I love how the lore for the track says that humanity discovered ancient ruins within Mercury, forever considered uninhabitable, and before any answers could be found or even speculated on, of course the first thing they do is build a god damn race track around the ruins. Considering the lack of hostile space ghosts, I guess whoever was there before was also a fan of racing.
I absolutely love the new courses, very likely my new favorites. Even the new soundtrack I find to be a absolute banger. The tracks just feel *so* fast with all it's straights and sweeping corners, and even through turns, especially with the surprisingly technical and aggressive jumps. I think they really worked on spectacle this time, and it shows. My favorite part is that last jump at the end of the first couple tracks that has you just sailing through the air, barreling down into a canyon at 2000kph. Such a wild ride. They really knocked this one out of the park.

@@shallot4991 Kick track is just 4-to-the-floor with ZERO variation, bass heavily relies on a I-V-vi-IV progression which is just boring and unoriginal, and lead synth is the same generic synth you would've heard a hundred of times if you would've had some experience with this genre. Track itself is very static and the only dynamics are achieved by switching focus between lead, bass and both for the entire duration.

I noticed while racing on the snow you get increased grip or "stability". I don't know if it's bug or just something that's part of the track. The music in this region sounds amazing, making this my favorited update.
It's amazing fun and the setting is dope The third track still bullies me with its sharp corners and sudden temperature changes, but that's just a skill issue I need to overcome lol
@@Joltout I actually really like the huge temperature swings. I run my craft super hard with a lot of durability, and it actually puts a lot of pressure on me to manage my cooling and durability and balance it. I've found that just boosting or letting go of it a bit sooner by even a second or two has led to some huge variances in my lap times. It's been a lot of fun to try and nail down and gives a really dynamic feel to it.

It's the most generic synthwave/darkwave possible, as a person who listened to these a lot, it feels really bland and unoriginal

The soundrtack in this place is awesome, but I still miss Aram Shazbazians as the main composer.
It says it's a boss race, but we all know you're the final boss of Redout.
Man, this course is kicking my ass, but I love it. Possibly some of the best tracks so far.
