The seed is the word of God, Christ is the sower;
all who come to him will live for ever.

Gospel: Matthew 13:36-43
Then, dismissing the crowds, Jesus went into the house. And his disciples drew near to him, saying, 'Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.'
Responding, he said to them, 'He who sows the good seed is the Son of man. Now the field is the world. And the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom. But the weeds are the sons of wickedness. So the enemy who sowed them is the devil. And truly, the harvest is the consummation of the age; while the reapers are the Angels. Therefore, just as weeds are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the consummation of the age. The Son of man shall send out his Angels, and they shall gather from his kingdom all who lead astray and those who work iniquity. And he shall cast them into the furnace of fire, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the just ones shall shine like the sun, in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.'

Prayer: My glorious King, You invite all people to share in the glories of Heaven. You promise us that if we are faithful, we will shine like the sun for all eternity. Help me to understand this glorious gift so that it becomes the single object of my hope and the drive of all that I do in life. Jesus, I trust in You.

A wonderful reflection! The path we follow and the journey traveling down that narrow road of righteousness is one filled with hope. It is a spiritual journey, filled with hope to achieving eternal life. It is narrow in order to keep our focus on the light at the end. It is hope that fuels us to achieving our goal. The presence of the Holy Spirit in our hearts assures us of a voice and guide to any difficulties that may arise to distracting our journey. While this journey may not be without it's concerns, we must hold on to the promise made in John 6:40 which says, "For my Father's will is that everyone that looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day." There has been, is, and always will be those who have been sowed by the evil one, to cast doubt on that promise. It is up to every Christian to believe and trust in that promise and rebuke the distraction of Satan otherwise. The truth is in the word, and the word is in the message that Christ spoke prior to His crucifixion, burial and resurrection, John 6:51, Jesus says, " he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." What greater promise could we have! The importance of the Holy Eucharist in our faith is the deliverance of Hope we should have in eternal life. Our Father first loved us, without discriminating our love for Him, but love for all, good seed bad seed, with hope for forgiveness and salvation through His only Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not parish, but have eternal life.🙏💖🕊🕊🕊
