Hi, Coby. The ex-Clone Trooper, unemployed and begging on the street is Temuera Morrison. He played Jango Fett in Attack of The Clones and all the Clone troopers and Clone pilots in Revenge of the Sith. It is heartwarming to see you having fun with these.
There were many complaints about this series (not from me, I love it) But one thing I think everyone can agree on, that girl was perfectly cast as Leia. And she did an amazing job.
@@johnmiller7682 Carrie Fisher would've loved her performance. Vivien Blair really captures Carrie's sass and badassery. I hope she appears in season 2 for a few episodes. Now, before anyone comes at me, McGregor has confirmed this year that ideas for a second season are being pitched to Deborah Chow, so there could be a second season after all.
I really hope they eventually do and it makes me wonder what the actress will cameo as in a future Star Wars project. I mean, they just HAVE to. We probably won't recognize her anyhow. She can be Woman Laughing with Droid in the background somewhere or a Senator's Aide of some planet.
We can all agree on she was wonderful except that was one of the the complaints I saw online. The online hate for anything new Star Wars is because nothing will every live up to everyone's personal fantasy and that they grew up with something different. Star Wars is a kids property that Lucas believed shout nod deviate from being something created for kids. We older people just have to learn to live with it and make new experience available for our kids.
@@rnkelly36 "live up to everyone's personal fantasy" That's wrong. That's not the issue. The issue is boring/lame/bad writing. All the new series are boring. The plots are dumb. The dialogue is dumb. Compare with the original films. Solo was very different than Luke. Chewbacca, C3P0, R2D2, all had very unique personalities. There was no fill, no nonsense. There was tension followed by action, while special effects were terrible yet still more interesting than the clean perfect CGI of today. They were simply better Quality products. Same with The Clone Wars and Rebels. Those Cartoons, are more REAL than the live action recent ones. The plots are better. Humor, dialogue, character development, all of those are excellent, while in all the live action series they are flat and dull. Literally all the main characters in each show are the same character. Slow moving, slow talking, depressed, dude. Andor, Ashoka, Mando, Boba, Kenobi, they are all the SAME. Same depressed dullards. Here's an idea. Imagine if all the new series were just one Star Wars, with all the different characters on their individual journeys, aka story arcs, occasionally interacting with each other, they way it was done on Game of Thrones. Some episodes focus on Mando, some on Ashoka, some on Andor, some on Boba, and at times they come together. At first individual rag tag bunch just trying to survive, but over the seasons forming into a resistance that leads to A New Hope. Now wouldn't that be a good show? And that's the point. There's nothing wrong with the concepts, the execution is piss poor, and fails entry level screenwriting film making basics.
Oh man, the first time I had Chinese food a friend suggested I get a cup of the Obi Won. It was soooo good. Sorry, that just took me back. And yes, I loved the fact that Ewan's daughter showed up to talk to Obi-Wan. Too bad his uncle didn't show up too. :P
Ewan McGregor is a great actor. The guilt and PTSD that Obi-Wan deals with is a great aspect. Your enthusiasm and excitement makes this a better watch the second time around.
Anakin being Vader was a closely held secret in the Empire. I suppose there were a handful that knew because they were directly involved in the transition. Besides them, Tarkin and Asohka figured it out because they both knew Anakin but later had close dealings with Vader, so they put 2 and 2 together.
30:30 love your joy 48:23 cool moment finally letting himself connect again 54:13 cool transition Glad you did this series. Some very cool moments I am looking forward to seeing you react to
Hayden did receive a lot of criticism for his performances in the prequel trilogy. People thought he came across as awkward and a little goofy. I thought Hayden did a pretty job. Anakin being goofy was the point. He had lived a sheltered life inside the Jedi Temple. Padme was his first attempt to speak to a female.
@@thesharpercoder He's definitely gained some newfound appreciation in recent years, and looking back, I think they do see some of the mannerisms of Vader. Plus, Ewan and Hayden really have a great time working together.
I hear some others just plain blamed the writing. I know Hayden wasn't to blame. Or even if he did have a part in it, a LOT smaller of a part than people attribute to him. As far as Anakin and the ladies, I mean, actually hitting on and getting the girl, even if it results in losing all four limbs and most function of your body, the deaths of thousands including your girl and seemingly your child, and plunges the galaxy into darkness under the iron fist of a Sith Lord... is still better than I do.
