He was just a baby then....my gosh such amazing talent. Saw someone said he was 19 then; he's 34 now. Unbelievable. I think the only reason some gave a dislike was because they couldn't understand what he was saying. He has what used to be called, a"thick" accent. I am 69 yrs and am floored listening to him. Just knocked out. He's the best artist ever. Master musician; God given talent.

Ben Howard lived in the same place as I currently do when he was younger, and he moved to where my best friend moved to (Devon).
When I first hear Ben's music, 2 or 3 years ago, I thought he was a modern day reincarnation of John Martyn. I think I even posted a comment to that effect on Ben's site. This is my favourite JM song, especially in the version given on a Grey Whistle Test appearance fairly near the end. This is an amazing cover, even if I still prefer the raw emotionality of the original. Shame about the chattering audience (strictly speaking, not an audience if they ain't listening!). Thanks for posting this amazing performance, and thanks Ben for daring...
I do think that learning at least one percussive guitar piece of performing is great. If the crowd gets a bit restless, bash it out and reel them back in. Job done.
I am so glad @dnm5555 posted this. Couldn't Love You More is one of my favourite songs and helped me through a dark time in my life with the loss of my Granddad. I genuinely just cried listening to this version for the first time, and I'm not scared to admit that to anyone as a 17 year old lad. I just wish Ben Howard could know this.
