I'm sure drumming for Neil Diamond was like a day off for Ronnie. Couldn't have been anywhere near as challenging as working for Elvis. On top of that, he had to watch Elvis constantly. That was another job in itself.
Not only in my opinion maybe the greatest drummer of all time (makes sense since Elvis would only have the best anyways!), but one of the most technically sound drummers I've ever heard. This man can play so many different types of music. HARD WORKIN' RONNIE TUTT BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
goodness! Tutt blew me away! True musician. thing is...you have to be good to be right on it with elvis unpredictable movements! And he never missed a lick!
Not surprising ,Ronnie is a Force to be reckon with.I've watched alot of Elvis video..most being bootleg and Ronnie has to keep up with Elvis's nuances and movement on stage the whole show..I learned alot from Tutt's smooth style .hell just listen to the speed of CC Rider or the organized chaos of Polk Salad Annie..amazing...I love my Bonhams,Paices,Pearts and Lombardos but Tutt has to be included.ALWAYS
@danocable I can't think of anyone.Totally incredible. When he was playing with Neil Diamond at Glastonbury,I was hoping he would break out into one of these solos and really show all the young drummers how it's done.
Ronnie's drumming sloppy? You need to get your ears checked man.Ronnie was ALWAYS spot-on.If he was sloppy he wouldnt have lasted very long playing for a guy as big as Presley.
Larry London was a better drummer for Elvis. A lot of Ronnie's drumming was sloppy. Elvis was always better then the players around him in the latter years, with the exception of his bass player.
this is without a doubt the best solo I've ever heard Ronnie do. Incredible
the quality of sound that is ,he's done lot's of solo's and ,if even possible, better ones in my opinion
