- I've put together a video demonstration of the Log4OM hamradio logging program. I've been using this for a couple of years now and I really like the program. Best of all it's free to download and use without restrictions.

Feedback is welcome. I am aware that I am a bit of a ninja clicker. I am also pretty new to recording and editing videos. The transitions are not as smooth as I'd like but I'll get better as time goes on.

Thanks for sharing. I'm amazed at how robust this program is and it's free. Mind boggling. I just started with it a couple months ago and now am in the process of loading 50 years of logs LOL

I am trying to get my TS-570 to work with JTAlert and WSJT-X and log4OM. It keeps indicating an error when I click the Log QSO button. How do you have yours set up?
+stvncraig does it give you any indication what the error is? I believe I had something similar when I first set it up and I was due to my log4om settings in the communicator. I believe it was under inbound settings that I did not have it enabled or it was misconfigured.
Dennis d'Entremont Thanks for responding to my message. The communicator is running. The TCP Connection to Log4OM is lit green. The JTAlert indicates Error message: Unable to establish UDP connection to Log4OM Communicator.
I'm still tinkering with it. Inbound settings is greyed out UDP Connection port 2236.
Dennis d'Entremont Dennis, I finally figured it out. Thank you. I dug deeper and read the manual also. One problem was the fact I had WSJT-X on the same 2236 port. Its supposed to be on 2237. And I didn't have the Communicator Inbound set correctly. I didn't have the UDP Connection box checked. All fixed and running well. Thanks again.

Annoying video due to not muting system sounds and saying "or whatnot" frequently. You'd have to work hard to improve on the original videos by Terry.
+DrTeeth . Thanks for the feedback. I am trying to improve on the quality of the videos and my speaking. That is a big part of why I am making these :)
Also, fwiw I am not trying to improve on anyone's videos I am just doing my own thing.
Don't forget about the repeated spit swallows/mouth smacks, and the sighs which makes it sounds like he's being forced to do this video or the info being presented is beneath him.
