I swear, they get so much hate. People saying their what's wrong with country music today. I can't help but like them. Great songs, killer beats, good lyrics. Plus, they're just cool as hell. THUMBS UP if you agree!
+Taylor Coley Some of their songs I would say are more bro country, but at least was still kind of country. Some of them now like Eric paslay high class I'd say are almost pure pop or rap. I wouldn't say FGL's radio releases aren't good, but recently FGL and others it seems often the best songs are actually berried and IMHO don't get the attention they should. I remember once because I had some connections to the local country station I got a tour, etc. Their "music director"/DJ at the time said they went to a computerized system and their playlists basically come from Nashville. I was like in high school at the time and I just thought so there is basically one or some group of people in nashville that control all this that sounds kind of corrupt. Stations should chose what they want to play.
my aunt introduced me to this song before she died from cancer and every time i listen to it I'm reminded about how life is and how she was the best aunt I've ever had
MAGIC JUST HAPPENS (RARELY) - the way they sing, move, and complement each other - Magic. I'm 54 years old and always get goose bumps (not kidding) when I come across something this special! To me they are right up there with bands like Journey, never thought I'd become a huge country fan for the last 4 years - these guys need to stay on the same track musically, the Hall of Fame is waiting for them - I just wish them the best, no one can deny talent that is as natural as breathing, hope they just keep writing, singing, dancing and sharing it with lucky fans like this disabled old lady! And such good hard working kids that had a dream - even better, just meant to be, and yes this is the first comment I've written (ever) and probably the last! I'm blaming it on the "goose bumps"!! Hope they never change a thing because this formula really is PERFECTION - Every day one of their videos (I make sure they are at my fingertips) since I'm a "shut-in" and alone all day - the tough moments in the day only last until I blast a video like "Confession" - best "fix" in the world...... NOW I just need to figure out how to get them to adopt me!!!! Guess "I'll take a sip and say a prayer" that I haven't just annoyed the shit out of a perfect stranger! I agree with the comment from Caleb below - it REALLY does show, more importantly, you can feel it head to toe. Just wish these kids all the luck in the world, but I think they already have it covered!!!! Like I said before, just Magic. What a rare gift for us fans!!! But this has taken me two hours thanks to my stroke - and it's time for some music! And a nap maybe! Take care - Thanks for listening!! (No, really!)
does anyone else think Florida Georgia Line's songs have way deeper meanings then any other artists and their songs. FGL's songs just bring out what we are all thinking or feeling deep down. they make true music, from the heart.
Is this Donnie? I'm Rodney. You're him too? I miss him and I've carried his memory in my heart for so many years. I was in rehab when he passed. They didn't tell me until 2 weeks after the service because they were afraid I couldn't handle it. They were right. I still have a hard time letting him go. He was my brother too..
+Narridda Sao They also sing about places they've never been to....and sing about work they've never done. I like to call FGL's music the "I'm country but my parents still pay all my bills" starter pack.
I just took a beer and went up to the house rooftop and played this awesome modern country masterpiece but the coolest part was when he say waiting on a call from an angel and I was doing that too
They don't deserve the hate. Their music is really good. You're entitled to your own opinion, I respect your opinion. Your opinion is your opinion, but keep it to yourselves please. They are country. It might not be classic country but it is still country
FGL, I loved Cruise. I was in a really bad place in my life, and you guys helped alot. And then, man, every song was so freakin' good after that. I kept thinkin' that the next one couldn't be as great. But every one has been. You came on hot and heavy, and just haven't quit. I love you, Tyler and Brian. Keep on keepin' on.