Love this series and it gets even better with multiple re-watches. So many great little touches as well as the more grand moments. I do wish there was a little more grey/white in Obi-Wan's hair to match better his full white/grey hair in Star Wars Episode 4 "A New Hope" set only 9 years later - but I've been a Star Wars nerd since 1979.. so I pick at little things LOL
One of the best spy thrillers I've seen in a LONG time. I'm just bummed that it's only getting 2 seasons. Tony Gilroy knows how to write......that's for damned sure.
The girl that gave Kenobi the spice was Ewan McGregor's daughter. Ewan purposefully is adjusting his performance throughout his journey in this role, from the movies to this, to become more and more like Sir Alec Guinness.
“He’s like whatever about Leia” dude she was clearly adopted by a rich and powerful galactic senator in ep3. Luke is the one he was charged with dumping off on Tatooine to poor folks.
1:33 is worth noting; they added it because the first episode opens with Order 66 and had the unfortunate timing of coming out right after a, uh, similar story in the news
It doesn't just look like Flea, it is Flea.Vader spends large amounts of time in what's called a "Bacta" tank. You saw Luke in one in The Empire Strikes Back after his ordeal with the "Wampa" ice creature. Lovin' your enthusiasm for this series. Andor is almost as good with an episode featuring Andy (Gollum) Sirkis.
Nice to see fine beauty, Coby!😊 I am glad you went in blind on this series.😉 Yep, good guess that was Flea, Coby.👍🏻 Ewan McGregor is only 10 years younger now, than Alec Guinness who played Obi Wan in the original Star Wars. Great reactions to the first two episodes, Coby!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I highly recommend watching the animated shows, especially before watching The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. This series takes place roughly around the same time as the Han Solo movie
Coby-wan-kenobi,allways a pleasure to go on another star wars adventure with you. as comments suggest i wouldn't go for the animated star wars stuff, just stay on target....i mean stay on the real stuff. i knew you would love this series because of all the darth vader scenes. it's not the only series with hayden/vader material....(in yoda's voice) there is another 😉
I, a faceless random who'll probably be ignored, have a request reaction or 2 for Coby. Chopper starring Eric Bana (cos it'd be interesting to see if she could pull off her old Australian accent for an entire reaction) and/or Curse of Frankenstein starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee (cos I'm still yet to see one high profile film reaction channel showcase any Hammer Horror Film).
Coby, there is a LOT going on in this series. I'll do my best to cover what I can without posting spoilers to things you haven't seen yet. Some will be "behind the scenes" things that you may find interesting, others will be minor details that you not have noticed because you're still new to the fandom (which is fine, of course). 5:40 - Go ahead... say it... "10 years after 'Operation Nightfall' and 'Order 66'." The destruction and slaughter of the Jedi Order, and the rise of the Empire. 19:00 - VERY few people know that Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader. Palpatine, of course, Grand Moff Tarkin, and a few characters you haven't met yet either knew, or highly suspected, but they were so highly ranked in the Empire that Vader was ordered to not touch them by the Emperor. Obi-Wan believed that Anakin died on Mustafar after their duel. While he knew that Anakin became Darth Vader (by name), he had completely isolated himself from any propaganda........... "news" programming because he knew that the Empire was going to do nothing but lie to the population of the galaxy. Plus, with Anakin/Vader needing that suit of armour and the breathing mask, there's no way he could tell that Anakin survived Mustafar. 19:30 - The Inquisitors were first introduced in the "Rebels" animated series, but this series is their first appearance in Live Action, also, their earliest appearance chronologically. 22:25 - I kept forgetting to touch on that before.... you're right! Vivien Lyra Blair was the PERFECT casting choice to play 10 year old Leia. I only wish Carrie Fisher had lived long enough to see who would be playing her as a much younger version of herself. Vivian does SUCH an amazing job, you'd think she actually WAS a young Carrie Fisher! 