I had a 2.0 GL in Blue....this car is as new!!! The door handle suggests its hardly been opened.. .the reassuring clunk and the weight of the door is awesome...swap uou for my 2.2 Accord which has more science....but none of thr soul.....way to cheap and lifeless next to this beauty,I now believe on love at first sight!!
My experience of the MK4 & 5 Cortina's was mainly driving company Cortina Estates. Though in 1983 I drove a Cortina Crusader hire car which was nice as a run out model - I liked the wood effect dashboard & door cappings. Happy days.
Stunning car, I had a Cortina 2.0 GL automatic SWU 956W only had 55'000 miles on the clock when I sold it in 1995 it was in mint condition, this bought back many happy memories of that car.
My Dad bought the 2.0GL brand new in 1982 in the oil blue non-metallic colour : I still remember that lazy clock's second hand needle, making it look as if the car's battery was almost flat..
wow. vfr 107y Mk5 Ford Cortina Crusader dark blue with deep dish usa chrome wheels, my first car back in the early 90s. man i loved that car went all over the uk with no problems, apart from the boot floor and passenger floor rust. happy days.
Proper cars. Built to last. I will always remember the day I watched the mileage on my 1992 Sierra 1.8 LX rolling over from 99999 to 00000 back in June 1996. I gave it a very comprehensive valet to celebrate. And that Sierra was still pretty much like a new car, much like this awesome Crusader.
It's still got the original interference on the radio lol these old cortina's couldn't the abuse we gave them, void bushes only lasted about a week, then it look like an old alsation dog from behind with knackered back legs when you pulled away.
Love what you do with the cars guys but please when they have cloth seats clean them they all look grubby every car you do with cloth seats their never clean
@@KGFClassicCarsWill these older cars take a wet vac? Most cloth upholstery materials can be prone to stretching and can come unstuck from the foam backing from prolonged contact with water, chemicals and overly-powerful vacuuming from my valeting experience.
Almost...apart from no rev counter, sun-roof, alloy wheels, gas-filled shock absorbers, bumper over-riders, headlamp-washer jets, rear courtesy light and different upholstery. But otherwise identical, trust me, I was lucky enough to own one 30 years ago.
''Nice car''! I ❤️ Ford Cortinas and Granadas! Best looking Ford cars ever!

I want that Blue Ford Cortina Mk5 Crusader 4 Speed Manual Car My Favourite Cars of all Time
You love your cars!
Could be 107004 miles. Back then Ford's odometers only went to 99,999 then went back to zero. That's how much faith Ford had in their cars.
+V T The mileage is warranted at 7,004 miles