+Caroline Gauthier Not trying to be rude but technically they aren't deemed country.....they are deemed bro country. Bro country has more hip hop or rap than country in it. Not saying they are bad, they are actually real good, its just that this isn't considered country.
when I hear this song it takes me to a place in my childhood with my family and grandparents smiling living life now that they are deceased I cherish those memories
Ya know I been a hard core rap fan as well as a writer and performer but now that I'm in my 30s I'm starting to put down that blindfold a bit and a girl gave me Florida Georgia lines cd and wow it's amazing feel good music that really reminds me of those good times the young years when everyone was together and full of life before life pulled us all apart and beat some of us down quite a bit. Bottom line I get a feeling of hope hearing there songs like there's still fight left in me. I still listen to all music but I refused to give country a chance even though I grew up country lol. Only complete haters can really bash this band in my eyes
I feel the same way, I grew up country and this music really touches those who have experienced the country life. Even if for a while we didnt get into it
Absolutely love these guys! I'm 54 and grew up listening to traditional country music. I'm also loving the evolution of country music with artists like FGL, Brantley Gilbert, Sam Hunt etc. Good music is good music. To all the haters out there, suck it up because these guys are ROCKING it and they bring it every time they step on stage! One of the live shows that I will definitely be seeing this year!
Sam Hunt overdoes it. He sounds like a city boy trying to sing country things, only he ain't got the drawl. The lyrics are as soft as the lettuce those city people would be eating. He's making country look bad. Justin Moore, Jason Aldean, Morgan Wallen, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan are the ones making country look good. Country was built on the backs of people from the Appalachian mountains and sons of the South. Those pretty boys doing country may sound talented, but they need the culture. It ain't all about the love, it's all about the traditions and kinfolk from rural areas and those places Yankees wouldn't even step in. The good ol boys could careless if it's muddy, that's where the word dirty South comes in. We could use country singers who'd perform with cowboy boots, hat and maybe a flannel. Songs about a fiddle in the middle. West Virginia. Flying down a backroad. Dirt road anthem. Not breaking up in a small-town. That's where whiskey glasses can claim it's name. Sam Hunt really has the black country clothes, but look at his face and haircut. He has some things country boys would probably not wear. Look at Morgan Wallen when you want to talk about country and hear his songs. Flannel without sleeves, mullet, jeans, cowboy boots and a Southern drawl. You can call good ol boys rednecks and hillbillies, but for them city boys, y'all are Hippocrates who support Yankees and socialists who want to take guns from us. Some of y'all may be singing country, but if you don't get your shoes and boots in the mud or on a dirt road, because your refusing or because you like clean clothes, then your some pretty boy making southerners look bad.
I found this song on Nov 6 2015 the day my uncle passed opened yt and there it was I drank one for him and listened this song and it describes him to a T , I bet I played it 10 or more times while crying and to this day when things are not going right I listen to this song .
I listen to this song almost every morning with a cup of coffee watching the sunrise. Wouldn't change a single morning, you guys really know how to hit the right strings of my soul. Thanks
That's what I'm talking bout right there boy. You've got yourself a good paradise moment that'll never leave your life. (P.S. Read my comment on this video.)
+Hunter430 I don't really think FGL listens to their fans once it comes to single-choosing. They never released the most requested song off the latest album to radio.
This song touches my heart because I felt like my life I'm living is not worth the things I go through out everyday but at long I heard this song I wouldn't have great hopes for my life.
Started listening to FGL in 2023, and they became my favorite country band. Just got to know now in 2024 that they've both split up and now I won't be able to hear anymore from them. That's sad.
OK folks, here's what you need to know. People listen to rock and pop because they like the music. Country folks listen to Country music because that's who they are. But people change over time, and with the environment around them. So music changes with them. Right now, country has a hard drinking, hard working, mad at the world sound because that's how country people feel.
thank you so much for commenting. I was thinking the same thing, but you worded it much better than I would have. Anyways, I just hate how people always say, "This isn't country like it used to be!" Well, that was back then, and this is now. People really just need to get used to the new style
my friend listen to some hank williams listen to some shooter or waylan jennigs they turn on this over produced pop shit pretending to be country music. this is truly horrendous and lacking of any emotion or feeling which country music is all about
my friend listen to some hank williams listen to some shooter or waylan jennigs they turn on this over produced pop shit pretending to be country music. this is truly horrendous and lacking of any emotion or feeling which country music is all about
this song brings back memories of me sitting on my grandpas lap driving our john deere tractors around the farm to bad he was taken from us back in 2010 by a combine header coming down ontop of him, everynight i think what we he think of me now as a 14 year old farm boy personally me and my uncle have expanded our farm to 1600 acres of land i think he would be proud
same thing all the Hank and Johnny Cash fans said about Garth Brooks and many more. Its called evolution and times are changing..You can change with it or get left behind. Either way, its going to continue with or without the bias comments.
