SCX Advance is really off the mark on this one. I have worked and sold SCX for over 20 years and should know better but I have faith in people and sometimes it bites me in the butt.
I have been a SCX digital guy from 2006 and really enjoyed their system and was saddened to see their departure from the market in 2014 and then their attempted restarts over the past 4 years. I have over 60 cars and most of them still work after 14 years. Back when SCX Worldwide had a site, I was a frequent contributor.
I am always looking for spare parts ....
They don't have a clue. The US market would be good for them
Hi Bryan, I have also been a long time SCX Digital rider and I thank you for your many years of support.
We have often tried from German to point out errors in the design or technology to the Spaniards and also to bring solutions.
In principle, there was never an answer or a discussion to solve problems. This arrogance will not do SCX any good.
I continue to drive the 1st SCX digital system as long as it goes. :)

I purchased 2 of the first SCX digital sets in Australia back in ~ 2004/5.
Was hugely disappointed by the constant stuttering of every car whenever a car crossed the start finish line, lap counter crashes and poor track fastening.
So I ended up doing a customer a really good deal on the lot, as he wanted it for his family.
A couple years later it was re released with everything fixed. The then Australian agent had a large SCX digital track at the major toy fair here, along with 2 “Engineers” from SCX. Nice guys, but…
I questioned if the stuttering issue had been fixed, to which they assured me it had. So I asked them along with the owner of the Australian agent and 2 extra reps on the track to try it out. All 6 cars stuttered every time a car crossed the line, the tracks were flexing apart still and the lap counter crashed after a few laps, possibly due to the tracks coming apart and corrupting the signal.
I thanked them for their time, but firmly told them what I thought of their product and for trying to BS me.

Hi Brian.. I've been with SCX analog since 2006 and enjoyed their products when you & Dave where a team.
I was frequent contributor to the SCX.WorldWide sight as well. They had a good thing going there.
I had been waiting to get into Digital and thought that this new SCX ADVANCE might be where I make the jump.
I'll just carry-on with my analog fun for now. although the Scaley & Carrera product is starting to be of interest.

@@ProTinkerToys and also. Here in Brasil is our only way to go digital /affordability. But when O read about digital my wish is that we had some sort of cross/integration among systems. Take the oXigen chip dor instance. It makes slot it works in jusy about any LED/lane change chips and that excludes scxd.. Only them. I like the simplicity of lane change mechanics but its an island.
I have a Scx.analog. track 143 scale love it because the cars stay on the track way better than Careers,the Scx.reminds me of my old Aurora,Afx from 70s you could drive full speed and cars wouldn't fly off,also big fan of tyco,
That came out after afx,,steonger magnets just made for more fun

Good move. I drove Chevys for 20+ years. The brand quality went down and I doubt I would ever buy another Chevy. SCX went down and I doubt they will ever rise to their former prominence. I had both SCX digital sets. I sold them and purchased 2 WOS sets. Then SCX went under. I use my WOS (with no app) and will use them until they no longer work, however, SCX is DONE! Like Buster Scruggs said, you can’t be top dog forever! Brian, if you could offer WOS chips,!that would be appreciated!

i'm very soryy to hear this. I was planning to buy a set. I understand you anyways. Here from Argentina, spaniards doesnt quite understand the brand they have, its sad.

I sell vintage and new diecast, anything from $5 to $700 plus, I've had similar issues with distributors, and sometimes you have to make executive decisions which are best for your business and customers.
Doing business with a company that ignores you for weeks or months is totally unprofessional, and is a bad omen, or a good indicator of things to come.
You did the right thing, screw them!

i was going to get scx was told scaletrix is better scaletrx track doesnt stay together good so far had to fix the cotrolers twice not all that impressed for what i paid years ago just as good for a hell of lot less $$$$$$..............china getting rich off this SHIT

@@ProTinkerToyswell let's say that there is a strong mobilization against the new reforms for pensions and unemployment. many "thugs" are mixing with the demonstrators which brings a lot of tension and by the same occassion of fights between the police and some demonstrators or "thugs". Despite that to my taste our government is not listening to the people enough and does not react in the right way.

Honestly I thought you were insane when you said scx was better than Carrera and scalextric on what planet? Lol so funny that video was .that's just my opinion scx has never been able to compete with Carrera and scalextric not even close.i like Carrera because in digital you have the ghost cars or pace car pit lane up to 6 ghost cars at a time if you race alone nothing compares to this now they offer a switch box to race analog and digital cars both on one track the tek slots switch box.nothing compares to this set up in the digital sets.scalextric has no ghost or pace car to race against and you must use a app for alot of it how lame but I still like scalextric track and cars but so limited to Carrera .but all of these companies are foreign and can't really relate to USA racers as well as autoworld .if they could they would be building 1960s Nascar trans am and muscle cars not foreign cars .if autoworld would build 1/32 they would be number 1 in the USA because they can relate to what we love to race and have been racing for the last 50 years ..but maybe it's all opinion but I don't know why in the hell you would want less options when paying out your ass for digital stuff Carrera gives you the most options and have been doing it the longest I think they invented digital racing maybe not but I know they have done it for years seems like everyone else still trying to catch up to them.i think scalextric needs to redo the digital include pace cars ghost cars no need for a app .also look at the Carrera accessories from driver display position towers wireless controlled lap counters .they need to do drag racing next.carrera still doesn't build enough 1960s trans am Nascar or hot rods they don't have a clue like autoworld Aurora or Johnny lightning all usa made .maybe one day autoworld will make 1/32 sets and include drag racing and more than Carrera can offer but untill then be realistic your stuck with Carrera or scalextric foreigners that can't build for the USA like autoworld or Aurora and they don't care honestly .don't be mad it's just my view look what is offered in 1/32 Carrera is the best then scalextric I would even buy ninco before scx sorry .thanks for your efforts I like the videos on slot cars keep them coming
patrick kerns SCX invented Digital and for the first 5 years were the best! Most accessories etc. then the recession in Spain knocked them down and they can’t recover. Carrera stepped up and looks to be the best available now and for the foreseeable future.

@@BishopsPlace looks to be 2014? carrera prox digitalwas in 2004 or before .also i have never seen a scx 1960s trans am or nascar or usa muscle car from scx so again they suck maybe not to you you like to race foreign moderm cars i dont im from the usa where we have raced muscle cars trans am cars for 50 years scx sucks always has always will nothing will change my opinion ..but thats just me thanks for the reply
