There needs to be way more melodic elements in Drum & Bass. In my case i consider for example tracks like "Circles" by Adam F such classics because they have melodic elements...even the bassline had a melody. Why does DnB in general have to be always such a technical genre....yeah, it's awesome to hear tracks in which a person who knows how DnB is produced proclaims "how did he/she/them do this?!?" but somewhere along the line the DnB scene just became a studio nerd festival. I love the works of Omni Trio, Aquasky, Goldie, LTJ Bukem and others that not only put love on breakbeat/drum edits and over compressed ultra maximized Reese. What happened to immersive atmospheric pads, melodies, soft sub bassline and interesting breakbeats that sound like real love and thought was put in the editing and sampling. I don't want to sound pessimistic....but DnB has always had great Era's followed by times where great tracks didn't happen as much....I have lately seriously moved a bit away from DnB because I'm having a hard time finding tracks that actually sound great. Even Metalheadz Records - once the absolute echelon of DnB - has released mediocre tracks. Since the Blocks & Escher Album there have been more mediocre releases than great Music. Omni Music has way too many filler tracks. Over: Shadow Recordings doesn't reach the musicality of the original Moving Shadow Label. So most of the time I scout for tracks that I missed in the nineties golden era. Your track is a nice example of melodic elements, pads and arrangement. Hope you keep posting more music....

I think in general Atmosperhic DnB gives us a chance to explore moodier / introspective / jazzy vibes where melodies can really shine - as opposed to jump-up for example - where sound design and wild drops are king. Not to say I never have fun listening to jump up at raves or anything, its just not a sound that moves me emotionally. Again, really appreciate u stopping by to listen man! More tracks are on the way - hoping to release at least one or two more songs before the years end! 👊🌊
