Burglars would be so funny as an interactive career. Like ur daily objectives list is like steal a toilet, slap a sim and outrun the police 💀😭 getting arrested would be so funny and you’d have to pay bail to get out
this made me literally cackle thinking abt it
I miss burglars in the sims 😭😭
They should since they're gonna be milking the sims for a long time.
I just want burglars back in general
They should’ve incorporated burglars when they let us break into houses and eavesdrop
I would love skateboards! I feel like skateboarding would be such a cool skill, especially for kids and teens. And a skatepark lot type would be really fun for a teen hangout.
And clumsy sims could develop the skill a lot slower, with a lot of injuries and falls along the way haha.
Also a separation between wall decals, posters and frames would be great
^^ seconded
Or the ability to reorder / retag the items so the place to find each item makes sense to each of us individually
SO NEEDED
Never thought about that. But now that you mention it, that would be so helpful!
YES please im always struggling to find posters 😂
- spiral stairs
- making debug plants available + added swatches
- fixing cas filters (like cold and hot weather)
- working over supernatural skills (like mermaids)
- more whacky skin colours
- fixing build glitches (light and rounded rooms)
- prostheses
- lady bug house (sims 2) for crop health
On the prosthesis idea it could be different styles like more steampunk-y or technological or like the prosthetics that look like porcelain it's so gorgeous
omg spiral stairs, yes please!
I would love if you could get the neighborhood stories as a newspaper each day!
I never remember to check the mailbox for them. If it was delivered and sitting on my lawn or outside my apartment I'd be much more likely to read them.
I had thought of the newspapers earlier this week and had the same idea. A newspaper could have a pie menu where you pick a section like deaths, births, adoptions and marriages. ('Cause some of us only want to know about certain stories and not all of them) It could also be another way to select part-time jobs or just jobs in general or get your fun up is your Sim reads the comics section.
I miss having newspapers lol. it added an extra challenge (only searching for jobs through the newspaper) and even though it could get mundane, having to constantly recycle the newspapers or risk them piling causes for realistic gameplay. I miss those small details in the sims 4
They also had classes listed, movie events, and sports news. I really miss that, especially since when they went bad you could recycle them. We could use the money trash can for that.
@@marieduran6286 Don't forget frugal sims could get coupons for discounts, I thought that was a nice touch.
OMG YES!!
one thing I've wanted forever is NICKNAMES!!! esp with the new cas stuff with dynamics I think it would be so cool to be able to set it so that you call your grandma "meemaw" or something like that, and it'd just make it so that the interactions with that sim from a certain perspective would have that name
YESSS we need this
Regarding bands and musical instruments, I feel like the Wedding Stories pack missed an opportunity to include a harp instrument/skill. I would love to see more instruments/skills/hobbies included.
You are so right! A harp would be beautiful 😍
Or even a trumpet. Jazz, rock n role, blues, etc. Gym, dance. Cars, trucks, boats, etc. I also miss world adventuers like a cruise ship, France, Thiland, Mexico, around the world. Also in certain packs fix the bugs.
yes!!! and highscool years missed out!! band is such an important part of the highscool experience!
They didn't miss the opportunity they were too stingy to include it, fixing some of their packs quickly went out the window when inzoi character studio was over and the game then delayed til March instead they decided to sell more packs to everyone. I can't wait for that game at this point
That would be an awesome refresh to Weddings Stories! I know ea probably won't be doing any more refreshes due to profits, but if they're gonna do any more this one would honestly make a lot of sense considering how low ownership of that pack is
I would be over the moon for a vintage pack! I stayed in an old house over Christmas and it gave me so many ideas! We need more things like fluted glass doors/windows, salvaged French doors, big floor grates, etc.
A lot trait for squeaky floors that could give moodlets for either feeling cozy or kids getting caught sneaking around, etc.
The other big thing I would love to see is just more social interactions between Sims. Even a gameplay kit for household interactions, like asking a family member/roommate to repair something or pick up around the house would be great for story moments (sparking arguments, etc)
Yes!❤
Fixing their glitches would be lovely 😂 I’d like more aspirations and skills! Like, why isn’t there an aspiration for baking? Stick it under mixology and cooking! And I want burglars back.
I'm still wondering why there are no career-based aspirations in Get to Work.
Or a basegame garden career 🙈
I wish we had more friendship-aimed ones! Like, if we had a "best friend forever" aspiration, that's like the romantic soulmate one, but this time the goal is to be the best friend of someone.
@@NicolesBookishNook yes!!! I would love an update where they add more aspirations. Base game and for some EP's. I love the ghostwriter aspiration in Life and Death because it's an aspiration that uses a mix of skills. I loved those kinds of aspirations in Sims 3!
@@aaronlevesque8173 I love the new Life & Death aspiration too because it's so interactive!
23:11 for the newspaper that’s where u can read the neighborhood stories stuff!!!! LOVE THIS IDEA
Kayla glass blowing isn't just a fire hazard, sims could die by INHALING molten glass! So your chased by death, clumsy, and/or sloppy sims probably shouldn't blow glass.
that's horrifying
It’s not like sims is that realistic anyways they’ll be fineee lol
@@amariegood24 I'm sorry, but what game have you been playing? It will start with a 20% chance because they needed to make sure the death was working and forgot to tune it down for release.
