While going to stressing, please check the strands (tendon) condition,if rusted please clean with Rustolene Or petrol etc. During the presentation,before check all the criteria.
Want to know whether each girder to be mounted will be tested. I find that you are keeping one end fixed and stretching or pulling from the other end. Such an action will test the elasticity longitudinally. But, the moving load is on the top. how would this test prove the girder can withstand it? I am not a civil engineer by qualification or experience but interested to know about such tests.
Very nice . But dear you are ignoring the safety . This stressing activity is not soo easy task what we are discussing here. If any one strand curtailed during stressing processes, then that particular strand will come our like bullet speed. Many accidents will happens during this stressing activities only. So please be safe during stressing and no one should come in front of the tendon during the stressing .
pl take safety precautions such as safety jackets , helmets for workers, also when wedges are put for locking initial we need to ensure the woring and 2 pices are exact in centre, I saw the strand drum lying in open its not correct needs to be protected from duct since after manufacture of wire it hs a thin coat of oil , precautions board so that no one stands behind the stressing equipment.
I think you are pulling all of the cables as one unit, the total pulling force and displacement will be equal to the rated force and displacement but the force and displacement of each cable will be different. This may adversely effect the life of the beam. How do you make sure each cable is pulling with the same tension; some cables have slack inside the concrete and the collet may not grip the cable the same way. I am assuming each cable is placed in a lubricated tube inside the concrete.
At the time of stressing, if tendon fails then that will come in a bullet speed with wedge. In that case to avoid accident, what safety measures to take? Kindly make one video on this.
Let me correct you > Tensile nhi compressive stress induce hota hai girder me prestressing se...wo plastic ki pipe jisme ye daale jate hain is called sheathing pipe...if it's deflecting upwards from the middle then parabolic profiling is been used. Further 7 day strength of concrete must be checked before stressing. After stressing grouting is done to fill the empty part of sheathing pipes or space between HT strands.👷✌

Psc structures are thin & less in size so as self weight is less as well. They are mainly used to take more deflection & resist cracking at service load. I hope its helpfull.

That means we should not allow those strands back to its original length even after release the applied tensile load. At that moment the entire tensile load which we applied on the strands converted into the Compressive load on the concrete element. If that concrete element is strong enough to bear that load from both ends to distribute entire length then that element is called the prestressed post tensioned concrete element. If that concrete element didn't bear that applied load then that element will fails like 1. The end cones might go inside if there is no proper sound concrete back side of end anchorage system. 2. The entire element may crack or crush Depend on the concreting workmanship of that element.

How can a load cell measure tensile stress??? Load cells are generally used to measure compressive load and show readings in kgs,tons etc.

This is not the case caus hydrlk puts psr ltil by ltil so bullrt speed is not possible.