with due respect I'm a yank as well born and raised small town newyork on the state line in the mountains it's not about North or South it's about country and how you live your life and view the world around you
It’s just stupid and sad that people let these politicians put a wedge between us all. There’s a time and place for everything but it should never define a person as a whole. Hope these guys find their way back to each other and make some bangers.
I personally like alot of their songs but i get how some people call them bro country talking about trucks and shit but a song like this is just plain good that most people can relate to in some way
Thank you Florida Georgia Line for a song that captures a mood that I love. I used to live in Tallahassee (FSU) and remember driving up to Georgia on the highway so this song is special to me. Your accents bring back memories of people I knew with a sense of nostalgia. I wish you both long lives and many more great musical moments. Maybe some day I will have the chance to hear you both in person. Mary in Chicago
Listening to Florida Georgia Line's H.O.L.Y. Love the lyrics. These are what a man who truly loves his woman should be saying. Guys listen up some of us real women still love to be sweet talked by the one guy who has our hearts.
FGL can never ever do u wrong. this song is so gud,it just echoes in my mind, makes me think of my life...other songs like h.o.l.y,updown,cruise,may we all, grow old,t his is how we roll , man they r so good too!!
I remember falling in love with Florida Georgia line when I heard this years ago. my journey with them began with this. I am now having playlists of them and always waiting for their new songs. I love them so much. please support them more. they deserve the world. angels. I'm a fan from Algeria. love you.
These guys are the real deal. They love their fans as much as the fans love them. I don't believe that's the norm anymore. You'll never see an interview or a conversation where they fail to mention how blessed they are to have such loyal fans. They have an ongoing video series on UA-cam of FGL on the road called Inside The Line. It just shows what lifes like on the road and behind the scenes. If you love FGL you'll want to check it out. FGL all day baby.
Lean back and watch the sundown fade Do what I do when life's a little sideways...This song is💯 percent good writing. I usually group FGL songs in my Summer jam type playlists, but the lyrical value in this one blows my mind and takes me to a super relatable place, everytime I hear it. And I don't even drink or smoke. I think it just goes to show how much talent there actually is in the Country music writing industry. Here's to you FGL and the amazing song you made!!😙, Jenna

Lyrics
Rusty barbed wire lines these fields
Gravel dust behind the wheels
Driftin' like my mind into the rear view
Jet trails cuttin' 'cross the sky
I'm rollin' through the open wide
Searchin' for a song to drink beer to
And tryna find a place to disappear to
I light up the night and let it burn
Lean back and watch the sundown fade
Do what I do when life's a little sideways
I take a sip and say a prayer
Wait for a shootin' star and stare
Off at the headlights on the highway
That guy in the windshield lookin' back
Looks just like me but there's a crack
In the reflection
This is just a moonlight soaked, ring of smoke
Right hand on a cold one confession
Embers in the ashtray glow
Like memories that won't let go
I'm out here tryna get untangled
In the darkness on the edge of town
A little lost, a little found
Waitin' on a call from an angel
I light up the night and let it burn
Lean back and watch the sundown fade
Do what I do when life's a little sideways
I take a sip and say a prayer
Wait for a shootin' star and stare
Off at the headlights on the highway
That guy in the windshield lookin' back
Looks just like me but there's a crack
In the reflection
This is just a moonlight soaked, ring of smoke
Right hand on a cold one confession
Light up the night and let it burn
Lean back and watch the sundown fade
Do what I do when life's a little sideways
I take a sip and say a prayer
Wait for a shootin' star and stare
Off at the headlights on the highway
That guy in the windshield lookin' back
Looks just like me but there's a crack
In the reflection
Hope he's movin' in the right direction
This is just a moonlight soaked, ring of smoke
Right hand on a cold one confession

Started listening to FGL in 2023, and they became my favorite country band. Just got to know now in 2024 that they've both split up and now I won't be able to hear anymore from them. That's sad.
