I was astounded when you mentioned Ladyfield Farm because I had only just found their channel late last night and binge watched. Rebecca I love the intro with the kittens trying to catch snowflakes. Seeing them ON the pond on the ice reminded me so much of Bambi and Thumper on the ice. We used to have a cat who loved playing out in the snow, first time she had encountered it. Jumping into snowballs etc. That evening my husband ran a bubble bath and left the door ajar accidentally. Penny went investigating and was thoroughly delighted that we had been considerate to bring some of her new playstuff indoors, took a flying jump into her new snowdrift. Streak of cat running out the room with water and bubbles trailing her.
So glad you subbed to Ladyfield. Adrians wirk is brilliant. The cats are great fun to watch. I was never a cat person but I love them to bits now. Poor Penny landing in the bath! 🤣😉

My grandfather on my father’s side was born in Ireland, but immigrated with his family to England. My father was born in Canada when his family immigrated to Canada. My Dad, never saw Ireland, I’ve never seen Ireland, but watching your video’s has let me know I have Irish in my blood. I’ve always loved the type of house you’re renovating, so I am enjoying everything you’re doing to repurpose this house to make it your family home.
You need to go to Ireland. It is beautiful. I lived in England in the late 70’s and my youngest was born in Manchester. Found out later that my grandfather was from Manchester too, and the rest of the family was from Dublin. Glad I had a chance to be in these beautiful countries! Your videos bring it all back, thank you!!
17:31 music reminiscent of Neil Young, 'Harvest Moon' . Beautiful compilation. Loving this recording guys. You are inspirational. Loving life alongside you and your beautiful family.
Very, very interesting. The filming was very good showing that you are creating a waterproof wooden box inside an old stone box. I watch quite a few videos and I haven't seen this technique anywhere else. You will have a really cosy home.
Well now, that was very kind of you to give us a mention. I'll hold you to that cup of tea and maybe we could squeeze in a dram too. Keep on keeping on,

Woop woop who is near 100k now ? You soon be getting your you tube badge, Well deserved folks ! It is moving along really nicely. I love the snow covered landscape. We have not had anything like that in Normandy, but a lot of rain......Well done !
Love the building site supervisors. Last week the cockerel, this week the black kitty. I can fully sympathize with the cold weather challenges. Takes me back to our reno when - 5 degree temps stopped us painting and I ended up sitting with a hairdryer and electric blow heater trying unfreeze the exposed water pipes so that we could make mortar for other parts of the build. Renovations are not for the faint hearted!
It's awful! I'll never forget my hands hurting from cold, trying to peel those strips of air tight tape! All will eventually be good memories like yours.♥️
@@theirishhomestead and the harder it was to get there, the more you end up appreciating what you have created. This is going to be great. I noticed it last video you were almost at 100.000 🙂, would be great, you deserve it. And perhaps it will help to be able to put in the sky windows instead of having to do that at a later time. Would let in so much more light in the living quarters. Have a great weekend !
Living where we have four seasons, I understand being able to doing things when the weather allows. Things always slow down in the cold/snow. Y'all are moving right along 😄
Good morning ...things are going swimmingly..you'll be on to finishing work shortly and I'm sure it'll be a boost for your efforts...yes the walls will soon be on your lists and all you have dreamed of will be within sight... The surrounding lands and fields are beautiful..so much nicer than any cityscape with folks piled up on each other..I certainly envy you even though I don't live in a big city but it is still a far cry from the farm where I began..you are blessed... Stay warm..stay safe..God bless you...
Brilliant video, very intricate work getting your barrier fitted. I did wonder when the reflective tap on Sam's jacket was going to be fixed. Most enjoyable video, you both work well together. Keep the great videos coming.
The intro was gold. The reality check of having to deal with adapting a fix to the moisture barrier… chalk it up to the joys of renovating… at times it seems to be one step forward and two steps back. I love that you never let the little things dim your enthusiasm. When you’ve finished with your home, your big library of videos will surely help other folks avoid making some of the same mistakes. I’m glad your cold snap is easing! I laughed at the bit when Becky showed scissors and the bit of tape as proof of Sam’s jacket repair for your OCD worrying viewers. Yes, I’m guilty of worrying. 🙌🏼😆❤
Thank you thats lovely to hear. I enjoy filming the intros the most. I admit this last week has felt slow with not much visual progress but still important elements were completed despite the sub zero temps. 💪♥️
Way to go Sam and Becky! I hope you reach 100000. Thanks for bringing us along with your journey. I absolutely love your videos. You are part of my Saturday morning routine!