23:00 - Speaking of droids..... L0LA (Leia's tiny floating droid) actually puts Earth into Star Wars canon. "How can THAT be?" you ask... Watch the movie titled "*Batteries Not Included" (IMDB link: www.imdb.com/title/tt0092494/ ). In that movie (which is a really cute "family" movie), a pair of those little droids come to Earth, and shenanigans ensue. I've only ever seen one Reactor do that movie (Ashleigh Burton), and she loved it. Most people don't make the connection, though. And yes, I DO realize that L0LA was inspired by the little robots in that movie as a nod..... but my "head canon" makes it true. 25:45 - Yep, that was Flea alright. Good spotting! 28:35 - Yes. The entire galaxy (aside from a very few select Imperials) believe that Vader killed Anakin Skywalker. Remember, Anakin was the "Poster Boy" for the Jedi during the Clone Wars. What better way to ensure Vader's true identity stayed secret, AND make Vader look like a massive threat than to spread the propaganda that Vader had killed Anakin Skywalker? Remember when Grievous said to Anakin, "I was expecting someone with your reputation to be a little.... OLDER." 33:15 - Notice the blue trim on the clone trooper's armour. That denotes that this clone was in Anakin's 501st Legion of clone troopers. Also, that was Temuera Morrison playing that clone trooper. He player Jango Fett in Episode II as well as all of the adult clones whenever they appear. Knowing how close Anakin and Obi-Wan fought together during the war, there's a good probability that this clone knew Obi-Wan from years prior. However, he may not have remembered him. 33:45 - This spice dealer is played by Ewan McGregor's daughter, Esther. Which makes her line, "I was someone's daughter once." hit just a little bit harder. 41:45 - You're not the only one who missed that little detail, but I'm not going to spoil it for you. Let's just say, "you already saw why...." 52:45 -And NOW Obi-Wan's worst nightmare comes true.... learning that Anakin lived. Now........ think about it.... I won't spoil it if you can't figure it out... but HOW could Reva know that Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker. Take as much time as you need to.
I enjoyed this show. The actress that plays Leia is adorable, her smart acting kind of reminds me of Shirley Temple. Only thing that bothers me is the amount of time she's with Obi in this yet from the message she sent him in eps. 4 it's as if she never knew him, only from what her adopted father told her about him..deff a big deal I she does hard fans, but besides that issue I liked it..oh and that was Flee in the woods by the way.. He's been in a few movies.. Like back to the future 2 and point break
It could be a space Wale that passed away and then somehow ended up on Tatooine or maybe they are shiped there and then they leave them there for them to do whatever they want with
Hope you like it ❤️ I didn't care much for it. I wish i did! Its actually better watching it through your eyes with your excitement 😊 Im a deep lore Star Wars nerd so im pretty picky 😅 Though it has its moments...a few Andor and The Mandalorian is my favorite of the series. That was good writing and not lore breaking
COBY have you ever considered a short pixie cut ✂️ 🤔 I think a short stylish 😎 cut would take you to another level. We know you are beautiful, but man, o man you could pull ot off
Check out the fan-made edit called the Pattinson cut - it edits, and streamlines the 6 episodes into a 2½ hour movie (as it was originally intended) and stips out a lot of unnecessary stuff. Def worth checking out imho.
Before you watch Ashoka you will need to watch a few episode of the animated Clone wars series. It lasts 7 or 8 seasons so that would be a lot of react to see it all. It fills in the story of the Star Wars Characters from the "Attack Of The Clones" movie into "Revenge Of The Sith". It establishes who Ashoka is and who her master is, which will blow your mind.
All you need to know is Ahsoka was Anakin’s padawan and it’s pretty well established in The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett - maybe we can have her watch The Clone Wars movie though just to have some context
@@QuickFlixCinemaReviews But it is important to know who Ahsoka's master was because that is in there. Can't give spoilers away as Yoda says that complete with your training not ready for the burden is Coby.
@@popcornroulettereactions If this is a different member that Coby don't give too much a way you'll spoil it for her. You may want to edit out some of what you stated above.
The story makes little sense and some of the antics insult a first grader's intellect... but there are some truly epic moments and it makes the series worth it.