OOOOOO Scrapbooking and a scrapbook feature (where we can look at our sims' memories and such)
I think the toasters idea is so interesting because like, what if children were able to use them and VERY slowly gain the cooking skill or something. also it would be soooo nice for university gameplay since you can't have kitchens that this would just be a nice other choice to have quick meal things.
Nah why is that me though I've only started to learn to be able to cook by making toast lol
i can see a college student making some avocado toast before class
Yeah we need ways for child sims to be able to feed themselves that's not just a quick meal all the time. I want them to be able to use a toaster AND honestly, i want their own little kitchens back like they used to have their oven. Crunchy mums these days make their own little kiddie kitchens for the kid to prepare food, i want that.
YESSS!!!!!!!
And on that note, I want the kids kitchen back! I loved that thing from previous sims games.
for the baby clothing thing, I think something like a babyshower pack could be cool! With more clothes, a bit of clutter, maybe a photoalbum to store pictures in etc.
I would love to see a sewing machine and a sewing skill, maybe one that works a bit like knifty knitting so you can make clothes to unlock in cas
I feel like they'd make this come with some additional annoying gameplay of your clothes ripping/fraying and you having to repair them 😅
Same! It is the skill I want to have the most in the game
OMG yes
and YAY quilting - but then we would need to be able to put the quilts on the beds - or hang them of course
it was such a missed opportunity to add in the moschino kit... like why is it so photography centred ?
I literally love all these ideas. I couldn't think of more perfect additions to the game. Also, as an adult who has a loft bed, it's so much better than being closer to the ground. I don't have the kind of bed in the picture (but my goodness it's beautiful) but like. Being higher up gives me such a sense of peace. So I'd 5000% recommend.
Another adult with a loft bed, and I looooove it so much! It's so fun, it feels like I'm in my own hidey hole, and it gives me the perfect place to have my big desk and keep a lot of space in my room
I want a dance stuff pack, with different dances and costumes from around the world, and a dancer career. Mainly because I want BALLET. I want ballet-themed outfits and decor, I want a barre like in TS2 Freetime, I want a ballet / dance after school activity. I wouldn’t be mad at a hobbies-themed EP like Freetime, but a specific detailed dance SP would be ideal and I feel like there’s a lot of content they could put in there.
I want ballet too! Love that in TS2 and really miss it. We had so many hobbies in the previous games, TS4 is soo lacking.
a figure skating career would be really cool, and various dance career's like ballet
i dont like using cc for builds, but I ALWAYS put a barre in my builds after uploading it. I want a dance career too and just more realistic, artistic dancing, especially as they level up!
3:33 fairies would go so well with cottage living
I desperately need more stuff for cats and dogs. Especially for the outdoors!! I want a dog house and kennels!!
yess dog houses would be so cute!! with kennels you could make a proper catio/dogio/petio lol
There is some great cc out there for animals! Highly recommend looking around a bit.
Haven’t found a cute feeding station yet😅
I have a bug when it comes to create dogs.
Yes, I hate how chunky the cat trees are. I want something slim and modern that actually fits in my houses. I usually build more modern and small homes and those things NEVER fit
@@Cazzmazingcassy and actual water bowls to match the food bowls.
I desperately want more instruments in the sims 4. brass instruments such as trumpet, trombone, tuba, saxophone, etc. would be so fun to play with and I would love the career opportunities of playing in a jazz ensemble, orchestra, or some kind of band in general
@sweetsakuma a concert/live entertainment pack would be so fun! Comes with an arena and a theatre. Careers would include Ballet, Stage acting, and concert musician (these could just be new sections in the entertainer career!). Book concert tickets on the computer or phone or get invited out with free tickets from other sims. You can form a band or go to an acting class. You could have a groupy system that pairs with the fame features in get famous, but they would be centred around being the number one fan (get perks like band merch or tickets or influence). I'd adore this.
For instruments, I would want brass, woodwind, drums, a ukulele, and a tambourine. For dance, I'd love to see them add ballet, tap, and hip-hop. It would be a lot of work, but maybe it's a game pack with the main skills/careers, world, mechanics, and then a kit with instruments and stuff like concert cas and build related items. Flood lights, band poster/ t-shirt creation tool (say mix and match stamp style designs, and then you can add the band name you created with an option between, say, 5 fonts). I'm way to excited about this idea..
would love to have my sim play the french horn, just bc it’s my instrument
Personally, I'd love to see an expansion to the genealogy/family tree function in the game. It's very simplistic and cuts out a lot of the family like cousins and aunts and uncles and stuff so I'd love to see that be added in! Maybe they could even do something with DNA test kits, researching genealogy (I know there's an option for that in the game, but it doesn't actually *do* anything), family reunions, gathering family for holidays, etc. I doubt we'd ever get something like this though because EA just tends to disappoint us, but it'd probably even work as a mod if someone had the skills for that haha.
this 100% should have been part of growing together and i will never not be sad that it wasn't included
@@j_0anna same! i almost included that in the comment but i thought it was long enough as it was haha
This reminds me of the feature in the sims 3 EP Into the Future where you could literally travel to the future and meet your descendants. But yeah getting connected more with family would be great.
I would like to see more family connections/relations, like father/mother/brother/sister in-law, step-father/mother that you could set in CAS.
@@justynaaleksiejuk1802 i dont want to keep setting step parents as just household members
I think the active daycare career, baby clothes pack, craft stuff, more pet furniture, more types of pets, strollers and more baby gameplay, more kitchen appliances and stuff, newspapers, and landscaping kit are all things I'd use all the time. I think it would be really nice to get these things at some point, if not this year. This isn't just for this year, but I'd really like to start seeing more disability representation added to the game. I remember hearing that we got hearing aids and other medical stuff (that I forgot the name of now) and being really happy that we finally got something like that without needing to download custom content to have it.