We are all on the journey with you..things are really moving..I love renovation builds but yours has the best explanation of what you are doing and why it's necessary.. I also like Camper Vibe...Louise has great methods and explains things well.. Thank you again for your channel I look forward to seeing each project you do..see you We😮please God..
Ahhhh I am sending you both the biggest Canadian hug!!! I know what it is like to be under the gun to meet a deadline while trying ot do things the correct way so in the long run you are not going back and fixing. You've got 100,000 people sending you good vibes - you will make the deadline and you will be living in a beautiful cottage in the end. Remember to breath - you got this. 💕
Those Ginger cats on the pond - MENTAL - so bloody funny!!! Love watching this series of yours - best of those I watch, though Martjin Doorland in Italy is incredible too ♥
Perhaps that piece of his coat, now cut off could be put into the wall of the cottage! A piece of history of the project time capsule! My husband and I built our house, mostly on our own. We had a few phrases we used on times when we made mistakes, we are happy to share them! #1 It is what it is! #2 No one will see it. Of course we didn't do a recording. Best wishes for your journey.
President of the Official Benji fan club here. Thanks for slipping in a clip of him! Can't believe how fast everything is getting done on the renovation.
I loved watching the cats playing on the ice and then the shot of them all sleeping. Just like kids playing in the snow here in Missouri and then getting in where it is nice and warm and falling asleep. Hope you have had some luck in getting your extension for your grant since Sam had to take the time off for his training. I know that sometimes it can be tricky working with those government agencies. Your house is going to be amazing so just hang in there and keep on keeping on!
Hi there from a hoylt " wind-bl9wn Cape Toen, SA. I absolutely lóve the 3 gingers playing in the snow & on the frozen pond & then settling inside near the fire out of the freezing cold!!! Ai !!! So typical of a ginger!! Ja. 1 makes mistakes - every-1 does @ 1st when 1 builds things 1selves, but @ least u know what u've done wrong & know how 2 fix it - don't dispair Good luck with the extra "work", but 1 learns that way & it shouldn't delay things thát much & it'll only mean a more thorough job. Keep going & enjoy what u do. Remember!! When all is done & dusted, u can sit back, smile & say-" "C we persevered, did it (most of it) ourselves & c that it can b done"!!! Looking 4ward 2 the following-up vidios.
I love watching what you all, are doing! I have an affinity for Ireland (my great granny came from Ireland) and the stone cottages dot the countryside make my mind and heart ever so happy. I love how you two work so so hard and just keep on keeping on. Look forward to each step in this arduous undertaking. This is going to be an epic transformation! Be well, d 💙
Oh bless you both.......hindsight is a wonderful thing......but at least it was fixable, and oh my, do you both work so hard. Well done, for keeping up the momentum in cold weather...not easy but it's all coming together. Also have to say......the cats in the snow and on the ice made me giggle 😂😂 brilliant. Love the end credits with the 2 donkeys in shot...fabulous x ❤ thank you for taking us on the journey with you
Yes, it is! We have learned so much, and that will help when we do the barn! The cats love the snow and frozen pond. They are like kittens again! No idea where Onyx was! Probably sleeping in the barn - very sensible!🤣

I noticed it last video you were almost at 100.000 🙂, would be great, you deserve it. And perhaps it will help to be able to put in the sky windows instead of having to do that at a later time. Would let in so much more light in the living quarters. Have a great weekend !
Thank you. Fingers crossed for skylights this year.
Great job Sam and Becky you will achieve your dream I have no doubt.👍👍👍
Living where we have four seasons, I understand being able to doing things when the weather allows. Things always slow down in the cold/snow. Y'all are moving right along 😄
You are all fantastic helping those in need truly marvellous ❤
We sure are with you and loving it.
We're so grateful to You two!!!
What a calm start to the weekend. Tilly is a flirt, she winks at me. Thanks guys.
