You have such fun & beautiful projects. Aren't we lucky to have so many choices? Thanks for sharing your progress & the health update. So glad you have a more positive path.
What a brave, positive person you are and so open about sharing your journey - I know this will touch so many others with medical problems not just cancer - a testimony to asking the questions you want to know and not giving in to the "because I said so" attitude you often get at the Dr's office - thank you for being such an inspiration 🙂
Wow! So frustrating that all of that information has been there this whole time. I'm so glad you reached out to your friend and found someone else to talk to. So glad that your outlook is so good. Prayers that they will continue. 💕
I had to go to work straight from that appointment and I was glad that I had an hour to get all the crying done before I clocked in. The amount of relief and the answers I had so desperately needed just came out in the car. Now to figure out when we can see each other again!!!
Your WIPs are so beautiful! I recently gave up on a couple of stitches and it's all good. So incredibly grateful you got good news about your cancer! I've had those mindset resets with family members. And you better believe I consider you a good friend!!!
The very first video of yours I watched was when you announced your diagnosis. I'm so happy for you getting the best possible news you could get in the circumstance. PRAISE GOD! I'm also thankful you advocated for yourself and found medical professionals who are informative, compassionate and not on a power trip. Good for you!!
Thank you so much! There was a sort of sense of guilt in finding another oncologist it but I knew I needed to see if someone else could make sense of everything, and they did!! And thank you for being here with me.
So many beautiful wips on really cool fabric choices. I need to get my mitts on some Be Stitch Me - I hear the name all the time! I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that you found someone who would just talk to you! I have dealt with this so much with my son and the idea of having another new doctor this month is creating such anxiety! Things just don’t work like they do on Grays Anatomy! I am soooo thrilled for where you stand and the resources you found. Information is power and there is nothing worse than feeling powerless over your health! Sending you soooo much love.
Thank you so much!! I had a call from the specialist last week regarding something she did for me (more later) and asked if she wanted me to pass on the info to my oncologist and I told her, "Uh, you are my oncologist now!" and we both laughed. I had to call and let my primary oncologist know that I've opted to see someone in another office and the anxiety around it was terrible. I totally get what you're going through. You want to trust the person but your gut is telling you to check again. Ugh! Hang in there.
Hello, Sarah, I am so happy that you received some good news. I am also so sorry you did not get the answers for so long from the first oncologist. That is so frustrating. I think you are in great hands now and loved her chart explaining the cancer grading. Thank you for sharing your WIPs. I enjoyed the company as I worked on Vince’s Christmas stocking. Take care.
Thank you! I knew that I needed to find another opinion so I could have some sort of baseline. Not knowing for so long was incredibly difficult, but now that I know where I stand I can finally relax! Thank you for stopping by!!
💜💜💜 Ah, Royal Holiday is on my one day list. One day I'll get to her. Love the way your Artsy Housewife piece is coming along. Love the colors, love how rich it looks. 💜💜💜
Live all the wips!!!❤❤❤ stunning. I am so happy I found you - I NEED to stitch thats not a moon - what fabric did you stitch it on? So thankful you listened to your intuition and sought a second opinion - and were able to connect and communicate with specialist so important. The smile on your face gave me happy tears!!! Take care my stitchy friend!
Your flow chart is wonderful! So glad you have more information-not knowing is terrible. I always enjoy a WIP parade, thank you. The beading on the Christmas piece is very pretty! Every time I see Live on Little, I almost buy it. After seeing yours I think I’m going to do it.
I am SOOOO happy to hear of your experience with your new specialist! It's was evident in just your voice tonight that you are in a much better place. Will you still be needing treatments of some type going forward, or does it just carry on sort of being there, but not progressing or causing any damage? Sending a huge hug your way!! Steph x (Oh - and I loved all of your pieces, but your fabulous news stole the limelight).
I had another conversation with my new oncologist and she went over the plan for the future. For now it's going to be nothing but scans for monitoring, and man, I can handle that! Happy tears!!!