I was just playing with an elder today, and when I was decorating his house, I realized that we are severely lacking in elder-specific clutter items. I'm talking dentures, reading glasses, cane stands, bars for the bathtub, shower seats, etc...Growing Together was the perfect opportunity to add some of these things, and they totally whiffed it, lol
The Bathroom Clutter kit gave us a cup with dentures inside it and there was a pair of pair of glasses in the Everyday Clutter kit. I use the glasses a lot on nightstands and on desks.
A walker and wheelchair would be so good, then we could have a lot challenge for making the homes more friendly to disabled and elderly. Railings, large showers with shower chair, ramps instead of stairs etc.
@@hayleym2122 yes!! it sucks that i can’t have my sims be disabled like me. even having the clutter would be nice
@@lilaott6495Same. Even just a decorative cane would be nice if not a functional one cause they'd never, lol
@@lisag4588 yes, but I'd like more than just one of each item. perhaps some variety in the reading glasses and some denture cream. maybe even some decorative wheelchairs and shower seats.
i am PERSONALLY clawing at the bars of my enclosure for fairies. i need more mushroom decor, cute lights, whimsical and flowy clothing. ughhhh i need this
And with pottery if you are low level even "messed up" pieces could be really fun story telling.... like oh my kids made that in art class for a gift.
It would be so cute to have the kids bring back a low level pottery piece from school
You’re so right about the kitchen clutter especially! I was building a bachelor pad for Don Lothario the other day and realised that we don’t have ANY glassware clutter. 😭
"I'm not clawing at the bars of my enclosure hoping for a fairy pack" HELPPPP 3:00
I immediately thought of Brittany Broski😂
Me too! 🧚♀️ 🧚♂️
oh and another wish is slider colors for the hair and eyes like they have with skin tones. It would be cool to be able to manipulate the hair in CAS to be degrees of curly or straight. Also having hair that grows and needs to be tended by a stylist and a barber/hairstylist career!
Hey lilsimsie. I have an idea for a video where you could make a house using only packs that have been free (like backyard stuff, desert luxe, etc.) It would be so cool to see you build it!
Yeah that sounds fun
I like this idea too :)
Great idea! Maybe the event items too, since they are free as well
A free DLC Build?
Does anyone even have a list of which packs have been free?
I LOVED the Descendant of da Vinci lifetime wish in the Sims 3. You had to paint, sculpt, and invent, it was so fun! I’d love pottery or sculpting to make a comeback. I’d also love to see some sort of western zodiac or Chinese zodiac be included in a base game update. Could be optional if people don’t believe, but it’d be a fun compatibility aspect too. Burglars would be amazing as well!! I remember them terrifying me in earlier games lol.
I want a pool game pack so bad so I'm gonna yap about it!
1. Different pool depths- I want shallow and kiddie pools so bad, I want toddlers to be able to play with the splash pad objects inside of a kiddie pool since that's super common at water parks and public pools. Also kids can be scared of the deep end and conquer their fear or keep it into adulthood.
2. Pool stairs- I have never seen a pool without stairs. They could be used to sit and hang out on or get used to the water temperature- they also just make pools look better.
3. Pool games- like Marco Polo, throwing diving toys and seeing which sim could get the most etc.
4. Swimming skill, swimming types, careers, and school clubs- I would like different ways for my sims to swim- like doggy paddling, backstroke, etc, and you unlock more swimming animations as you level up your swimming skill. I would also love professional swimming, swimming coaches (can also have those baby swimming classes), and swim teams!
5. POOL MAINTENANCE! This should definitely be a thing that you can turn off/on similar to bust the dust since pool upkeep can be very expensive and labor intensive irl (aka incredibly annoying in the sims). I would love to close my pool in fall/winter and open it in spring/summer, bonus points if the pool empties and/or has a visible tarp covering it. When the pool opens, I would love to be able to see my sims actually going around the pool putting the chemicals in- which leads to pool filters. I would like for you to be able to look for frogs in them since I always get frogs in my filters 😭. Being able to scoop leaves out with a net and have the water texture change with how dirty the pool is.
6. Above ground pools with and without decks- not everyone can have in-ground pools so I think something like this would be nice. Also actual diving boards, like the flat ones- I do not like the diving platforms lol.
7. More bathing suits- I want more full body swimsuits for all ages (think like scuba swimsuits, some can have legs some not). And other stuff like swim caps and that.
Anyways thanks for coming to my tedtalk
Pool slides!
I love this!!
You can kinda make above-ground pools now but I think we should have an item for it (like the toddler pool) and different sizes. That would be awesome.
Actually this sounds really fun! I never have my sims use pools because there is never anything to do except swim laps and that gets boring! Having my sims kids play Marco Polo or have those diving toys! I use to love throwing toys in the bottom of the pool and going down to get them!
OMG this is great 100% agree I feel it should be base game since the pools are base game but this would be amazing!
I loved the whiplash between really mundane and small things and massive overhauls, going from baby clothes to multipurpose lots to strollers back-to-back :DDD
Sewing would bring a new career, you could make your own clothes, be a stylist, sell clothes maybe even in trendy? Have fashion shows? I would love it ❤
Yeah a seamstress career
If it was realistic customers would complain that you charge too much for custom made items!
