    A big advantage of catalytic burners is the performance in windy conditions, they will stay lit without a windscreen.

    Thanks, just what I needed to know. As a stove it's just a backup so not so worried about 4min boiling. But I as a heater for my van I think it would be great. I'm also trying to get all my devices to run off butane cannisters. In Australia you can buy them anywhere and are cheap and they seem to last forever lol

      Glad it was helpful! but I need to let you know, when I was using butane canister, the heat output was the weakest. maybe its because I was using it in a colder day.

    Those are cool little adapters from isobutane to butane & isobutane to propane. I didn’t see them in your store though. Is it something you are comfortable sharing links for or are you trying to avoid the situation of going against manufacturer recommendations? :)

    I have been eyeing this stove heater for it's versatility but was wondering if it could use butane or propane. Thanks for testing it out.

    Cute, little stove. Thank you for posting this. I hadn't seen a Coleman cozy before either, be helpful when condensation is a bit crazy. Is that one made of leather?

    I bought this stove and the adapter for propane. The heater worked only wth isobutane and not with propane. Any tricks to make it work with propane?

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  8 місяців тому

      hmm no tricks. I just plugged the adaptor into the propane and it worked.

      Your adapter may have a screw for extra pressure regulation. Why do you say it didnt work? Didnt light>? Or shot flames?

    • @gregdalton9317
      @gregdalton9317 6 місяців тому

      Definitely didn’t shoot flames. Had a hard time getting it to lite and stay lit with the propane.

    Not too shabby bro! I think as a little portable outdoor heater it would work pretty well. You can just plant it right next to you on those colder camping days and it would great. But lets talk about those fireproof fingers of yours man! I would've ruined the whole video by dropping that lid on the floor after scorching my fingers!! Also, where do you get those awesome propane covers at?!?! Bitchin' 🤙

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  8 місяців тому +1

      yes, I think when Firemaple designed this that was the intent. and my fingers been through a lot. LOL and the leather propane cover is self made using real leather. one of a kind for sure. LOL

    If you are looking for quick while camping or hiking, you are nor a camper or a hiker. We do these things to get rid of the rush of everyday life.

      @@ChasingAdventuresCO Yes the word quick was used in the video. Not hating, just when us real campers/hikers go out we are not worried about "quick".

      @kenniegarner3848 haha no worries. But I was reviewing the stove and I would think people would be interested in knowing how long it will take to boil water. And I am a "REAL" camper but definitely not a hiker lol. You should check out my silent camping videos~

    I bought this Stove and after watching a few videos on YT I came to the conclusion that this unit has one major defect, its legs are not finished properly by the manufacturer and the heater is unstable, it moves on a flat surface.

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  Місяць тому

      It does slide around if it's on a smooth surface. They should have added rubber

    • @waldemarreczydlo3830
      @waldemarreczydlo3830 Місяць тому

      @@ChasingAdventuresCO In addition, the grill also requires improved mounting, which I did of course, but this should be up to the manufacturer and from what I saw, unfortunately, they don't care about it.

    • @ChasingAdventuresCO
      @ChasingAdventuresCO  Місяць тому

      yeah, that was one of my cons about the stove. but don't let this one stove dictate rest of other great products they have.

      @@ChasingAdventuresCO Finishing this topic, I will add that the gas tube is definitely too short, because when using a tripod, the gas cylinder can only hang, which of course I have improved. Best regards