Ive been listening to it for 2 years its now 2019 and still my fav country song.❤ Keep up good work❤
why do I love this song so much.. sometimes listen to it on replay.
Well I absolutely love them, in fact there my favorite country group…every song they have is amazing none are bad!!❤❤
i really love these guys but this song is beyond love,it's breath taking. How haven't i heard it before
OK folks, here's what you need to know.
People really just need to get used to the new style
you took the word's my mouth the both of and it's the truth people need to get us to the new way thank you
my friend listen to some hank williams listen to some shooter or waylan jennigs they turn on this over produced pop shit pretending to be country music. this is truly horrendous and lacking of any emotion or feeling which country music is all about

Opinions are like assholes, even dumbasses who hate this song have them!!!!
this song brings back memories of me sitting on my grandpas lap driving our john deere tractors around the farm to bad he was taken from us back in 2010 by a combine header coming down ontop of him, everynight i think what we he think of me now as a 14 year old farm boy personally me and my uncle have expanded our farm to 1600 acres of land i think he would be proud
That's awesome man. He would be very proud of you. Congrats on your success. Keep it up. You will see him again someday
3k people couldn't find a song to drink a beer to...
I'm a born and raised proud Yankee - who knows little to nothing about country music - and i absolutely LOVE this song and band!
same thing all the Hank and Johnny Cash fans said about Garth Brooks and many more. Its called evolution and times are changing..You can change with it or get left behind. Either way, its going to continue with or without the bias comments.
with due respect I'm a yank as well born and raised small town newyork on the state line in the mountains it's not about North or South it's about country and how you live your life and view the world around you
Thats great, anyone can become country, its all about values and perspective
FGL have churned out the hits and their solo careers have been solid but this is their highest quality song along with Holy
I remember I’ve listened to this song at Antalya airport way back home to Baghdad 😢❤️
Im a huge FGL fan...and overall if I had to pick a favoite song...this would be it
He's rocking that ponytail.
Lol I love a good man bun ❤
I love their deeper songs(this one and Dirt for example).
My dad is a truck driver and every time i hear this song i think of him and hope that he is okay
Way go man👍
I bet he's just fine😉 and I bet he can't wait to get home to you. Thanks to your Dad and all truck drivers. ✌
2:27 should be the Greatest Hits album cover for this talented duo.
I agree
It’s just stupid and sad that people let these politicians put a wedge between us all. There’s a time and place for everything but it should never define a person as a whole. Hope these guys find their way back to each other and make some bangers.
I think brian should be able to sing more. We need to hear more of him!!
I love this song... Actually I love every song they sing..
Write back I'll drop some lines I'm joker Daddy girly girl .lol be be fine like 6 I bought
why the short hair guy never sings alone and i cant hear him in the chorus?

He has sang a few parts alone in other songs, but I agree. He should sing alone more often, you can barely hear him.

out of all country music, they have to be my top favorite group. This is actual country music, and the songs are actually relatable and catchy.
I love this song Its so good its telling you keep going forward when life goes down just keep your head up
Wheeler Walker Jr owns FGL.... this shit is rap music with a banjo overlay.
If you think this music is rap, you're completely wrong bra.
Try 50 Cent,Eminem or Dr.Dre to see what rap is
florida georgia line is the best country group ever
Agreed Jagger, all of these people want to listen to hip hop but they're just too scared of black people to.
+Anthony Thompson i agree 💓💓💓💙💙💙💙💜💜💜💜💜💚💚💚❤❤❤💖💖💖😘😘😘
+dan bergstein you little thug wanna be.
This song makes me don’t wanna grow up all the memories 😭😭
Listening to Florida Georgia Line's H.O.L.Y. Love the lyrics. These are what a man who truly loves his woman should be saying. Guys listen up some of us real women still love to be sweet talked by the one guy who has our hearts.
