That Cohen went to jail for campaign violations? LOL. Cohen went to jail for not reporting $4M in income by the feds. The Obama campaign & Hillary campaign were federally charged for campaign violations too. Neither went to jail. They both paid fines of $375K & $113K. I say Federal, as Bragg, is not Federal, not his jurisdiction. Paying personal hush money is not a crime, on why the feds never went after Trump.

"... with intent to defraud and intent to commit another crime and aid and conceal the commission thereof, made and caused a false entry in the business records of an enterprise.. "
So false business record entries in furtherance of another crime. Yet the indictment never states what the other crime is at all.

That's because they have no explanation for the calculation of the monetary repayment of Cohen. They're trying to distract the jury but it's not going to work once the prosecution does the summation.

Obama, Hillary, AOC campaigns all committed campaign violations, none of them or their cohorts were thrown in jail. Cohen made $4M in income from other clients (While being an an exclusive lawyer to Trump) in 2017, that income was never reported, he went to jail for committing fraud. What did Lanny clarify? What's the charge against Trump? This is going on one month & there is no charge. Paying hush money is not against the law. If campaign $ was used, it's a federal case, the feds never went after Trump. All you know is that Cohen is a liar & now we learn he is also a thief that steals from his boss too. Changing invoices & making Trump sign checks that was not in the amount that was owed to a company for an outstanding invoice. We also won't get into what lawyers get disbarred for, breaking the attorney/client privilege, by recording your client without him knowing about it.

If your lawyer used his own money for a legal matter that pertained to the client, and if the client reimbursed the lawyer... wouldn't that be legal fees?

Legal fees are never grossed up to account for income taxes. When have you ever heard of that happening? If a lawyer bills for legal services it's based on hours of work performed or whatever. Then they pay their taxes based on their annual revenue, or if it's a firm, the firm deducts the income taxes and submits to the gov't.
