60 Minutes, the most successful American television broadcast in history, began its 52nd season in September. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 is still a hit in 2020. 60 Minutes makes Nielsen’s weekly Top 10 nearly every week and was the #1 weekly television broadcast three times last season.

60 Minutes has won every major broadcast award. Its 25 Peabody and 150 Emmy awards are the most won by any single news program. It has also won 20 duPont-Columbia University journalism awards. Other distinguished journalism honors won multiple times include the George Polk, RTDNA Edward R. Murrow, Investigative Reporters and Editors, RFK Journalism, Sigma Delta Chi and Gerald Loeb awards.

Nobody gives an explanation like Ms. Viola Davis. When she's done, you've just been educated! I can listen to her talk all day. She would have made a great teacher if acting wasn't her calling.
This is with anything in life:
"You have to be courageous enough to leave your vanity at the door."
~ Viola Davis
I could listen to her talk all day. Such wisdom and insight.
Me too
I agree as well.
same!
The exact same words left my lips. Her authenticity and power smacks you in the face and sweeps past all the pretense. Love her!
Yes!! Wisdom.. Exactly
She gives a Master Class everytime she acts.
Hmmmm. Her voice. Her wisdom. Her powerfulness.
So intrigued by her.
I'm not an Actor but that seems like a bit of a master class.
WOW...I love how Viola broke down the difference between a entertainer, artist and actor. I've never thought it about it that way...but I understand what she means.
My heart broke when Chadwick Boseman died! 😥
Viola Davis gave a Master Class in Artistry in less than 5 minutes that takes other educators a lifetime to teach
God damn Viola just broke down the art of ACTING right then and there! Listen to the word from one of the GOATS
It’s very inspiring
Reminds me of my Howard professor who taught us, "There are many craftsmen. But very few artists." Chad will always inspire generations to come. He served his purpose well.
He needs to get an Oscar nomination. He pushed himself to great depths. He had more to say.
I am so glad she spent time with Chadwick Boseman before he passed. She explained it so well.
They need to have a masterclass in acting, and let her just talk about this ONE subject. This, alone, could teach so many. She's so damned brilliant.
i like the way she described chad as an artist as apposed to being an entertainer, which a lot of actors are these days, chads movies are proof of that.
What an eloquent way of putting forward a profound idea.. Love you viola..
Viola Davis is filled with wisdom and discernment. Love Her.
R. I. P. Chadwick 🙏🏻 I love Viola! She's the whole package! Brains & beauty! I could listen to her forever. So much wisdom, talent! 🥰💛
Two extraordinary people, Chadwick, God Rest his soul, and Viola, in a lane of her own. Exceptional.
Viola Davis is my favorite favorite actress. Chadwick boseman is one for the books. Sleep with the angels my brother.
I will never forget sitting on my couch finding out that Chadwick had passed away. I am taking a break from social media so initially when it happened I didn’t know. I turned on UA-cam about to play a video and some lady was on live and the title said “Chadwick Boseman Dead” I remember cursing and saying to my boyfriend “People are always killing celebrities off ugh I can’t believe she said that!” My boyfriend said let me check CNN just to be sure, he got really quiet... showed me the phone and I remember just weeping. Weeping, sobbing, screaming, yelling. Chadwick was a part of “the family” before Black Panther my first movie seeing him in action was 42, I said “wow this guy is going places” Chadwick you’re missed. You and Kobe Bryant’s death have rocked me to my core 💔💔💔
Get on up. When he passed my phone had died before I went to bed so I found out the next morning. God gave me that grace cause i wouldn't have been able to sleep. I cried all day long
Agreed! My heart broke broke. Chadwick was one of my favorite actor. R.I.H
This was THE Greatest explanation of art vs entertainment Ive ever seen... This applies to much more than acting but the entertainment industry as a whole. This also helped me understand how ive been holding back in my own art... Thankyou Viola
I was literally having this discussion about the differences of being an actor, artist, and entertainer with my cousin and here I come across this video. The universe does wonders! 🙌⚡️❤️🌎🕉🌀🔮🧿🌌
I can sit and listen to Viola talk about the craft of acting for hours. She is a national treasure. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Viola Davis is definitely a great actor as well I'm sure the whole cast is great haven't seen the movie yet but I will salute guys
Superior acting... Chadwick Awesome in all u Done🙌🤗👌
She is deep, carries it with beauty and intelligence. Thank You Miss Viola for not being ignorant😘
Good Lord what a woman
And Artist.
The way she speaks about the craft is just so inspiring
Literally what I tell my Theatre students! I love this woman! Viola, gives me energy and air to fuel my dreams to soar!
Chadwick was a Servant I think that’s what I heard while she was speaking
Rip chadwick🖤
I think he enjoyed playing this role more than Black Panther
Because black panther was Physically taxing role
Black queen 👑 ❤️
RIP Chadwick Miss u
Wooah! She is very articulate! She is "One of the best!"
Mind blown 🤯 viola is one of a kind
A master class from a master in 3:41...need I say more.
Rest in peace and power Chadwick
Damn. I didn’t even learn this in my advanced acting class junior year lol 👀
I listened to her explanation twice-because I knew she said more than what I could digest the first time.
I play this video over and over again.
Every single word that get spilled out from Viola Davis' mouth is pure gold. She's the Queen of Empowering speeches and I ain't complaining about it. She SLAYS at everything and keep it coming my Queen!!
Brilliant Actor gone but never Forgotten Chadwick RIP
My man Chadwick was everybody's cousin for real just family period
Viola and Chadwick are absolute treasures. Amazing work shown
may ALLAH BLESS CHADWIK AND U..
I am always so enlightened by her.Love me some Viola Davis!!🥰
This woman is MAGNIFICENT!! BRILLIANT. One of the best 60 minutes I have seen to date. The interviewer seems really really interested and thrilled to listen to this incredibly articulate, artist.