Oooh, maybe a game pack centered around fashion: sewing skill, fashion designer career, modeling career, fashion runway shows.
Right now we just have the Moschino stuff pack which came with the fashion photographer career but it's so bare-bones...
I always find active careers hard but fun. I think its alot of work for the players to have to go to work for a promotion (for example attending two work days to get a promotion as a doctor). I would LOVE the opportunity to follow them to work but also just send them off to work and still get promotions. Especially if you've already done the career to the top with a different sim.
As always, amazing video
Yes please!
Yes!!!
I think more pet items would be perfect for kits. It gives the opportunity to have a bunch of different aesthetics, maybe even have one with more pets (like the lizards she mentioned). It’s super cheap compared to packs too so anyone can get them easily, which is perfect since it is DLC of DLC at the end of the day. I’m much less upset about $5 for a few items that don’t really match the aesthetic of the pack but would be super useful for variety that would pair well with other packs than I would be for a bunch of items that only really match themselves. Like imagine a Goth Pet Kit with the coffin shaped pet beds and little bat toys, adorable.
I agree SO MUCH about wanting things that are less modern! esp since we've had the "off the grid" lot trait for yearsss, having medieval clothes would be sooo welcome. They could include historical clothing from all over the world! Also it would make for such interesting ghost storytelling!!! ugh the possibilities are endless
I did an ancient roman family once and it was such a pain making even with tons of mods, I had to rely on a weird mix of island living and courtyard oasis. for cas I ended up learning how to make cc myself because I took latin for 8 years and couldn't stand the inaccuracies!
@Kelly_C that’s so real 😭 I’m an archaeologist and the number of times I’ve considered learning how to mod just to make the archaeology skill actually worthwhile…
i think that newborn need more interactions like when you take the newborn to their first checkup or like going on walks in a stroller putting them on the floor and stuff it would make the game more interesting (ik that in the sims three u could do some of that stuff)
15:09 I want a renaissance fair in the sims! Like it’s a little event and there’s shops and a joust and actors and there can be a part time career where you are an actor there (and maybe base game inclusion of the acting skill? Or an improv skill). Imagine your sim eating a giant chicken leg or watching someone do a blacksmith demonstration, buying sword ands weapons to put as decoration onto your walls. Including both medieval fashion and furniture, and introduce all day events in the sims that have different smaller timed events even
STOP THATS SO SIMS CORE TOO
I remember the Renn Faire near me had glass blowing done there! I imagine that (or pottery) could be worked into it somehow
yes
Yeeeessss!!! 😍
YES!🥰
this is absolutely niche but PRINTMAKING as a hobby would be so fun. woodcarving is already in the game so thats one. etching would be so fun. and the deaths? squished by a printing press? fallen into the acid tank? unmatched.
the medieval & old school clothes and furniture is so real. I LOVE playing sims families and decades challenges set in the olden times and i have to heavily rely on cc for immersion. A royal, medieval, or prehistoric pack is always the top of my list
I have so much medieval cc that my computer sounds like a jet taking off instead of the usual Sims 4-Cessna 💀also same, I would love more medieval packs!
SAAAME!! i’m playing ultimate decades challenge and so much cc is needed just to be a smidge historically accurate
My 25 Item Wishlist:
1. Burglars to make a return
2. More Playable careers (Firefighter, Burglars)
3. Hotels
4. More Hobbies (Pottery/Ceramics)
5. More Small Animals/Pets including Exotic Options
6. Pool Stairs, Slides, Diving Boards (I hate the platforms, A normal diving board would be nice)
7. Item Swatch refresh
8. More Kitchen Cabinets, with more variety to them
9. More Decor Items for clutter and walls
10. UI update to categorize things better (example: Decals/Stickers not in with the posters and paintings)
11. Fix Item slotting on shelves and other surfaces
12. Fix Railings to go on one side or the other not default to both sides
13. Add curved stairs.
14. More complete doors and windows sets
15. Bands/New Instruments
16. More Worlds (Rome, Egypt vibes)
17. Swatch refresh to CAS items
18. Debug Plants added to main catelog/More Plants and Rocks in Build/Buy
19. Additional Slots for Traits in CAS
20. More Traits
21. More Pet Items
22. Landline phone
23. More baby/toddler gameplay
24. Teen Kit
25. More lower profile bars.
A normal sized teddy bear that could be in the parents inventory would be so cute. What if the teddy bear helped ward nightmares away?
I love this idea! Also, maybe making it an heirloom would be fun too.
Reminds me a bit of sims 3 imaginary friends (which I loved) when they were younger and the doll would just be in the sims inventory and appear in the crib with them automatically when they were put to bed
There’s a light-up toy from some pack that supposedly does that, but I don’t know if it works in inventory or even works at all.
@@ShadoeLandman yes, it’s from parent hood. I just think the nightlights a little big
And if toddlers/kids have the teddy bear in their inventory, they snuggle with it in the bed when they sleep like in Sims 3. That was one of my absolute favorite things.
I want hobbies! I want my adult sims to be able to go to ballet class or play soccer with their mates. I want kids and teens to have those kinds of after-school activities, they can be rabbit holes, but I loved the Sims 2 hobbies pack. Ballet dancing skills, gymnastics skills, football skills. And more aspiration, I want them to fix my wedding stories, and add aspirations, like my dream wedding, batch party rewards, etc. Also, agree with burglars and firefighter career. although they should add many more careers and aspirations to the game, preferably as free updates.
