Jayden DeSarno Joyner did a song with em and he’s been blowing up lmao. So has Logic but back when he was better he wasn’t blowing up, Logic isn’t in his prime lyrically but in sales he is. Logic is easily comparable to any rapper in the game, he does numbers, has the best fan base, is easily one of if not the most versatile rapper in the game. Easily has the best message in the game, does numbers with ease, has a loyal fan base, is lyrical when he wants to be, flows while doing everything else. Joyner is good but nowhere near logic lyrically, logic does more numbers, is more relevant and they are head to head in flow. They are both dope but Joyner is nowhere near better lmao. Logic’s discography >>> Joyner’s. Joyner has yet to drop a project that isn’t all over the place and actually tells a conceptual story. Meanwhile logic has done multiple. Can’t recall the time when another rapper get the whole wu-tang clan on a track neither 🤔

An entire genre literally built upon sampling and you’re critiquing him negatively for sampling? Doesn’t make sense. You either don’t know music or hate that he isn’t darker than Eddie Murphy, let’s be real.
Classical composers have been doing this shit for hundreds of years, though it’s generally accepted as a progression rather than thievery. Hell, for an example that’s not even all that old, relatively speaking, a lot of Harry Potter themes were lifted from Holst’s “The Planets.” I think it’s “Jupiter” for the most part but I can’t remember exactly. Either way, be sure to listen to “Mars: God of War”, it’ll pump you up!

This is an interesting retrospective. It's weird how our lives maintained proximity. I used to take trips down to Maryland and stay with my uncle only miles from where Logic lived back in the day. It's crazy to think we could have met had I gone to Joe's crab shack the last time I was there. Years later I was in front of the barricade at a show, a foot away from his face looking at him through my viewfinder. I was 18, he was 26. I haven't seen him in person since August 05, 2016. I remember trying to catch up with him after the show but a friend of mine was at that show blasted out of his mind and I wanted to make sure he got home in one piece. I always wonder what my life would've turned out to be had I caught up with him after.
