I was an extra in the 'troops on the trucks' scene. It was shot in Phuket and it was very hot. There was supposed to be a 'roadblock' and we had to sit waiting for the scene! Robin arrives on a Jeep and 'just adlibs before and after the the cameras start rolling! We didn't know when the shot was being taken and when the shot was over--it was just the same ! Brilliant guy! Friendly to all us guys as 'extras'. Sad he has passed! Great guy!

Brilliant actor! A truly funny, funny man. He made us laugh and cry. I so enjoyed his movies. If you know someone who is thinking of taking their own life, talk to them, encourage them to reach out and talk to professionals. They are not alone. Miss you Robin! There will never be another.

A short yet introspective explanation of Robin Williams dramatic acting approach and ability. I have always believed that *He* was deeply complicated, which made his stand-up routines and performances so amazing to watch. I enjoyed the video!

This was a wonderful short biography on Robin Williams for "Good Morning Vietnan". It was beautiful and poignant tribute. I am a huge fan. I wished it was longer biography that illustrated his whole career. The presenter was so accurate in regards to Robin 's character as a comedian, an actor and as an individual. I loved it. 😀

The scene where he is talking to the GI' s in the truck is unique because the extras playing the soldiers were natives and didn't speak English so they didn't understand what he was saying. It was his presentation that made them laugh.

Robin once said "I thought if I stopped being funny no one would like me anymore". One line in the GMV (improv) dialogue he says "why wont you take a rope an hang meeee". Many now find this earily foreshadowing his fate.

There never be another Robin Williams and now the feature film Aladdin at the Cinema and being the genie is Will Smith .When RW did the animated version as the genie he made the character something out of this world he's perfect for the role it actually was made for him , every film he made is made with his genius on display.....like no other and I hope the Almighty greets him as a friend.....his wit and humour is something only people can dream of possessing and he made it look elementary ......

A less famous example of the range of Robin Williams' serious work is Awakenings. Viewed this in 1991 while in Finland on exchange with a good friend made there. Less hilarious, but the patients and nurses help to draw out the doctor's introverted personality so that he can express himself.

He was incredibly good in this movie. A man of bottomless talent. But the World According to Garp was a good movie, even if it was a box office flop, and Dead Poet's Society was another awesome movie from 1989 that he was awesome in. Maybe not as manic as in this movie, but he still displayed a wide range of emotions and left you moved.

QEPD por siempre hermano de la sonrisa.!!!

According to the real Adrain Cronauer (and its on youtube to watch/hear)...The restaurant bombing was true. When he and others who escaped it returned to the radio station to report it. They were stopped by military brass that it did not happen until the military had to acknowledged it (which they didnt). With the exception of him locking the DJ room door and saying it on the air, his arguing the bombing did take place is accurate.

I only wish the people who were so happy to make so much money off of Robin Williams had been able to see the real pain of the man who was just playing his life in order to please them. I only wish he had confidence to believe that WE appreciated his comedic and dramatic talent. We lost, money grabbers won.

I think the one that must have bothered ROBIN was MRS DOUGHTFIRE .Even though it did good at the box office and WILLIAMS got a chance to make us laugh in drag, the whole premise of the movie was more horror than comedy.I know many may gasp at that statement but consider the story in reality.A man who dearly loved his children is thrown out and divorced by his wife.He returns disguised as a female housekeeper and you know the rest. What children and wife would fail to know their own father and ex husband no matter how good the disguise ?! And what father in disguise would not be hurt when his own loving children fail to recognize him with close interaction as in the movie ?! With half of familys in North America being divorced many should understand my point.Of course this was a devised plot to give ROBIN the chance to showcase his skills,as he did well, but the undertones of the film that it seems many never gave much thought to were upsetting.