Wow... i might have to go back and watch your full speed run through the trio of trilogies... you nerdgasm with the best of us. And as another commenter said... you should watch clone wars, but definitely need to watch Rebels before Mandalorian and Asohka
No spoilers here, but this was originally planned to be a theatrical release like "Rogue One" and "Solo", but it got stretched into 6 eps for Disney+. Lots of filler. "Andor" is by far a better watch.
honestly even tho i dont agree with some of the show, overall i liked this mini series, btw ALL of the disney star wars shows are actually just one show, with each one being a chapter or entree? i forget the word for it.
1st Season was pretty good i'd say altough Reva (Third Sister) felt out of place for most of the season. I can see why people did not like the first season. Maybe second season will be better if it happens. Casting was great on this one. I just hope for once Disney keeps true to the characters so it might be as best as it could be.
She needs to watch The Clone Wars Series. Especially bc she likes Anakin so much, and Rebels, otherwise there´s gonna be a lot of "IDK who that is or why"
@@popcornroulettereactions there is a 20 “essential” episode list that Disney put out shortly before they aired the final season. The final season is all pretty good, but she could skip to the 4 episode finale. 24 episodes, 12 hours of content, for essentially all of the critical stuff. If she loves it, she can go back for more. Rebels is trickier. Ahsoka is basically Rebels season 5 and will tie in to the upcoming Mandalorian movie (I think).
Admittedly it's been a while since I watched Kenobi, but I can't think of a single character in this show that is exclusive to the Clone Wars show. The Inquisitors are in Rebels and you don't need to know who they are to understand this show.
I absolutely loved this show. Little Leia melts my heart every time, and it is full of great moments. Obi-Wan is lying down so as not to draw attention and keep an eye on Luke.
This show is a bit of a mixed bag some parts are genuinely great, some downright embarrassing. My biggest problem is that it had the ingredients for a classic but they fumbled it. But the good parts are enough for the show to be worth watching, imho. The highlight to me is simply getting to watch McGregor do his thing.
In my opinion, a lot of the hate that this show got came from people who never knew a broken man like Obi-Wan in real life. He was traumatized from war and the death of his best friend who he failed. He was suffering from PTSD and Depression. Did they expect him to be out swashbuckling around Tatooine, being the Mega-Troll we all remember from the prequels? Vader would have found him and Luke and we wouldn't have gotten the rest of the story.
To be fair I’ve never seen a lot of the animation and I can follow it pretty well - I do think it is set up for it to make sense without seeing the animation - but the animation obviously does enhance it like all the novels you can read
Good selection, as you don't need to know much more to enjoy this. I'd go with Mandalorian next. Ashoka can't be fully enjoyed unless you've seen Clone Wars and Rebels (both animated with multiple seasons), and Bobba Fett and Acolyte both leave much to be desired.
The only StarWars series deserving a react in Andor (echoing Rogue One). The others despite some pretty good production are pretty lame unfortunately... 😔
You should watch The Clone Wars and Rebels before this. You are missing ALOT of the story or you would have known who the Inquisitors are. They are not new.
Oh copy you Are so out of sequence. With star wars. The clone wars animated series. You should Rebels the animated series. You should have watched before this. Mandalorian mandalorian you should have watched before this Boba fetch You should have watched before this literally in that order. But I'm glad you're enjoying it, but you're missing so much. Interacters and references but if you go back and watch All those series in that order This will make a lot more sense But this is fine watching you watch

Let's just say, "you already saw why...."
52:45 -And NOW Obi-Wan's worst nightmare comes true.... learning that Anakin lived. Now........ think about it.... I won't spoil it if you can't figure it out... but HOW could Reva know that Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker. Take as much time as you need to.
Coby-Wan has been busy. 😁
Jedi robes are supposed to be ordinary since the Jedi serve the people. Robes and hoods like that are commonly worn by beings across the galaxy.
I am so excited for you to react to Obi-Wan. Enjoy!
It could be a space Wale that passed away and then somehow ended up on Tatooine or maybe they are shiped there and then they leave them there for them to do whatever they want with
Did you notice the Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift character Sung Kang who plays one of the Enquisitors?
Hi Coby hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Hope you like it ❤️ I didn't care much for it. I wish i did! Its actually better watching it through your eyes with your excitement 😊 Im a deep lore Star Wars nerd so im pretty picky 😅
Though it has its moments...a few
Andor and The Mandalorian is my favorite of the series. That was good writing and not lore breaking
Yep. It is Flea.
