In this video, we wanted to see just how strong of weed gummies we could make. We also wanted to show you one of the many things you can do with your leftover pucks. Save them up so you can make infused mct oil and the possibilities are endless!

Are you decarbing the pucks before they go in oil or is it decarbed at 240 in the oil?
It is being decarbed in the oil at 240 degrees. Always save your pucks!
I’m allergic to coconut oil, what do y’all prefer to use a substitute to the MCT oil?
You could use avocado oil.
Olive oil or grass fed unsalted butter
great video guys, for all you "vegan" folk, just put the mct/puck mixture straight into capsules and swallow. same as a gummie no sweetners.

Swap the Jell-O and Gelatin for fruit pectin and these are vegan.

Could you be more specific on the puck temperature. Low is a relative description.

I have no idea what is beining done here. Puck? We did some things way back in the day but never dreamed this. I stopped because of children and random testing but a year and a half ago after 25 hiatus I found out weed has changed from " down to stems and seeds blues to weed that has names. Lol.
It took a little time to " adjust"
and I thought about going on wagon permenatly because I had a strange dsire to crawl under the bed , hide. I chose to try again because at 65 if got under , Id never get out. By taking one tiny hit then over time another I gradually began like and enjoy again. A third hit has not been needed.
As I see whats being "cooked " I cannot imagine the effect and my question is how high do ya wanna be?
Id appreciate knowind what this started as , what it is known as finished and effect.

You said something that it's fully decarbed at a minute and 24 seconds period is it already decarbed when you send it through the Press?
Not when you are initially pressing. It is decarbed once you put the rosin, in the decarb capsule. It is the act of heating your extract just enough to activate the cannabinoids and unlock the psychoactive effects of cannabis

Does anyone know how much thc oil can hold. What is the saturation point where you are just wasting pucks. Nobody has paid foe that test yet that I can find. Enjoy everyone, great recipe.
Honestly I've seen a QP to a pound go into an extraction but yes I want to know that same question
I think the saturation point would vary depending on the oil being used but it’s all anecdotal and theories. MCT holds the most from what I heard but the exact amount is unknown to me.
More fat and you can do a few ounces in around 13 cups of oil so coconut and avocado with nuts inside can make some fiee
This recipe didn't work for me. The gummies never solidify and stay in a mush half liquid state. Even when I put them in the freezer... followed the instructions exactly so not sure what went wrong.
Eating the messy mushy result does get the desired effect though.... are potent.
Update** 10,000x easier to buy a bag of haribo gummybears, melt them down in microwave and just mix in the oil from the first beaker.

they threw away 2/3 of the jello mix, added weed oil to the remaining 1/3. so 3x as strong per gummy
your last puck is pulling 40 times more concentrated oil from your batch when you pull it than the first did.
How would you avoid that
It doesn't matter. You are straining the bags. It's part of the process.

I did this a while ago I put 200 used pucks try 200 nug smasher I even put it on you tube man I knocked every one out with my candy lol

Just a couple questions id like answered please. When i put in 100ml of the MCT oil in and did my 36 pucks i had 70/75ml of liquid left when you had about 30ml. Also i tried to use jelly crystals but when i put 3oz of that in it went solid. So i take it these gello crystals is an American thing as i cant find them anywhere here in the uk. If you have a link for them could you stick it up.

There are many ways to go about making gummies and using your pucks. if that's the way you would prefer than that is ok!
Id ligthy repress all the pucks to run into a jar and then cook and refilter

Can you do the MCT process with straight rosin?
This may be a stupid question but could you just use unpressed buds in the micro filter instead of the chips? Any differences in potency or outcome?
Not stupid at all! You would not want to just soak raw flower in the oil to make edibles. You have not decarbed or extracted any rosin and therefore you would not feel any affects and would waste product!

@@brandonbaker8584 Exactly I was under the impresssion the pucks become decarbed after we press them... I believe it's because it's not completely decarbed only some of it is.
What if I just soak buds in the mct oil and press/ squeeze it out so I get every bit

@@canadianeastcoastdabbingcr2168 We usually use around 204F but will depends on the strain as well. we usually recommend starting at 204f for 120 seconds, and adjust from there.
I used double boiler for abt 2-3 hrs with abt two pounds worth of pucks pressed at 207.

MCT oil is a dietary supplement that is distilled from coconut oil.
How long can you store pucks for?
We have stored them in freezer for up to a year with success. I’m guessing you could even store beyond in right containers

We did not use citric acid in this video. However some forums advise you may use citric acid for a more sour flavor.

How many gram of gelatine did you use? And is it replaceable with agar agar?
it looks like most of the mct is is getting absorbed by the flower in the pucks. don't you want to avoid that?

about how much was the total mg of thc in the oil from the 40 pucks?
with pucks it is very hard to know how much THC is left over, unless you test the oil after.
What is the machine?
Hi, the machine that we used in this video to heat the pucks will be a magnetic heater/ stirrer you can find them at various prices on amazon.
I followed your recipe but the gummies did not harden. Any thing I should focus on?
it can sometimes take up to 48 hours to harden, 24 hours on each side in the fridge

Hi Jason, we mix it together without heat.
Why not coconut oil
Hi Nathan, coconut oil would work as well any medium with a high fat, glucose and glycerin content for bonding with the THC. We like to use MCT because it has a much longer shelf life than coconut oil does.
Will this method work with butter also?
yes you can make butter with the pucks as well
Update, infused 1 oz worth of pucks into 1 stick of butter using this same method. Works great!

@@brandonbaker8584 He discarded ⅔ of the gelatin base so the extracted oil would be less diluted when he mixed them together. A greater concentration of the good stuff.
If he wanted to make the candies weaker, he could use more of the gelatin base on the next batch.

Really dont think this was the best way you could have done it. you probably lost just as much as "extracted"... I WOULD HAVE soaked it in 99% iso over nite than put in a cheese cloth and a vice nd squished till it was NO MORE coming out... and you would have done Way better... evaporate and than mix with your oil... Than heat it for decarb.. IN MY OPINION, of course... 🤔
Can u use guar gum instead of lecithin?
You can use whatever you prefer, but using an emulsifier such as lecithin will help the absorption of THC when ingesting those edibles!

No worries, we're here!! That is something to help with stirring it, I'm sorry I don't recall the name. Room temp water, Agave then 3oz of Jello & 1 pack of gelatin, is what we put in after the water! Thanks for watching!

That's called a Mag Bar or Stir Bar. It's used with stir plates in labs

It is a bonding agent to help your body absorb the THC.
It's an emulsifier.
Can I assume the hot plate/magnetic mixer is on the lowest heat setting? It doesn’t look like it’s on at all but I know you need some heat to get that stuff to dissolve and mix together.
You would want to start low!
I love this recipe but numerous times I have had to drain the molds, and re-mix the liquid under heat and refill to get them to set. I know recipe on Jello box asks for boiling water, any suggestions? The ingredients rock the high - thanks NS

Now the question is can you smoke the pucks after you press them my son says no he says that the fibers from the micron bags get stuck in the plant matter and you end up smoking micron!!! Can't be healthy to smoke it so I will be trying this method thanks guys!!!
Hey there! You cannot smoke the actually pucks but we do have a process where they can soak in MCT oil or cocount oil and you can use that as a tincture or whatever your heart desires 😉 Check out this video