The main thing I want is an architect career, it can be played like dream home decorator but it's building the home/community building instead of decorating it. The world can be mostly empty with a few abandoned projects and a few fixer uppers etc as well as taking us to other worlds to completely change homes for sims, but they'll need to give us budgets that are higher than starter sims have, so like 30,000 minimum
Like on the Sims 3 Ambition pack. It was fun and with a lot more flexibility to personalize the furniture.
they wouldn’t do that bc it’s too similar to dream home decorator
watching this after the new roadmap is so funny, simsie you predicted the future
That pizza under the turtle tank HAS TO BE a TMNT reference 😂😂😂
Similar to blender and toaster, I think a slow cooker would be great. It would be really quick to prep and then it cooks for a couple hours and is ready to eat - always in a family or party size portion. It would be perfect for during dinner parties cause you could set it up beforehand.
they have one in the for rent pack!!
For the kitchen one going off the microwave thing. In cabinet microwaves. So many homes have them above ovens or even in walls/cabinets with ovens. I feel like they could make it a setting for regular(current) vs snap( like dishwashers/dream home ovens) like cabinets have the little setting tab for different shapes
yess!! i’m a professional house cleaner and i would say at least 80% of the houses
i’ve been in have the microwave above the oven/stove !!
@@sunnysims9725 YES PLEASE
@nattpearl The microwave above the cooktop is a very north american thing! If you ever get the chance to check out kitchens elsewhere in the world, you'll see that benchtop microwaves are actually pretty common 😁
In Australia, while we do have microwave niches, it's incredibly rare that it's above the cooktop. They're usually in a cabinet next to the pantry, at chest height. Newer built kitchens have them under the benchtop which is way too low down imo.
Not that anyone asked, but my microwave sits on the counter, because the microwave niche is on the wrong side of the kitchen for the way the mw door opens. 🤦♂Someone didn't think that through before approving the build 😂
@@vincentlevarrick6557 I'm in the UK and both my double oven and microwave are built into cabinets on one side of the kitchen, while the hob (stovetop) is on the other side of the room above a set of drawers. It's not that unusual to have built in microwaves outside of the US now. They don't tend to be above the hob though, because there's an extractor over it and the heat and steam would damage any appliance above. I'd love to see built in appliances in cabinets in game. My microwave and ovens are both about chest height and I'd like to see something similar.
@@KittyCat260 Yes! That's what we have here too. 😀
I worded it poorly, but the "microwave niche" is what I meant by the cavity/built in space in the cabinets where to the microwave sits. Mum's kitchen is like you describe. I live in a small flat, so my galley kitchen has the microwave space in a cabinet above where I keep the electric kettle and toaster on the worktop.
I was overall trying to share that outside NA it's very rare to see the microwave built in above the cooktop.
I want a "Country Club/Golf Club" Pack. I want my social climbing Ambitious sims to brownose with business tycoons and politicians, judges and etc. So all the social interactions that would go with that.
You would have activities like Golf, Tennis, Croquet and Polo - another activity you could do with your own horse. Golf would be its own skill you could practice and get better at - and do solo or with another Sim. I'd love an 18-hole golf course - that you can opt out of by hole 9.
Golf Caddy could be another part-time career option. Or work your way up from ball collector to caddy to through player stages amatuer & pro, coach and finally golf shop pro. You need golf/fitness skill and logic and charisma.
Tennis could be indoor or lawn tennis. Croquet or Boules/Bocce/Lawn Bowls.
For Polo you could use your own horse if you have the Ranch pack (Agility skill) or hire one if you don't have that pack.
Locations/venues: Obivously the lounge/bar is called Hole 19. You would have a gym. A spa probably. Mansions and Pied-A-Terres for residence options. The Golf course is a playable course - a specifc location based challenge/aspiration, like getting to the top of Mt Komerebi for example.
I don't even particularly like golf. I've been consuming a lot of Britsh Murder-Mysteries-in-the-countryside lately, so I guess that why "the rich set" and their leisure activites are on my mind 😂
5:09 i think if My Second Pet Stuff had exotic pets that could use cat/dog beds, cat trees, etc. (I'm thinking maybe like chinchillas or something) so it can stand on its own but work very nicely with Cats and Dogs, it would be perfect. But I also think other pets like lizards or snakes would be super cool. And if it was in a luxe sort of style, I could TOTALLY see Cassandra Goth with a cute little snake in a fancy enclosure
daycare profession was my favourite in the sims 3 too!! I would love something like that in the sims 4!
I would looooovvveeeeee a stack of pillows or a throw blanket that will snap to a bed! Like that'd be awesome! Or like a build your own bed, different pillows, blankets, headboard, etc
ok, so just over a month into 2025 check in, we are at 4, 5ish, off this list!! Simsie is so perfectly dialed into what the community wants/needs, she knows all of EAs next moves (or maybe she is just psychic)
so far from the list:
-Kitchen Kit (both a clutter kit and a new base game cabinet set)
-Pottery (just now confirmed for the new expansion pack!!)
-Clutter kits (besides the kitchen clutter kit, there's also simsie's kit and while its not labeled a clutter kit exactly, she specifically said stacks of games and hanging plants? simsie delivered on this herself!)