That’s a Jedi I’d love to have show me The Force 😊
Didn't I already watch her react tot he whole series in one video last week?
I ❤this series and hope you enjoy it as well
COBY have you ever considered a short pixie cut ✂️ 🤔 I think a short stylish 😎 cut would take you to another level.
Actually, Star Wars: Rebels would be better since most of that crew is in Ashoka and Coby doesn’t know any of them.
@ She could just watch The Clone Wars movie.
Mandalorian series is really good. definitely worth watching after Vader and ahsoka
Just the first series!
I mean, Anakin kind of did bring balance in the end. There were hundreds or thousands of Jedi, and just a handful of Sith...
@@nealhoffman7518 Not enough time to watch Clone Wars or even Rebels. I've recommended some summary videos on those before starting The Mandalorian.
No spoilers here, but this was originally planned to be a theatrical release like "Rogue One" and "Solo", but it got stretched into 6 eps for Disney+. Lots of filler.
"Andor" is by far a better watch.
The whole story behind it not being a theatrical release is quite unfortunate, would've been much better.
@@jhilal2385 It might get better in season 2.
@@EntertainmentFan11 It depends on whether they can fire Kathleen Kennedy, who is the one who has been 💩 all over the Star Wars franchise productions.
OH HELL YA!
alllright now! let's have some fun!
Yes, That's Hayden Christensen
Did Coby date Joel Edgerton?
honestly even tho i dont agree with some of the show, overall i liked this mini series, btw ALL of the disney star wars shows are actually just one show, with each one being a chapter or entree? i forget the word for it.
It hurt the way she pronounced Ahsoka.
1st Season was pretty good i'd say altough Reva (Third Sister) felt out of place for most of the season. I can see why people did not like the first season. Maybe second season will be better if it happens. Casting was great on this one. I just hope for once Disney keeps true to the characters so it might be as best as it could be.
She’s just too over the top and yells too much!
@@RustyX2010 Yeah that miight be why she felt out of place. Only screamer in the whole show xD
SPICE means drugs in SW... :D but because kids watch it too its called spice.. :D
You hit on the reason why this series wasn't great in the first episode. Far too many characters who we know are still alive in Episode 4.
Coby won Knobi 😂
She needs to watch The Clone Wars Series. Especially bc she likes Anakin so much, and Rebels, otherwise there´s gonna be a lot of "IDK who that is or why"
No time, sadly.
Let us know if there’s a good video that summaries The Clone Wars
I hope you saw the cartoons. They are canon.
I absolutely loved this show. Little Leia melts my heart every time, and it is full of great moments.
Obi-Wan is lying down so as not to draw attention and keep an eye on Luke.
You need to watch clone wars
42:50 Giggity
This show is a bit of a mixed bag some parts are genuinely great, some downright embarrassing. My biggest problem is that it had the ingredients for a classic but they fumbled it. But the good parts are enough for the show to be worth watching, imho. The highlight to me is simply getting to watch McGregor do his thing.
you need to watch clone wars and rebels
You didn't kill Anakin , I did
Reva is just too darn over the top to take her seriously!
I thought the hate was towards Reva’s over the top performance along with her telling!
Your gonna miss alot seeing as you've not seen any of The Clone Wars or Rebels... Good luck.
To be fair I’ve never seen a lot of the animation and I can follow it pretty well - I do think it is set up for it to make sense without seeing the animation - but the animation obviously does enhance it like all the novels you can read
Coby watch clone wars tv show and rebels before ashoka tv show
The plot holes are strong with this one 😂
It has always been in the nature of the sith/dark side to usurp.
Can you please move the PR logo to the bottom right? It’s distracting.
It is there to help with copyright
I thought as much but it doesn’t hurt to ask. Thank you guys so much and have a wonderful Christmas.
@@nielgregory108 They're new to her. Remember, this is her first time watching the franchise.
Just here for the Vader scenes lol. I wasn't a fan of this show as I thought the writing was pretty bad. But Vader scenes were pretty awesome.
After this series, probably check out Ahsoka?
@@NameOptional-p9u Ah, ah, ah! It's in the Mandoverse, which means she has to start The Mandalorian and make her way towards the Ahsoka series.
