters would be effective as well, it works for others. The main thing is if you have a scene play for too long without you making any edits it will get flagged. It could also be the song you’re using. Besides that idk contact UA-cam or look at the video through UA-cam studio to see what is causing the flag