-Multi-purpose lots (she says it is a more unrealistic option than the baby clothes kit she mentions before it but its already CONFIRMED)
then we sort of have Old School Gameplay (SORT OF as the phones are not functional but the alarm clocks are so, its something)
also potentially have burglars coming soon 👀
Regarding the multi purpose lot, you would think that you could take the concept of for rent with making units, but instead of making each unit a rental, you could make them a lot type and then possibly sub lots, like if you have a multifamily on one part of the lot with a park, shop, etc. on on another part of the lot. This feels like something in theory* that it could* work pretty well, but also wouldn't know until tested/implemented.
Love all these ideas! I would love a Regency era kit with regency style fashion and furniture
A kit with a bunch of tacky old kitchen stuff would be so fun! They could call it the Kitsch ‘N Clutter Kit! Think decorative plates and spoons, themed salt and pepper shakers, uranium glass, etc.
The sims could hold tupperware parties to make money! 😂
The time themed CAS and furniture is a great idea for kits. I’ve been dying for more Victorian and Edwardian furniture and wallpapers and clothing for years!
I may be biased, but I personally would love to see some trades as careers (welding, electrician, etc.) I'm going to school for welding right now tho, hence the bias lmao
@@melojammy this is a great idea. Mechanic, builder.
The multi-purpose lots would be so cool! LIke imagine a café kit or stuff pack where there's like coffee shop type clutter or just like general cafe themed things for your kitchen like a bag of coffee beans and a new coffee maker and different mugs, etc. I sure do agree with you on the more clutter options the better, especially clutter that makes sense together so homes feel both more lived in and cohesive.
My top 4 things that I want for the Sims 4:
1.BANDS (Allows you to add sims to your band, create songs, do concerts, and have an active career aspect)
2.Librarian Career (I worked at a library for 3 years and I think it would be a great addition to the game- preferably an active career but I'll take anything at this point. I helped patrons, shelved books, had to research books/movies online, and the library did programs for kids, teens, and adults so I helped out during and after work hours. Imagine working as a librarian in the Sims and you're walking around shelving books/movies but then you have to run up to the desk to help patrons every once in a while and you need to get to the desk before they leave. Kind of like with the Doctor career...)
3.Pottery (Can create vases, special dishes, etc... and do classes at the University to get the skill)
4.Fairies (My favorite occult from Sims 3)
These are like the top 5 stuff I want in my game:
1. I want an amusement park😭😭I want to be able to take my sims to an amusement park or a water park. It doesn’t even have to be with a new world or can be a game pack with a new amusement park lot. I also want to be able to create festivals like if I want to have a fair in newcrest in the summer, I want to be able to do that.
2. Bands. I really really want bands
3. Multipurpose lots too. Like I want to build a mall guys, please let me build a mall.
4. More hobbies. I really want more craft hobbies like pottery, sculpting but I also really want ballet. I want my kids to be able to learn ballet and for it to be able to be a career. I also want an ice skating career. Even if it’s a rabbit hole.
5. Summer camps: hear me out, I imagine it to be like university in a way were the sims going for summer camp leave to another lot. But your sims can be in different houses and play sports have different activities everyday like maybe craft day where they make summer crafts and stuff. Also I think it will be cool if teens can volunteer to be camp counselors.
6. Fairies: I love fairies and I want to make tinker bell lol
I have more but these are the ones that I’m clawing at the walls of my enclosure for and if they make them I will give them all my money
I want a usable fruit bowl. I want it to have an inventory and you can click on it and get a fruit and eat it. You have to stock it with anything you want!!
Then for the pottery thing you could set the plates and cups for your household. Like you click the cupboards and pick from a select few base game sets (Ie plain white, black square plates, china plates, etc) and as you get the skill you can make more wild sets. You could also buy them on plopsy!
I had a loft bed as a kid and I adored it!! Meant I had more space for things like wardrobes and I'd set it up as a "stall" and make my mum "look around the market" haha it was sooo fun! Bunk beds also help kids learn motor skills quicker (plus mine had a slide!!!)
Having burglars that actually interact with dogs/cats would be so cool! Like if your sim has a German shepherd and it barks whereas a lab would greet the thief!!
My lab would definitely bark and growl at a burglar 🤣
@ that tracks! I must have been thinking of golden retrievers instead
This would be cool! Or maybe not based on breed but personality traits like “territorial” or something
Being able to form bands is by far my # 1 want for the sims 4!! Or at least more instruments, but I think forming a band would be so fun!
My other big wish is a follow up to Tiny Living. The murphy beds are really cool, but I'd love other functional Build Mode items with dual purposes; most of the rest of the pack was just "small", rather than the actual multi-function stuff that's so valuable in real tiny homes. Hidden storage; the ability to put laundry and kitchen appliances behind cupboard doors and still have them be useful, a useable kitchen countertop without a cabinet under it so you could put the rubbish bin and an animal food bowl under it, etc etc.
I want an over the range microwave that you can mount under the bottom of the small cupboards. Also a double oven where two sims can cook 2 things at once would be nice. I also want jam making and canning! With root cellars and those horizontal tilted foundation doors that open near the ground. You could throw a toaster and a blender in this pack too.
I love the idea of a "Cozy Comforts" stuff pack that maybe has some cute new couches and rugs, or even new beds/chairs for bedrooms. I would also love if they would make the bedframes and the mattresses separate so you could fully customize which swatches you wanted to use!
They could also finally add slotting pillows to sofas/chairs/beds and turn it off for tables and shelves.
