I have a potentially dumb question - why is it "in Sagittarius" when we're currently in Taurus season (or I suppose Gemini when the full moon actually happens)?
I don't have a great answer (we're going to need an astrology enthusiast to help us both lol), but what I do know is that the moon can enter signs that are different than the season. Maybe the month's signs are related to the sun? Idk the specifics, so definitely not a dumb question at all
That the moon (or any other planet) is in a zodiac sign means that it is situated in front of the star sign as seen from the earth. So the full moons are always in the opposite sign from the sign the sun is currently in. So on the 23rd the sun will be in Gemini and the moon in Sagittarius. The new moons are always in the same sign as the sun. Why? Because when it’s a full moon the moon is on the opposite side of the earth as the sun (so it can reflect the sunlight) and when it’s a new moon it’s on the same side.
