    Wow. Thanks for all the info on how hopeless this situation is. Came to find out how to eliminate roaches in the dishwasher.. found out that’s Basically impossible..plus your entire kitchen is a roach’s playground, you can’t get to all the cracks & crevices so just burn it down. I hate living in Florida 😱😭

    One useful concept here is that the appliances form the habitat. I'm going to pull my dishwasher and isolate it with calk and plastic in a way that roaches cannot reach it. Plus I'll use boric acid and bait. I have steel wool and expandable foam to fill gaps as needed. Then I'll work on other appliances in the same way. By the way, I run my dishwasher once or even twice a day on the quick setting so I do not have food in there overnight. And no bugs inside. My guess is that some people have a restaurant open 24/7 in their dishwater and that the roaches are getting past the gasket.

    I have found that you will never eliminate an infestation in one hit. As you know, the orthacae is almost bullet proof. Regardless of what you throw at the egg sac, it will survive. Obviously a sz12 shoe has an impact but you know what i mean :).
    I get great success with my first visit consisting of flushing gaps/cracks & hot spots w a pyrethrum based aerosol. This will agitate them so they run around and die/pick them up with a sticky board etc. Then apply dust in voids, holes in walls, behind h/w cylinders, ceiling voids etc.
    Next visit two weeks later should consist of chasing nymphs only if your first treatment was effective. I flush again to achieve a kill rate & show where the harborage is, then treat with dust or spray depending on location. I have found that a good blast of flush puts up a good mist of product which gets around corners within walls etc and really penetrates the harbor sites.
    If the infestation is heavy i will conduct a 3rd visit but 2 should be suffice if your thorough.
    How does that sound with your experience?

    Nice video. I watched and called a pro. German roaches virtually gone. He said he used gel plus a fogger to drive out the roaches...but the fogger left a film inside DW. I wiped it all out but it seemed to redistribute again. It isn't the water, I have County water. Looks heavy by the vent.

    What about when I see roaches actually inside the chamber of the dishwasher? How are they surviving inside with hot water and heat drying? Do i need to get rid of the dishwasher and get a new one? This is the only place we see roaches ever in our entire house.

      I had the same issue! I took apart my dishwasher door and inside the circuit board i found the QUEEN! I killed them immediately but today (about 3months after) i saw 2 more roaches and I figured might as well check. I found a even bigger queen than the last time!
      Ive rechaulked under the counters and bought every roach killer there is and somehow they keep finding a way back into that circuit board. If it happens again im just gonna cut my losses and get a new dishwasher! Good luck tho!

    Our roaches are INSIDE the panel of the door. I see them scurrying into the lock opening. How do I get them out of that section? The seal is tight all around the dishwasher (it’s portable) so they can’t get inside the washer itself. It’s the door panel. Help!

      It's all about that insulation material covering the dishwasher, and also inside the front door panel. It's perfect breeding ground, then they sneak into the dishwasher for food scraps. There were like a hundred cockroaches in the door insulation of mine, and now I have to remove the whole unit to get at the rest. Gross.

    • @johncoffey88
      @johncoffey88 8 місяців тому

      I just removed the front panel on mine, saw a roach bigger than any I had seen out in the open, she scurried to what turned out to be the nest. Inside the motherboard case, couple of dozen in there with lots of breeding going on

    well. taught me nothing. I'm a single female, I can't pull out a dishwasher! I guess I'm back to my old source....wash the dishwasher on a short wash, then load it.
    I could also bait it when there's nothing in it

My dad wont do much about them, so I'm always Googling and going on UA-cam to find out a way to get rid of it. My dad always moans about the Cockroaches but Barley does something about it. Does someone know the best way to get rid of the Cockroaches in the kitchen?

      Looking at the comments for this video it appears someone isn't very attentive and I'm pretty sure it's not me. Several times in this video there are things shown that you could do but each is followed by why it won't work. The only option that you gave at the last was to call a pro because as a homeowner you are simply to stupid to do this yourself. It comes off as arrogant. By the way, quite frankly you should hire a professional to do your youtube videos. :) Common users really aren't capable of creating them properly.