This song brings me back to my childhood in Texas. Good times
FGL can never ever do u wrong. this song is so gud,it just echoes in my mind, makes me think of my life...other songs like h.o.l.y,updown,cruise,may we all, grow old,t his is how we roll , man they r so good too!!
2,674 people can't relate to this way of living
Every FGL song gives me chills... I love it
Not going to lie I didn't like them at first because of their "bro country" sound but I'm starting to like the message in their songs.
I live in the country and I have listened to country most of my life so I fell in love with their songs right at the first song
Most of their songs, with exceptions, have amazing songwriting and messages
I don't like Florida Georgia line but this song slaps and there is a real authenticity to it that other music doesn't embody. Good song!
I might give them hell but they got some bangers like this one hits the feels and is hype. Great one yall
AWESOME SONG, AWESOME VIDEO. Plus Tyler's man bun looks so damn good.
The banjo is probably my favorite thing about this song. Makes me want to learn it!
I don't really like fgl but they done good with this song. I heard it for the first time today driving my day cab Pete down rt 22 in Maine today

I remember falling in love with Florida Georgia line when I heard this years ago. my journey with them began with this. I am now having playlists of them and always waiting for their new songs. I love them so much. please support them more. they deserve the world. angels.
I'm a fan from Algeria. love you.
how does this song not speak to anyone who has felt lost and a little broken.
This is like a better version of story of my life

2020
FGL JUST MAKES ME SOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing how much Tyler's dad sounds just like him in the beginning.
I love their music so much.
BK should cut his hair back to when it was this short. He's much hotter this way
And tyler go back to long
Yes
Poor Brian, I just hope they find a cure for his voice; he's trying hard, he's yelling it but nothing is heard. Let's pray for him.
These two had a big place in my childhood
Great song, seeing them doing live was oh so much sweeter. My top ten list of favorite songs,
Lean back and watch the sundown fade
Do what I do when life's a little sideways...This song is💯 percent good writing. I usually group FGL songs in my Summer jam type playlists, but the lyrical value in this one blows my mind and takes me to a super relatable place, everytime I hear it. And I don't even drink or smoke. I think it just goes to show how much talent there actually is in the Country music writing industry. Here's to you FGL and the amazing song you made!!😙, Jenna
love confession but i think smoke woulda been a better 4th single
"Confession"
Rusty barbed wire lines these fields
Gravel dust behind the wheels
Drifting like my mind into the rearview
Jet trails cutting across the sky
I'm rolling through the open wide
Searching for a song to drink beer to
And trying to find a place to disappear to
I light up the night and let it burn
Lean back and watch the sundown fade
Do what I do when life's a little sideways
I take a sip and say a prayer
Wait for a shooting star and stare
Off at the headlights on the highway
That guy in the windshield looking back looks just like me
But there's a crack in the reflection
This is just a moonlight soaked, ring of smoke
Right hand on a cold one confession
Embers in the ashtray glow
Like memories that won't let go
I'm out here trying to get 'em untangled
In the darkness on the edge of town
A little lost, a little found
Waiting on a call from an angel
I light up the night and let it burn
Lean back and watch the sundown fade
Do what I do when life's a little sideways
I take a sip and say a prayer
Wait for a shooting star and stare
Off at the headlights on the highway
That guy in the windshield looking back looks just like me
But there's a crack in the reflection
This is just a moonlight soaked, ring of smoke
Right hand on a cold one confession
Light up the night and let it burn
Lean back and watch the sundown fade
Do what I do when life's a little sideways
I take a sip and say a prayer
Wait for a shooting star and stare
Off at the headlights on the highway
That guy in the windshield looking back looks just like me
But there's a crack in the reflection
Hope he's moving in the right direction
This is just a moonlight soaked, ring of smoke
Right hand on a cold one confession
This song brings me comfort as I face uncertainties and make hard decisions. Hope I'm movin' in the right direction.
I taught Tyler Hubbard in 8th grade. I absolutely love their music even if I had not of taught Tyler. I haven't heard anything l don't like. The words are awesome. I love TH's voice.