Ahhhh .............the Virtuous Viola Davis! Only SHE can explain a title in the most vivid way so u don't lose sight of who u can become!! LOVE IT!!!🤗😍🙋🏾♀️
The whole cast in the movie, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom were great.
Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman were absolutely brilliant! Chadwick was not just the King of Wakanda. He was a King in real life. Gone too soon. 😥
Taking about her craft with so much passion is extremely attractive to me.
This woman is just something else..x
I Love both of you! Chadwick and Viola were magnificant together! I miss Chadwick he was such an artist!!
Smart lady
O!M!G! She is Phenomenal, I could listen to her for Hours, she is as Phenomenal as she is a Beautiful Soul ❤️, I'm dying to see Ma Rainey, I have listened to Ma since I was 8 years old, not found much info on her, but I got a couple of old albums of hers, she is an Incredible Human Being, and to have the Incredible Viola Davis play her is Extraordinary, my God, I've Loved everything I've seen her in, she is just Phenomenal, jus sàyin ¡😎¡
She is simply AMAZING!!
I luv this lady & respect her so much! Fly High Mr. Boseman!
You can tell that she takes the art of acting very serious because she was breaking down the art form to a tee for everyone to understand and we will forever miss Chadwick Boseman. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017.
Chadwick played awesome in this movie 🎥 as well as Viola Davis this movie was so awesome rip Chadwick boseman ✊🏿🙏🏿
I love Viola! She is so magnificent. 😊
So eloquent. I never thought of the two that way
RIP
She's telling the truth. You have to put in the work. Viola has SOUND ground school testimony from the surely missed days of the Julliard, Micheal Shurtleff, Uta Hagen, Stanford Meisner scene study class with your gym shoes, your jeans, a sweat shirt, present and ready to fight in your cold reading. She's right about entertainers / movie stars. But an artist? They disappear. Saturate. Thats what an artist does. People can live their whole lives and miss the soul of what they do. And do not forget that craftsman sitting there who never got his vehicle but continues to show up...Glynn Turman.
I love hearing her speak ❤️❤️
TRUTH!!!👌🏾❤️
Breath taking
In the movie when he picked up Dussie Mae in the air and said GOOD GOD.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE LADY WITH THE CAKES.. I LAUGHED SO HARD I COULDNT BREATHE.
He was awesome in this.
I could listen to hear all day ...
He will win an academy award
This interview was so powerful. I love Viola!
Godiva don't have nothing on this beautifully, brilliant chocolate which is Ms. Viola Davis..
Well Said 💗
That’s deep- she dropped facts & knowledge
I'm not gonna lie, if anyone were to replace Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, I feel John David Washington would be the best fit. Also, if the writers decide to go the route of having Suri be the next Black Panther, J.D.W. could hand over the role/title of Black Panther to her so he can focus on being King.
My friend, have you not seen Tenet?
No one is going to replace him💀
No one is going to replace him. It won’t even feel right.
He's irreplaceable unfortunately. I can't see anyone being T'Chella and being as good as he was. He deserved an oscar nomination for that performance. Maybe he might get one Oscar 2022.God!!! Time flies.
I wager that the studio tries to shove a white man in that role. :(
This so powerful, I love this sister!
Viola You Know how to talk in describing all those characters in the Movies
Thank you So much
And You Spoke So well
Thanks.
I can see her as my principal and acting coach and Aunty she’s the 💣
Very well spoken Ms Viola!
Amen
Viola is amazing 😍😍😍 The new Anna Magnani, she is so charismatic
Beautiful description of artist vs. entertainer.
Chadwick really gave his everything with this performance. This should gain him a well deserved Oscar Nomination! If he gets snubbed I would be pretty shocked. His performance is easily one of the best of this year! And same goes for Viola!
Love both artis
Beautiful.
He was small even then.... wow he pushed it 💪🏾
Damn I was locked into that description of an artist. When she said we don't have time to explain....im think yes I do ;)
Ooof! Moments like this I keep on fighting to become a actress!
I love this Lady ❤️
Chadwick for the Oscar win
Master Artist. What a pleasure.
This interviewer is just a vessel for Ms. Davis’s profound speech. Can’t wait to see her in First Ladies as Michelle Obama! And I hope she narrates a future book to win a Grammy (and EGOT!)...
Viola Davis is a living legend! We are all very lucky to be able to witness her wisdom and knowledge unfold.
