Martin McHugh: The Master's Choice CD Launch Concert

The Master’s Choice CD Launch concert featuring Martin McHugh - May 17, 2013 at The Celtic Junction Arts Center in St. Paul Minnesota.
We celebrated the launch of Martin McHugh’s first CD “The Master’s Choice”. The evening began with this concert set featuring Martin along with Dáithí Sproule (guitar), and Laura MacKenzie (flute, whistle, concertina).
Martin McHugh, master accordion player and well-loved keeper of Irish tunes, is recognized for his role in sustaining and fostering Irish music around St. Paul, Minnesota during the 1960s and 1970s and remains a strong and influential presence today.
Originally from Castlerea, Co. Roscommon in Ireland, Martin has inspired and encouraged a great number of the musicians who make the Twin Cities such a lively Irish music scene.
Marty passed away in Saint Paul, Minnesota on October 14, 2022.

Thank you Mario for putting this up - you have us all sounding real nice! I can hardly believe this was four years ago now - and I can hardly wait for Marty to have a chance to view! That was a great celebration of, and for, Mr. Martin McHugh. The house was packed!
