Yeah I agree but this is the friendliest and most laid back of all the horses. Just watch him he seems to thrive on the pat, stroke and scratch of his forehead and nose. in all my years spent with horses is that each one has it's own personality.

So people if you are enraged by this as I am what I did was google searched then emailed the Household Cavalry, MOD, London District and British Forces News voicing my concerns of what is still happening at horse guards . The guards and horses need protection. either have guards standing on either side of the horse or police at all times. This is not an amusement park/petting zoo for entitled and disrespectful tourists. They should be banned and fined. that would take the stupid grins off their faces. Never approach a working horse behind its neck and eyes if you want a positive experience with a mounted soldier 90% of the time the stead will reject your presence or be threatened by your disrespect of his authority. This particular horse is very docile.
I think most of the tourists left their brains and manners at home. I've never seen so many selfish inconsiderate people. They step in front of people who are poised to get a picture and don't even excuse themselves. They don't even thank the guards for allowing them to touch the horse and take pictures.

Lots of people giving the guard a hard time over allowing the tourists to pet the horse, I'm very sorry but for those who maybe visually impaired there's a big sign with do not touch the horse written on it, and directly below another sign with a hand over a horse and a big red line through it. How many. More visual clues do you need. And by the way I understand the temptation to 1pet the horse, but this is a military establishment and not a petting zoo, and there is such a thing as self control. If there was a sign saying £500 for interference of the kings horse's not many would touch then. The police could also be enforcing it, but then they also have a job to do.

As a now elderly lady I have only known one person say she went to watch the changing of the guards. She didn't mention going close to the horses nor having a photograph taken there. It's all since camera phones. Poor horses must be so confused and at times intimidated as well as frightened with odd idiots standing next to, prodding and pulling them. They are no doubt used to it - used to being frightened by fools. They need to be in the countryside with good people for the rest of their natural lives. No need for horses in built up areas these days. It's cruel.

This guard needs a firm talking to by his superiors. In this instance, the guard is more in the wrong than the tourists. When you don't say crap about anybody touching the horse, the tourist assume that it is okay to touch the horse, regardless of the sign. I would never touch the horse; but I can easily see why so many people feel that it is okay to touch. These guards need to be saying NO to every single little pat or scratch that is given. And to this channels owner.....enough with the melodramatic title. The guy takes a selfie and the horse is nudging him & this young guy finds it amusing. Thats what he was chuckling about. And placing his palm on the middle of the face does not equate to being classified as a strike.

Omg ppl relax, everyone in this video was quite gentle with this beautiful & loving horse. Affection was reached out and given on both sides, horse & humans. Guard was being observant & kind! Life is too short to be judge-mental & petty. I understand when ppl have been obviously annoying & disrespectful, I see the sign! If there is kindness & horse is also initiating the affection & touch - Relax! Some have never been this close to a horse, much less pet or caress. Many of you complaining, would probably be one of the people also petting or getting in a little touch of this magnificent horse God has created! 🥰❤️🙏.
