  • Music shall resume shortly. Had to speak on a few pressing issues before putting up some more songs about girls and heartbreaks.

I begin to feel very a bad combination of desperation, helplessness, stress, anger, hurt, loneliness, and disgust when I see such things on Facebook, and hear snippets of it in my life. It’s been hard, specially when having no one to talk to. It’s suffocating, honestly.

This was beautifully put together. I tried to educate old work colleagues on the issues, but after a while it just felt like I wasn’t going to change her mind so I haven’t blocked her but I have deleted her, just for peace of mind. Will try and share this on my socials :)

Yeah I feel there comes a point where you can’t do any more and it’s just pointless. Thanks for watching and sharing mate ☺️

Hi Arthur, I've had issues in my band with a few fans at gigs spouting the "all lives matter" spiel and then started saying f*** the n*****s and stuff like that and rather than kick off we immediately took this guy to the side and told him "dude, we will not kick off or kick your ass over this as we're not about that, but you cannot go around treating fans like that, using that language, is wholly unacceptable and until you make things right, however that may be you are no longer welcome at our shows, goodbye"
I haven't seen, heard from or spoke a single word from him since, but he still continues to post his "pro white" stuff on facebook, and also sees homophobia as an illness, he's a lost cause, HOWEVER the day he wants educating on why his behaviour is wrong, the day he holds his hands up and apologises for his behaviour publicly, we are willing to talk to him again, but i cannot and will not go out of my way to speak to someone who is that openly disgusting to my bands fanbase.
We play a fairly heavy variant of metal, and we are aware that in some black families and the black community, a lot of families dont like their children enjoying metal music, and we want our shows to be a safe haven for all, you should be able to enjoy the music you like, where you want, when you want, how you want.
Live music should be all inclusive, and behaviour like the guy showed our fanbase, just isnt cool.
This video has opened my eyes to a few things as I try to see the best in everyone, I really do, but there's only so much you can do to help people.
Stay strong and do what you do best dude
Enjoying the stuff over past few months on the channel
    Keep it up man

I’ve always been afraid of talking for black people and other poc but I’ve noticed over the past month why white voices are important. If I explain to another white person how racism still exists sometimes they’re more willing to listen. I think the best way is to try to be calmly explain things to them works the best because if you attack them they just get on the defense. I don’t block them if they don’t block me cause I post lots of black lives matter content and it’s probably good for them to keep seeing it. This is such a well done video. 💙

Yes! Exactly. And keep up the posting because the more they see you posting it - some of it may stick. Thanks for watching dude ☺️

I call them out on it an try educate them try make them see it from the other perspective. Its horrifying to learn how many people are racist , yet alot of people are so closed minded the will never see life in a different way. I use social media to voice the black lives matter movement and Its shocking to see the amount of people who get offended

Honestly it just depends on my investment in the person. If they’re someone I genuinely love/can’t cut out then I believe I have a duty to capitalise on the fact they respect me enough to attention to me. But in my experience, getting white people to acknowledge the humanity of Black people enough to take their concerns seriously - regardless of how “radical” the views in question may appear - is the real battle, and it’s not one I am always in a position to directly influence. It’s a matter of empathy more than education. Ignorant people will generally turn a blind eye to any evidence presented if it doesn’t come from a palatable source, so I’ve basically been trying to appeal to my white friends who already care and asking they use their privilege to educate their peers on how their ignorance is dangerous and affects the livelihoods of Black people.

Exactly! It sucks, but no matter how you phrase something to someone - they just won’t listen unless it comes from a white person they respect.