Maybe you could even upgrade your bed over time, new linen, new pillows, mattress etc
i feel like the medieval clothes and furniture could come with a Ren fair time event or something! it would be so fun to go with your sims to a ren fair!!!!!!
I’m banking on them forgoing the 10th of Sims 4 for a giant bang for 25th of Sims overall. And I am so here for a FREE Hot Tub Kit to celebrate… amongst other things. I’m expecting a log-in event with some good stuff… a base game update… maybe a surprise pack that they just didn’t announce. I also expect tons of merch to drop. A huge sale too.
Simsie your ideas are getting me excited. I wish the Sims workers let us vote on packs/updates regularly, it would save them from making a pack that none of us like and rather packs all of us have begged for.
Sims 3 had glass-blowing, non-CC. There was a glass furnace and glassblowing table, in the DLC "store." It was sold as "Artisan's Glassblowing and Jewelry Making Station." The items were cute and your sim could make perfume bottles and each perfume had an effect. But surprise, there actually was glassblowing.
I want sewing like we had in Sims 2. Maybe a few unique items, or even different versions of existing clothes.
Totally agree with “decade” clothing. This would also show an opportunity for more modest clothing which I’d love.
I would LOVE multi-purpose lots!!!! I do everything with the Sims 4, but I build A LOT! So I would LOVE to have multi-lots (I've been dreaming about building like a small little shopping mall in the Sims 4 that has like a bookstore, a clothing store, maybe a games store, with a small little cafe/community lot, and then the sims who all work in the buildings live upstairs, or something). I think I saw one of your other videos whereas you did something like that, and I would LOVE to have multi-lots! "Should we write to the Sims team, and be like; 'hey please make multi-lots be a thing'?" Lol
My dream list:
Mid Century Modern
Retro Futurism
Art Deco (build mode items)
Fairies
Band (Instruments)
Future/Fleshed out Robots
Hotels
Cars/Vehicles
More Live Careers
Underwater world or cloud world? Lol. Something avant-garde!
I need you to go to ea right now and tell them you want to make history😂❤
Really want retro futurism
Thank you for saying the last item.... mermaids don't have a world, every other occult does.
Retro futurism my beloved, i would die for a retro futuristic pack 😭😭😭
A bunch of stuff on your list is also on my list. Here’s what I really want
1. Daycare career!!!! (I just love to torture myself with toddlers, so why not 10 of them at one time?!?)
2. Landscape pack, trees, bushes, flowers, rocks, all of it.
3. A botanicals kit - imagine a handful of little floral prints for your wall and desk, small plants to decorate your house, a few new pieces of clutter, that vibe
4. A Victorian pack. I’d even settle for two kits one for build mode and another for CAS.
5. Vintage pack/kit. I want vintage appliances, clothing, recipes
6. An Elder pack - I want elder only clothing, a new game like bridge or majong, new interactions (talk about the good old days, Huh?!), new glasses, newspapers
7. Sewing/quilting
8. A homestead pack - picture this, selling your eggs and sourdough bread at a little farm stand. But not like a market stall, you load it up and people can just come buy it. New outfits with pretty dresses, overalls, boots, aprons, some updo hairstyles , maybe a cheese making station
9. Teen pregnancy - I know we won’t get it but I hate having to add kids for it
10. More afterschool activities - I want to be able to put my kids in dance, band, gymnastics,
Etc. I don’t care if they’re rabbit holes, but it would be cool to have some kind of homework associated with them like a job yo advance or get a reward.
Crockpots! Putting something in when your sim leaves for work and taking it out when they get home hours later would be fun. It could be in the same kit as the blender and toaster! Lol and maybe if you forget to take it out when you get home it could start a fire or something 😅
We already have crockpots/slow cooker with for rent
i think a decades expansion pack would be neat, maybe you could pick what decade/time period you want to play in at the beginning of a save like how you pick a season and then maybe there could be time progression and stuff like every 2 in game years it'll become a new era
I think since we already have a mobster career path, why not update it and have a go to work type thing to be a burglar? Love your ideas hope we get bands, crafts and daycare/baby stuff! Thanks for the video and Happy New Year!
Ok so for the multipurpose lots, I found another way to do it without get to work. As usual it takes a bit of playing pretend. So I built an apartment building and made shops underneath them. Obviously they dont function like an actual shop but you use the sales tables and just stock your actual inventory in the table. You can also make a restaurant/Cafe this way if you use the food stand that came with the most recent kitchen pack. They function just fine if you put them inside. When I built the building, I kept the shops as common area for the apartments but you could probably also attach them to the apartments above them. I havent finished the building yet as I've been out of a sims phase for awhile but it has a jewelry store, a book store, a Cafe, and an art gallery each with an apartment over it.
That’s so cool!
I would just really like it if they put mobility aids into the base game 😭 like canes and wheelchairs, they can have it as an update that goes w/ a car pack (or just in general Sims team PLEASE)
Before doing that, they need to adjust the game clock. If you had a walking cane as an elder in Sims 3, it could take you an ingame hour to do some minor activities, because you have an accelerated clock, but real time animation. It's a bit of a chore already with a fully mobile sim, so arguably the change to the clock is already worth considering
“Rat themed pack” amazing 😭
i didn’t think we were getting an upload today :0 happy new year kayla!!!!