Ослики неописуемо мимишные! Вот кто бы мог подумать, что на старости я буду так переживать за пару ослов!😊❤
She really is! Watch out for that one. 😉♥️
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed watching. I love doing drone footage. It's just lovely living here. Beautiful in all seasons ♥️
100k followers 🎉🎉🎉 congrats!! Well deserved for all your effort and persistence 😅
Thank you so much!! 🎉So happy!
Yes, thanks Becky, that was (the reflective band) driving me up the wall. Lol
Brilliant video, very intricate work getting your barrier fitted. I did wonder when the reflective tap on Sam's jacket was going to be fixed. Most enjoyable video, you both work well together. Keep the great videos coming.
I just talked to my family in Ireland, very cold and icy over there. Well done getting the mistake fixed.❤
Definitely on the journey with you. You both are brilliant.
So lovely to see your responses to the viewers on this side of the lense xx
Great work, both of you. You will be glad of the air tightness being done so well when you move in to a dry and damp free warm home
Your build seems difficult at times. The stone to inner wall transition is all new to me. Great job, pulling for you all the way.
Such an enjoyable family to watch going through this fantastic journey . Thank You ❤
The intro was gold.
no such thing as a mistake if it can be fixed, great job on the vapour barrier !!
Little setbacks are nothing in the long run. Adapt and overcome, brilliant as always ❤
Way to go Sam and Becky! I hope you reach 100000. Thanks for bringing us along with your journey. I absolutely love your videos. You are part of my Saturday morning routine!
Fingers crossed! Thank you.
The important thing you are both brave and determined to keep learning, progressing, and making it work in the end. Bravo to you both!
You have done an excellent job in the cold weather
We are all on the journey with you..things are really moving..I love renovation builds but yours has the best explanation of what you are doing and why it's necessary..
I also like Camper Vibe...Louise has great methods and explains things well..
Thank you again for your channel I look forward to seeing each project you do..see you We😮please God..
Thank you very much! See you Wed. ♥️
Love watching this series of yours - best of those I watch, though Martjin Doorland in Italy is incredible too ♥
❤ the beginning, so peaceful
Ooooh, so close to 100,000 subscribers!! Because your journey is great content! 💖💖💖💖
Hang in there and one step at a time! ❤
Thats a good idea. We need to do that and add it in the wall voids. X
Love seeing all the animals❤❤
Great job 👏 it’s very cold out there and you still managed to do so much jobs. Love to see the animals playing around in the yard and frozen pond. 😊
President of the Official Benji fan club here. Thanks for slipping in a clip of him! Can't believe how fast everything is getting done on the renovation.
Lol dithering away as usual. He hates the cold.
Your work is great! You live and learn...I think you overcome the setbacks very well ..as long as you get anything done you are that much closer 😊
Thanks for sharing!
You are doing so well, setbacks are a pain but you will get through them and it's looking good. Happy New Year have not said that yet to you.
Sending love from indiana in USA. remodeled 3 of the 4 houses we've lived in. Stay strong!❤
Great teamwork. Congratulations on new subscribers.
Wondering when do you expect the progress inspection?
Keep up the good work!
JIM ❤
Not sure yet. At the end when we submit the grant paperwork I think.
Beautiful Winterwonderland.❄️Lovely view of your homestead. Peace and silence. ❤
Thank you for cutting that strip off LOL. So happy you were able to fix the problem, so hard to work in that kind of cold 🥶
Hi there from a hoylt " wind-bl9wn Cape Toen, SA.
I absolutely lóve the 3 gingers playing in the snow & on the frozen pond & then settling inside near the fire out of the freezing cold!!! Ai !!! So typical of a ginger!!
Ja. 1 makes mistakes - every-1 does @ 1st when 1 builds things 1selves, but @ least u know what u've done wrong & know how 2 fix it - don't dispair
Good luck with the extra "work", but 1 learns that way & it shouldn't delay things thát much & it'll only mean a more thorough job.
Keep going & enjoy what u do. Remember!! When all is done & dusted, u can sit back, smile & say-" "C we persevered, did it (most of it) ourselves & c that it can b done"!!!
Looking 4ward 2 the following-up vidios.
Thank you Bernie. We are definitely lucky so far that we haven't done anything major that can't be fixed. 🍀🤞
Thank you. ♥️
