I probably should have gone this route. I ended up getting the harbor freight cheap flux core machine. I have used it to make a custom exhaust manifold for a 120 snowmobile re-power and to tack a valve guide back into a briggs head. So it has been useful. Well, maybe I'll just add one of these someday too haha

trick you can do is cut your rod in half sometimes if your in a tight space or cant strike a good arc.

That’s also a great machine! I really wanted to try out a cheap cheap machine, plus I wanted to do more stick welding! Both are great budget welders!
