Subbuteo always brings back lovely memories of my dad, I`m 63, but when I was young, my dad hand painted some great kits that weren`t available in the UK at the time and would even go to the detail of finding matching base colours. Liverpool (our team) played Borrussia Munchengladbach and the next day I had the old all white kit with the green and black chest stripe. I was so proud to have it.
Best show ever inside the temple of table soccer.I have a proposal: you can present the subbuteo advertisments in tv...starting from the oldest.keep the good work!!!
Thanks Dave - it drives me nuts as the roof is metal and amplifies it.Plays havoc with the audio mix....but you're right. Kind of cosy in it's own way.
Me and my mate loved the housemartins and i still do.Best gig I ever saw in fact, promoting their 2nd lp,people who grinned...I knew Stan went on to write children's books and always keep an eye out in charity shops. Funny thing is he pops up in my youtube in unrelated stuff like canal boating and Subbuteo.Older and grey but the old quirky sense of humour remains.Elephants feet and lemony iced buns, the conniseur of cakes.
Thank you for producing another great show and I loved the section on the new pitches. Always look forward to seeing a new episode, just a shame having to wait for the next one :-)
Fantastic episode and the muddy pitches look the business. Thanks so much for doing this and special thanks for the subtle little shout-out. We love you lot!!
Superb show. Great banter between you and Stan. I think he stole the show.🙂 Can never get enough of seeing the Hereford v Newcastle game. Role on next month's episode. 👍
I was getting worried glad to see you back great show as ever. It remains me of waiting for your favorite comic to come out . Just ordered the Pegasus five aside pitch, lets see if i can get my son of fifa to give me a game. Keep up the good work
Great video as always! Stan Cullimore is a very kind person, I love listening to House Martins' music, my favorite is "Caravan of Love" !!! See you at October!
The new lighter green Pegasus Astroturf pitches are a bit slower than the norm - but this Muddy Pitch has been designed to run a good bit slower to reflect the conditions.
“Dancin’ The Blues” don’t mind if I do 😁😂😂😂 Great show as always TFM team 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Next project, a Littler CD for Christmas 🤩 Very best wishes from County Wicklow ☘️
When I was a kid/ teen in the 90's, I had a football board game. I'd ordered it from the back of a magazine, I think it might've been called something like Striker. You had a club and player cards and it was very like Top Club Soccer, it might actually have been an issue of that game although the images I've seen are not exactly as I remember (may be me though!). If anyone has a clue what I'm on about I'd love to find it again. It might work nicely combined with solo subbuteo.
I believe it was called Striker League Champions and mixed a board game, shooting into a real goal with Striker Playing Figures and a plastic League Table. We'll be featuring it in a Board Game Special once COVID restrictions are relaxed.
1. Even though you said the muddy pitch is based on the Baseball Ground does the pitch come in a Baseball Ground edition where players sink into the surface and the ball only rolls a few centimeters? 2. Have you though about doing a Subbuteo crossbar challenge? 3. Since you also review and play board based footy games, have you played Penalty? I had this as a kid and really enjoyed playing it
Is there a rule which states that the two opposing teams have be the same style of players, or can you play heavyweight team vs lightweight, or subbuteo vs zeugo?
During the 60s heavyweights could play against "Flats" in the Europa Cup and in many Clubs and these days many Clubs invite all equipment. So no rule but clearly needs to be agreed among opponents.
@@TableTopYears Nice to hear 👍 It's great to see how a project like this can grow. And I hope those beautiful muddy pitches will be out of stock this fast, too, because it show's that the community is always open minded for new ideas like that 😊
Great episode as usual. Stan Cullimore seems like such a lovely and genuine guy
Almost unrecognisable from his Housemartins days!

I love it when you can hear rain smattering down on the studio roof. Cosy like an open log fire on a winter evening but in a different way.
Thanks Dave - it drives me nuts as the roof is metal and amplifies it.Plays havoc with the audio mix....but you're right. Kind of cosy in it's own way.
The rain is singing like you who flicking...
I’m only now realizing how many different rules sets are mixed together in the way I was taught and continue to play.

Brilliant. The banter between Keith and Stan was top notch!

Can never get enough of seeing the Hereford v Newcastle game.
Role on next month's episode. 👍
The 'original' astro, 1980, was a revelation. Pin-point passing became the norm. Hope the roll of the ball is similar to this new edition?
I've still got mine from the early 80s, unfortunately it's crumpled and full of creases from years in storage.
@@MrJonno85 better than current astro pitches, though
Just found you! Will slowly go through each episode... if this episode is anything to go by... this should be a fun exercise!
I only play by these rules now. With Keith and Smiffy's house rules too. It's just the best! It is so much fun, and so much better!
Fantastic episode, yet again. A massive well done to the whole TFM team! x

amazing show keith the interview was brilliant, I loved the housemartins. you are definitely a man of many talents
i wrote this comment before watching the match recreation and as a toon fan I am now in tears
Sorry about the Newcastle thing.
Awesome episode, thank you👍 That training pitch was an instant buy, can't wait for the delivery 😁
Fab, and well done Danielle for the modernising touches 👏👏👏
Absolutely love these can you do a episode on terraces and stadium design
Any idea when the new Pegasus pitch will be on sale? Definitly want to get my hands on one of those!
Any time now
Great video as always!

See you at October!
That muddy pitch is phenomenal, I was wondering whether all the pegasus pitches were that good neutral speed also?
The new lighter green Pegasus Astroturf pitches are a bit slower than the norm - but this Muddy Pitch has been designed to run a good bit slower to reflect the conditions.
The lighter green would be a concern trying to keep it clean? The darker version would hide imperfections/wear?
Thanx for sharing. Absolutely positive content!

Thanks Paul...glad you liked the song. It was written primarily as a tribute to Bowie and Ronson and turned into a 70s nostalgia fest :)
Best episode yet and loved the closing song.
Thank you :)
The Undertones also play subbuteo in the video to My Perfect Cousin which is well worth watching for Feargal Sharkeys animated reactions
funny plus great info pure class cheers you should put out your own old school rules with your new pitch keep up the good work all the best
Smith has his own camera for the intro section.... About time! Where is the pause button when I get to 29 minutes? xxx
If only you mentioned it before!!

Hey TFM friends ...I always put a read recipt on my entry and get Not read: September Competition am I still getting entered?
Great Show again All 👍

@@TableTopYears Thanks Keith.
Yahoo! Another month. :) another TFM!!
The interview's hilarious 🤣
Excuse me, how is this strong old man from interview ?
Superb as always, can Stan be on every month? He’s hilarious
What??? And have him remind me he's on a Subbuteo Poster every month!!! I couldn't take it :)
Awesome show, love the outro music
Thank you
@@TableTopYears Could you turn on subs for this video, please.
18:39 Keith and Stan dance like Laurel and Hardy lol. 😂
Brilliant video
your a great player Keith
great stuff team!
Too many biscuits of the disco variety I assume. 😉😂
Love these shows, but feel they are becoming top heavy with Subbuteo of late.
The audience dictates the content - we have other games lined up but we're already at an hour per EP and try to remember the Series is free :)
Can anyone tell me which month the TTY team did a feature on goals (as in the posts and net) for Subbuteo please?
It was our first 'Lockdown' Special so March or April this year.
@@TableTopYears Ah, thanks so much.
1 Day later and the training pitch is "out of stock" 😅
More on the way Max
