Thanks for the explanation, it's very helpful. I had an accident, most of the bones in my face were fractured including the bone in my right eye. As a result I can't see clearly, my vision is blurry, sometimes there are 2 shadows. Like when typing this comment, I keep making typos. After a month I came back to the hospital. The doctor said my optic nerves were pale. There is no further treatment, as you explain in the video. I was given eye drops, eye ointment and vitamin B Complex and asked to return to the hospital next month. For those of you who experience something similar, hopefully our vision can return to normal. Take care of your health and keep praying, hoping for a miracle from God
We are from India my brothers son 5 year old lost his left eye vision on November 12 due to fire cracker injury, doctor suggested that he had ocular trauma on his left eye please help us is there any solution for get back my son's vision he is just 5 years old
Thanks for watching this video, I am sorry to hear this. I would make sure your son is followed closely on a regular basis with an ophthalmologist in your area to make sure his eye is healing properly and that the eye pressure is not elevated. If his eye pressure is elevated, this could cause further damage to his vision. Sometimes vision can recover several days or weeks after an injury, however if the trauma was severe enough, some vision may be permanently lost.
I have TON from a trauma at 17. I never regained the vision I lost, however, the vision I still had has gotten significantly worse over the past year. I’m 28 now. I had flashing lights in my right eye constantly for about 1 yr after my injury, and periodically after that. Unfortunately, the past year the flashing is back 24/7 even when I close my eyes to sleep. It’s terrible. My doctor said it’s just my “cells” misfiring. Is this normal? Can ON get worse over time?
Hey Fred! Thanks for your comment, I'm sorry to hear about your vision issues. Typically, vision loss from TON stays relatively stable over years and possibly decades - unless you develop some other eye condition that affects your vision. This includes high eye pressure/glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or macular degeneration. I recommend having a DILATED eye exam at least once per year, to ensure everything is healthy and stable inside your eyes. Speak with your eye doctor or primary care doctor about the flashing symptoms, usually if they're new it may be a sign of a retinal problem (eg. hole/tear/detachment of the retina). Hope this helps!
Thank you for the information. I just want to ask this, my husband suffer from TON last February on his right eye due to accident. Is it possible that it can affect to his left eye? Like is it possible that it'll pass also to the other eye?? We're so stressed and depressed about it. I hope you'll answer this. Thank you in advance.
Hey Ron, sorry to hear that! There's a chance you may have secondary cataract formation that is causing you to become nearsighted after the injury. If the vision improves with pinhole you likely need an updated glasses Rx or possibly cataract surgery.
@@Rakdee88sir tanong ko lang, nung nagka TON po ba kayo is totally black out po ba ung paningin nyo? Husband ko po kase may TON tapos totally black out talaga mata nya😢 hopefully po bumalik paningin nya, last month lang sya nagkaTON due to motor accident.