I agree on the multi-purpose lots!! I recently built a restaurant with a bar upstairs but they always sit upstairs for the restaurant 😭
in addition to the landlines slide, im in the uk and i had to have a landline installed when the wifi got installed. I also live in a secure flat block so theres a phone by the door thats purely to talk to whoevers at the door and buzz them in. That would have been a cool feature in For Rent.
1. I really want an option to have a scrapbook/journal that has an actual interface, where you can post pictures (screenshots you've taken), write out paragraphs, post stickers, etc. You would also be able to flip through the pages. That way you could make really cute journal spreads and pass them down through the generations. It also helps you keep track of the stories you've told as well. ❤
2. I want an option to be able to homeschool your kids. There would be a curriculum that you would have to follow and would have to help your kids with a bunch of different subjects. Imagine having to take your child out to the park or in nature to learn about sciency stuff and plants? They could have to read history books and could even get creative and put on "reenactment shows" for others. Of course, there's art, music, math, physical health, writing, social studies, etc. There are so many potential things you could do with this. I also just wish we had a more fleshed out school system for children.
3. Yes, all the crafts. Pottery is a top wish, but quilt making, sewing, macramé, weaving, etc. As an artist and crafty person with lots of hobbies, we definitely need more hobbies in this game.
4. The ability to write books/letters on pen and paper and then send them in the mail. I don’t like how technology heavy The Sims is.
5. The ability to chop down wood or other plants for firewood and kindling. In order to make a fire, you would need to have a steady access to wood. If you run out, your sim might freeze to death!
6. Survivalist/Off grid kit - Would include whittling skills, making a campfire, fishing gear, foraging skill, and just other survival stuff. So many possibilities here.
7. Yes, I also want more older clothing, especially medieval clothing and clothes from other centuries and decades. Please!
8. A pack for ELDERS! I want canes and walkers, a new walk style where they walk with their hands behind their backs, more elder clothing and hairstyles, bingo nights, and other fun events that elders can do.
I want a fairy pack so bad but not even for the fairies. Ik I wouldn't play them very often, but the build/buy and cas stuff could be SO good
Like a woodland creatures pack with faeries, gnomes and maybe trolls maybe a secret world where you get shrunk down
👍 Agree!
the glass blowing could really be heavy in cross pack compatibility. one example is life and death (or even BG urns), one thing you can do with ashes is get them made into blown glass sculpture type things. we did it with one of my grandmothers. it could tie into to jewelry making too-- and even that ties into ashes. you can get jewelry made with the glass containing ashes. that is a REALLY good opportunity for more death related features. i love these ideas and just wanted to expand upon the glass one.
1:30 your kitty screamed at the same time mine did. kittys having conversation!! 🥺
I want to be able to mute events on the calendar I don't go to 😅 I don't have any teens right now, nor do I live in copperdale, and all the constant football games and cheer practices and stuff clutter my calendar! I have no idea how the coding would work, but I hope it's not too hard a thing to make toggles for. Maybe it could also be an interaction on the newspaper, where I can pick what events to get notices for via the newspaper?
I'd love more worlds inspired by other locations. I'd love a savanah, a swamp, and an artic desert! Maybe the desert could be kinda like the starwars pack (hear me out lol) in the sense that the vacation is an adventure where you are actually part of a research team! Think of the great clothing we'd get from that pack too! The more winter clothes the better!! I know these would have to be in expansion packs or game packs, but I can still hope lol
I'd love to see more niche fashions in cas. I want lolita fashion, pastel goth, cottagecore!
Love having this video every year, it's so fun to see everyone's ideas!!
i dont care about the giant crops competition, i'm trying to get the grouch trait!
Absolutely agree with your list, even though I don’t play with infants, I still think there’s a lot that could be done with it. One thing I’d love that’d make the game a bit more realistic is ramps. Most community and commercial lots have ramps as well as stairs. I’m disabled myself (visually impaired) and I’m not ever expecting them to add that to the game. But having ramps as a way to make builds feel more accessible and realistic would be a nice touch. Plus it would add an element for the modded wheelchairs and canes to interact with.
Also just better accessibility in the games features would be nice but one can only dream…
Love your vids and these are great ideas!!!
Regarding instruments, there's a pipe organ that got added in Vampires. Its not all that useful, but there is a fourth instrument.
Simsie it’s only been a month and you already got so much of this right 😂
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I started watching your videos halfway through 2024. I was going through a really hard time and your videos really helped me. Your videos were the constant in my crazy days. I love your videos and I hope 2025 treats you well.
I'll would more to the kitchen idea and say: there are a bunch of recipes that could be added as a stuff pack with Kayla's ideas, or even base game, and give microwaves more uses. bc I rarely use microwaves in my gameplay. I wish they could make more ways for uses to use it, and neq recipes are always welcome
I would LOVE for them to add in prosthetic legs/arms. I have a book character who lost her leg in a fire (she's a firefighter) and I'm using CC for her. 😪 more disability rep!
i have three ideas: a wall decor kit with a bunch of paintings along with a general update that will FINALLY separate paintings from wall stickers and posters. also with a sculpture type skill, it would be incredibly funny if they added basically lego sets into the game. kind of like the school projects where sims can help build and it's just another clutter item. and my last one is really out there but a wallpaper/flooring stuff pack. it's like crystal creations where you can make your own custom wallpapers using a trim, color, and pattern.
BEGGING for an active Firefighter career, I want to make all the 9-1-1 cast members and the 118 firehouse and play out the drama of their lives lol
best comment
@brewwin 😂😂 thank you
Yes!!!
