One thing I can definitely say is to never take car in for brake or service of anything in those areas while the covers are on. Most of them don't know certain nuances tied to proper re-install. And not really their fault since covers are aftermarket, not factory equipment. The arms are made of aluminum so they will take a stretch, see image attached for reference, thank you!
Can you send us a picture that shows the incorrect fitment
Totally see your point but heat has no impact on properties or fundamentals or magnetism. 3M adhesion is actually strengthened through heat. Overall I would say this combo of attachment methods is no less secure or safe than MGPs clips. The whole idea of any covers is totally cosmetic without any true functionality though.
That's definitely a differentiator, you are right. CCI has has an "implied" warranty of sorts. If you put them on exactly as they are intended to be then there would be no failure. If there is any failure then you have to prove you didn't screw something up at install which is not likely to be possible. But it's also a much smaller scale shop by comparison so there is always implied risk. No failure in close to a year so far. I still have my MGPs and the point of this whole thing was to just try something different for look purposes. I agree that when it comes to comparing long term manufacturer backing it's apples and oranges.
@@carsick309 MGP has a warranty? but if they send you custom caliper covers that dont fit your vehicle you cant send them back for news ones, adjustments, or a refund? No. They are aluminum. I can see why you might think plastic because of some flex when you hold them and try moving them around. They also don't have that "plastic look" like the fake Brembos or similar garbage out there.

In order to align the covers properly on a vehicle's caliper to meet the mounting points you can push or pull the welded arms closer to each other or away from each other as required. Each arm is welded at the front plate but the rest of the arm is free to adjust without snapping. The arms are made of aluminum so they will take a stretch, see image attached for reference, thank you!
Can you send us a picture that shows the incorrect fitment
Are they talking about calipers having welded arms? What the heck are those? I don't have anything welded that's for sure.
Hot brake calipers? Magnets? 3M tape? Hard pass.
How’s your warranty??? MGP is warranty for life...
This is going to make me order a basic black one and slap a sticker over the MGP logo rather than shell out $500 for a custom carbon fiber one.
Are these plastic?
No. They are aluminum. I can see why you might think plastic because of some flex when you hold them and try moving them around. They definitely have some give but there is no visible flexing in driving conditions. Seem to resist heat pretty well because of 2 layers in middle. They also don't have that "plastic look" like the fake Brembos or similar garbage out there.
CarSick30 got ya thank you.
CCI paid Add!!!!!!!!
Not at all. I have nothing to do with those guys. My car isn't even on their IG or website. I also got no discounts for this. Just thought it would be good to have another video out there.
